So i kind of want a way to change the look of youtube in my screen. Like the way it looks is fine rn ig, but it would be cool if i could change it to something more personalized or something like that. There are 2 totally major things i wanna do.
first, I like their fonts and everything but a more swirly font like rochester would be so cool
also like red isn't really my color so it would be cool if i could change that to a nice pinkish orange or something like that
im not that good at coding and stuff but i would assume this would be pretty easy. like i got the colors to change in a cool game i found in python by just changing the numbers at the top. i would think that the font thing would be easy too by just changing a variable somewhere.
I was all hyped about doing this but i couldnt find the code to youtube anywhere online for download or in any of my folders on my computer and i was kind of confused bc someone must have done what i want to do before so i came here to ask you guys.

Go to Youtube.com using Chrome as your browser. Right click anywhere one the page and select inspect. This will open up Dev Tools. You can change colors. Edit HTML. Run JavaScript. Whatever you want.

I have a javascript link (works like a plugin, but not plugin, it's just a javascipt link), the user can just drag and drop the link to it's bookmark bar.
Everything is working, but when the URL/location link is too long, it's very annoying that when the use mouses over the bookmark, it will also show the URL/Location link.
So is there a way not to display the URL/Location link when mousing over?
It would be better if we can display a customized description;
It would be better if it works for all major browsers;
It would be better if it's cross-platform;
Any reasonable suggestions or even hacks are also welcomed as long as it will improve the user experience.

Not without modifying the browser at a deep level. And if you are going to do that, you don't need to use a bookmarklet.
But you can add a comment to the code to explain it.
Example:
javascript:/*--A-very-short-description--*/document.location=...
I choose to use - instead of spaces because spaces are encoded to %20, which is much worse that - for reading.
This won't hide the code, but it does make the bookmarklet slightly more friendly.
Using this, there is a slight trick that in Firefox and maybe other browsers that sort of "hides" the code. Firefox shows only the beginning and ends of the code, not all of it. So if you code begins and ends with a comment, you can effectively hide the code.
Approximate example:
javascript:/*------------------------*/document.location=.../*------------------------*/
In Firefox this will look something like "javascript:/------------...--------------/"
You can experiment with the details to get the desired result.
At work, I have to jump into old mysql_query procedural website build higgledy-piggledy (some var are camelCased AND underscored, no indent code, page are build in table ...)
Anyway, usually I m using ST2, but here I can't. So to search my line code, I use dreamweaver to click on the screen preview and the cursor drop on the code line I want.
I do not like and I don't know dreamweaver. But as code is UNREADABLE, that is the only way I have to work.(My boss doesn't want rebuild theses sites).
Here is my question, does anybody know for ST2 a way (or a plugin) to split screen and click on screen preview to go right to the code line just like dreamweaver preview does ?

I am creating a site for non-techies and it requires them to be able to add rich text content. I have been looking at Markdown for this, and would like to use that.
I have been searching around for a nice (jquery) ui control to make editing simple, but everything I have looked at has the live preview living somewhere else on the page other than the input box. (WMD is like this, markitup, etc..)
I would like to use something that makes it feel like you are using a word processor. Like how TinyMCe does it, but running on Markdown, not HTML
Is there anything like that, or maybe somewhere that shows how to build it?
To clarify, I'm looking for an editor that makes it feel like you are typing in the live preview; not a textbox with a preview above/below.
If I get what you're looking for, then the simplest approach would be to generate HTML with TinyMCE or CKEditor, then apply something like Markdownify to the output of e.g., tinymce.getContent().

Check out Stack Edit It's a great WYSIWYG markdown editor - syncs with Google Docs, Dropbox & CouchDB, publishes to Github (and many other places), and offers easy link sharing. You can access it on their website or using the Chrome app. You can create titles and lists in the editor there, and it will show you the corresponding text in markdown format. You can then save, publish, share, or download the file.
Markdown would not be compatible with a WYSIWYG editor. Consider this sample Markdown:

If you were making a WYSIWYG editor, what would happen after you typed [Google]? Would you see blue underlined text? Would you just see [Google] since it's not a valid hyperlink yet? What about after you type the trailing []? It's still not a fully-defined hyperlink; you can't click it, because Markdown doesn't know where it links.
And how does the user type that [Google]: http://www.google.com/ follow-up line? That line isn't displayed; it's markup; it's invisible. Where do you type invisible text into a WYSIWYG editor?
I'm currently using CodeMirror as a browser based code editor, but what really annoys me is its lack of real tabbing. It uses spaces instead of tabs, and I just cant get my code as clean as desktop editor.
Are there any better editors out there? It can be DOM based or Javascript or even browser specific, just as long as it gives me real tabs! :)
PS. I've had a look at Ace, which looks like it should do the job, but I cant seem to get real tabs to work - anyone tried it?

Does the opening Window enhance an application's attractiveness? Should it be a picture or bland Blue and White?
Use the default OS theme colors. Anything else will be attractive to certain groups of people, and ugly to others (who will complain very loudly about how ugly they find it). If you stick with the OS theme colors, then at least your application's appearance will not be something you'll be criticized over.
Some people like it clean and nice, while others consider stylish themes to be positive and nice to have. You gotta consider who your application is pointed towards and do what that group is interested in.
I would use the default OS colors. But actually if i could, i wouldn't put any color/themes at all there. I would put some information/controls in that area (assuming you talk about the background of an MDI/SDI application). Similar to what the most recent openoffice 3 version has done. For example, put "What do you want me to do? Open / Exit / Tutorial / ..." into it.
