Xamarin forms app no longer connected to easy tables - azure

I have recently develop an Xamarin forms app which was linked to Microsoft Azure easy tables. This is a B2B app and will only be used by half a dozen users. It has been approved by the App Store. The syncing with the easy tables worked great.
My client is very familiar with Microsoft Access, and wished to be able to view the tables and add/edit data via this software. I successfully set up the express server and using ODBC linked the database to Access. With no problems on that end. I can see the data, delete rows and add/edit data.
But when I checked the app, the sync to the easy tables was hanging. And when I went into Azure. The easy tables are listed but they have no columns or data.
Are the easy tables now defunct because I have used ODBC to access them? Are they now different somehow?
How do I fix this? Is there a different connection I need to use? Do I need to set up a web api now? Do I need to use a different Nuget package/code? I am just not sure which direction I need to head.
The data is still there as I can see it in Microsoft Access.
Or do I just cut my losses and recreate the database and a new set of easy tables? There is not a lot of data to recreate and I have them in CSV files.
If this is the case, what is the best way of my client accessing and adding or editing the data from Azure? I realise the obvious one is developing a mobile app for him. I just wanted to check if there is any other way?
Thanks

Thank you very much for assisting me. Your advice, although did not directly solve the problem. It sent me down a rabbit hole of looking at the data in the actual SQL Database, and when I was there it asked me to login. I remembered I had changed the password to the server, when I was setting up the database in Microsoft Access as I could not not remember the original one (rookie mistake and I should know better). I changed the password back (as I found it in the connection string). Both now work. Thanks again.

Excel Mobile Data Entry Form

I am trying to create a data entry "app" to collect daily readings across our site. Here are the three biggest constraints:
Software - ideally, we would use some software within the Microsoft 365 Suite, mainly because those are the only approved apps on site. It may be possible to use open source software, but that might raise some flags in terms of security. So my thoughts are to use either Excel or Access.
Cost - ideally, we do not want purchase any additional software licenses. I would try and create something with Power Apps, but we do not have the licensing for an Azure or SQL server to store the data. I could be missing something here though.
Mobile-Friendly - finally, it needs to work on an Android tablet. Currently, we collect readings using pen and paper. The whole idea of this is to move towards using a tablet.
The easiest approach would be to create an Excel spreadsheet, save it on OneDrive, and edit the spreadsheet. I don't love this option because we are collecting 100's of data points each day. This would end up with a very wide spreadsheet that will be cumbersome to navigate.
The other option I looked into was creating an Access database and accompanying form and storing it on SharePoint. However, it seems Microsoft has stopped supporting Access databases on SharePoint.
I have created data entry forms using VBA, similar to this, but these do not work on mobile.
Is it possible to create a data entry form in Excel that also works on the Android version of Excel? Are there other alternatives I am not thinking of?
I am engaged in just this kind of project also. I have written an app in PowerApps, built an Excel spreadsheet and stored it in OneDrive, and am running it (the app) on an iPad. The design differs somewhat from your description of directly presenting a spreadsheet to the user (which I think PowerApps could do) because I don't want users having direct access to the data.
Edit: You do not need Azure or SQL, unless you are storing tons of data. Excel can be a satisfactory data storage location for modest uses.
I found the learning curve for PowerApps to be quite steep, as it's a different paradigm than line-by-line coding.
I think this is a more user friendly way to collect data than trying to run an Excel form, and once you get it made and polished, you'll look like a pro :)
I am by no means an expert but if you need some tips I'll do what I can to help. It sounds like we are at similar developmental stages.

Microsoft Forms does the job when created from OneDrive on mobile browser. Side note: the form I just created and the response I submitted have now disappeared from my OneDrive.
I also saw some people using Power Automate to save responses from a form into an Excel file (every reponse).

add SSRS pool to SharePoint - few issues

i know this is gonna be a Little akward because the Image i am gonna post is in German,
but essentialy what i am trying to do, is create a Service Pool for Reporting Services,
now it is Very important that i am able to check the last Checkbox so my PowerPivot is gonna work, but i don't know what it is that's making it impossible for me to do so, anybody have any Ideas ?
NOTE: the message sais: There are no Webaplications associated with this SQL Server Reporting Services-Service Application available
Your Help is as always well Appreciated!
Fixed it, by removing the existing Association beetween the SSRS Service with the Web App,
apparently you can only associate one SSRS Service per Time

How to upsize Access 2013 to Sharepoint on Office365, but still keep synced "offline tables"

In a previous question (Options for cloud based MS Access backend) one poster, Albert D. Kallal, stated:
"...you could certainly consider to up-size your Access back end tables up to office 365 and continue to use your Access front end. And more amazing is with Access 2010 this means you get a "off line" and disconnected mode. This means that your application will continue to run EVEN WITH NO internet connection. The instant you find a wifi then the data sync process starts again. And this sync is not file based, but record based and is really replication built into the product and this setup requires ZERO extra code on your part."
I am looking for any pointers as to how I may do this. I have found how to export tables into Sharepoint (but from what I can see, there is then no local copy of the tables) and have also found how to convert to a web app - but but I can't seem to find anything about how to keep my current FE, have tables in Office365, and still get the "offline" mode whereby I can still access local copies of the BE tables when I have no internet access, as posted by Albert.
Any help, or links to appropriate content, would be appreciated
Please note I am relatively advanced when it comes to Access, but am totally new to Sharepoint/Office365.

