I have a problem when launch the instance of acumatica 2017 r2 version in my local pc. I already create customization project for this instance and need to unpublish this customization project.
But when I try to do that action, I got this error message when I launch the instance. Please refer to the following screenshot.
Please anyone if know how to solve this issue, will be apreciated.
Thanks
Have a look at https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.badimageformatexception(v=vs.110).aspx. In the Remark section, it explains potential source of this errors.
I have seen this error in other software in the past when trying to build a 32 bit application referencing 64 bits dlls.

We updated our SQL Server from Standard to Enterprise. All my solutions were originally built in Visual Studio 17 (SSTD) and deployed as VS 8, 12, 14. I updated one of my reports and deployed it as VS16. The report worked at first, then became really laggy. All other reports were working fine. I attempted to open the solution using Blend, but it indicated it was incompatible. When I attempted to reopen the solution using VS 17 (SSDT), it indicated the same error (incompatible). Now I am unable to open any solution using VS 17 (SSDT) nor Blend. They all indicate that they are incompatible. I noticed that the Microsoft Reporting Services Projects extension (Ver 2.5.9) was disabled. I re-enabled it, but it did not resolve the issue. Not sure what to try next...…..
Update: After trying a multitude of possible solutions that worked for others, this was a really simple fix (which I found by accident). If anyone receives an 'incompatibility', I would definitely suggest this, prior to any other attempt.
I opened VS 17 (SSDT) and attempted to load my solution.
In the Solution Explorer, the Solution is listed with (incompatible) in brackets.
Right Click on the Solution Name and look for the 'Resolve Issues' option.
That was it. Resolved!
Hope this helps anyone who receives the same issue.
When I run myeclipse 2015 stable cn 1.0, I got the following error message:
An internal error occurred during: "Initialize metrics".com/genuitec/eclipse/core/gsdc/GSDCController
How do I resolve this problem?
Do you just see this in the log or do you see an error dialog as well, and is this something you see on every workspace start?
If you look at the Error Log, can you find the stack trace corresponding to this and paste it here? Alternatively, do post at http://myeclipseide.com/forums for additional support.
Update (Sep 22, 2017): This issue has been fixed in version 2017 CI 8 of Webclipse / Angular IDE / Darkest Dark / MyEclipse. If you are using an earlier version, as pointed out below, the problem is caused by inability to write to your Eclipse installation. Re-installing into a location which does have write access would be the best approach, though you can run as Administrator on Windows too.
Try to reinstall.
I had this problem with Eclipse, not MyEclipse, and it turned out that it was installed by another user in Program Files. Now I installed it at default location, under my user directory, and this error doesn't show anymore.
Also I manage to run this "bad" installation as administrator without such problems.
I also encounter this problem but it happen in Eclipse.
I think this link may help you.
https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/initialize-metrics-has-encountered-a-problem/
General speaking, The problem is most likely caused due to the plugins not having full write access to your workspace or the Eclipse installation
so, you just do this: Run Eclipse as an administrator!
I also encounter this problem in MyEclipse.
Since last Month, I reinstall the system but the disk E.
After install the new system, the disk E turned into disk D.
So I modify the data myeclipse.ini and configuation/config.ini. I modify the E into D.
Run MyEclipse got the following error message.
After I change back to the primary data and Move the MyEclipse to the new disk E. After it's OK.
Error message:
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
This was the error message I got when I tried to launch Visual Studio 2012 on my Windows 8.1 system. There is no other information to act upon other than this, which is rather the same as "We don't know what's wrong. We will tell you if we know (but I don't think we do)". It was actually working before it just decided to stop.
The last configuration I made before it began to show this error was that I selected the option to load the last solution whenever I launch Visual Studio, and this was done in the options dialog. I don't think that could have caused Visual Studio to suddenly crash. The previous error message included something that had to with a change in configuration.
I have checked that ActivityLog.xml file in.
There were basically four errors:

I have searched on Stack Overflow, Bing and Google. The solutions I got from there didn't work. Some had to do with registry settings, deleting keys, etc. I even disabled all the extensions from the registry. There was a time it was showing another message that "Object reference was not set to ...".
I don't know what to do. The only solution I have not tried is the one that I should download the updates. Update 4 is about 2 GB. That will take me, at least a week to download. Is there anything I can do?
PS: I tried to uninstall it. It does absolutely nothing. From the Control Panel, there's only the option to change. Clicking it seems to do something but nothing appears. I tried running from the set up from the .iso file. It shows nothing, too. How can I fix this problem?
There's probably nothing we can help you with here, my view is that you need to reinstall VS. If you cannot uninstall or repair it then you should contact Microsoft.
I am able to fix this problem by installing latest version of of .NET Framework. May be helpful for others as well.
I have been sent a working project from a coworker to start learning Visual Studio. The project is under version control, however I don't want to have access to final customer product. So when I try to open the solution file I first get a message that the project is under source control:
"Team Foundation Server Version Control
The solution you are opening is bound to source control on the following Team foundation Serer:
http:// . Would you like to contact this server to try to enable source control integration?"
[yes] [no] [help]
I press no, then I get an error:
"The solution appears to be under source control, but its binding information cannot be found. Because it is not possible to recover the missing information automatically, the projects whose bindings are missing will be treated as not under source control."
[ok] [help]
I proceed and press ok, and another message pops up:
"projectname\projectname.tsproj: The application which this project type is based on was not found. Please try this link for further information: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?prd=12395&pver=11&sbp=ProjectTypeDeprecated&plcid=0x409&clcid=0x409&ar=MSDN&sar=ProjectCompatibility&o1=B1E792BE-AA5F-4E3C-8C82-674BF9C0715B"
My coworker tells me he sent the whole project, so I can't figure out why I cant get visual studio to open it. I am new to visual studio, but I have some programming experience.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you
It is doubtful that version control has something to do with your problem. There are two possibilities I could think of:
Your coworker uses full version of VS2012 and you are now having problems due to the fact that Visual Studio Express comes in two main flavours - Web and Desktop. It is unable to load Web(or Desktop) project because it just does not have any tools to work with it. Ask your coworker whether they mix web and desktop in their solutions. If it is so you should either use full VS or be given a reduced set of projects.
Nearly the same - your coworker uses some very old or very new version of particular project type (something like ASP.NET MVC that(as I remember) has different project type for each version). Again ask your coworker if it is so. In this case you will just have to install the needed templates and SDKs.
P.S. I was unable to open your link - it opens microsoft.com/default(maybe due to some regional problems). Search by key words brought to me similar problem for VS2010 http://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/details/728847/could-not-open-vs2010-solution-with-mvc-project - may be it could help you more specifically.
It has been a while since I've published my app to Azure. During that time frame, I've upgraded my system from 32-bit to 64-bit meaning a fresh install of Windows and Visual Studio. And Visual Studio Update 3 came out and was applied. When I went to publish an update today, I received the following:
The following exception was thrown trying to publish: Root element is missing.
My web.config file looks fine so I don't think it's this issue.
The app works fine in debug mode so I don't think it's any of the .lsml files as is mentioned here.
And I tried this procedure to hand edit the .ls3proj file but it didn't seem to help.
I previously had an issue trying to publish when I upgraded from the standalone LightSwitch 2011 to Visual Studio 2012. I was able to overcome that issue using the method described in this thread.
Attempting to use this same method resulted in my new project has a full screen error saying "There are critical errors in the application definition metadata..." and 210 individual errors (max errors reached).
The first error, "Cannot create unknown type '{http://schemas.microsoft.com/LightSwitch/2010/xaml/model}GlobalAttributeGroup'." Doesn't make sense because that line in the .lsml is identical from the old project to the new project.
The second error, "Could not find any application definition in the project." Which I do not understand at all.
I am able to publish a simple "Hello, world" style app to my Azure account.
What could be causing this? How can I get more information about exactly which element is causing the issue? The log produced by running devenv /log was not helpful.
Matt Thalman was able to solve my problem over in the Microsoft Forums. The ServiceConfiguration.cscfg and ServiceDefinition.csdef were missing from the project when checked out of version control. Copying those over from a new project restored my ability to publish.