Excel 2007 Pass-Through Windows Authentication

I've created a simple (asmx) web service which returns a DataSet.
I've added the webservice to my Excel 2007 workbook using the Data -> From Web button and I'm able to view / refresh the data.
The problem comes when I need to secure the web service: I've turned on Windows authentication for the web service and the request uses SSL.
Unfortunately, the user's logged on windows credentials aren't used by Excel when trying to refresh the data - the refresh fails.
If I click on Data -> Connections -> Properties -> Definition -> Edit Query, only then am I prompted for my windows credentials and does the refresh then succeed.... not a problem for me, but not something I want every user of this spreadsheet to have to do... any ideas how to make the prompt come up when the refresh is attempted instead of having it fail??
Thanks!!
Update Answers so far are to do with SharePoint and Excel Services (neither of which are any use to me)... and one link for which "The following procedure does not apply to data that is retrieved from a text file or a Web query"... I just want a person with a copy of excel on his desktop machine to be able to update from a password-protected web service... is that so hard Microsoft??
Another Update Still no answers accepted - because no answers so far have provided a working solution ( Nice googling though - thanks guys ;-) )
While I haven't got SSL I can attest that Excel normally shouldn't ask you for authentication when using pass through authentication.
My guess is that you will need to add the destination website (with the https) to your trusted zone in IE. The effect should be that when you go to the website you shouldn't be challenged for your password at all. IE will now pass through the authentication credentials because the destination is in the trusted zone.
Once this is fixed Excel should treat it like a normal website.
Here's a link which talks you through adding your site to the trusted zone: http://www.nateirwin.net/2007/01/19/enabling-ntlm-authentication-in-firefox-and-internet-explorer/
The last time I dealt with this issue was in 2004. If I remember correctly, this is a bug in the Web Query technology in how the query deals with the SSL certificate. This is Excel 97 technology; therefore, fairly basic implementation.
After much research and troubleshooting, the only way around this issue is to create user and password parameters and post the web query. Using POST will keep the user/password hidden from prying eyes.
Following is my note from 2004: There is a problem with https, application/vnd.ms-excel, Internet Query (iqy), and Excel 2000/2002.
Have you checked out this question: What do I need to do to make Excel access a Web Query via HTTPS?

I don't know if this will help, but I faced a similar situation while importing data from a remote SQL Server Database. What I did was create a role inside the database itself, and assign any users who needed access to that role.
The data is updated into the workbook when the file is loaded using Microsoft Query, so I don't know how that might differ from how you have done things.
The biggest issue with doing it this way was to open the properties for the query and check the "Use Trusted Connection" box. This worked without an issue for me. Again, this was from a remote server, not a secure website. Hope this helps.
i hope this will help you : Refresh connected imported data
We had a similar situation at work, however, we are using Office 2010. I'm not sure of the limitations of 2007. Check out these links. The last two are specifically for Excel 2007.

Using ETL (non-MS) to get data from Infopath forms stored in Sharepoint 2007

I'm looking at the architecture for a DW project and there will be the need for some manual collection of [structured] data eg the monthly accounting results from a country manager where they need to complete a form and fill in half a dozen values etc.
I really like the idea of using SP and InfoPath for this as it gives the security, the workflow and the customisability etc that mean it can be easily deployed as the client already has SP rolled out. The bit I am less clear on is how, technically, we might interface to the SP workflows and the forms themselves. Ideally the data would end up dropped into a database and we would use our [their!] standard ETL (DataStage, possibly sat on a linux server) via ODBC and pick it up like any other datasource but I am not sure what this requires on the SP side. The alternative would be to get at the XML of the individual forms and pull the info from there.
Are these appaoches feasible? What would need to be set up on the SP side in order to make this integration as robust and seamless as possible? Can anyone point me at docs/reading matter that might give me some more background info?
Thanks,
Dex
First up, accessing sharepoint's databases is never the answer to any integration question. You should treat it as a black box.
So, how should you get the data? Web Services + HTTP. SharePoint offers a large amount of Web services to get at the data you need. If you're working with IP forms, then ultimately you will need to grab the resultant XML file from the document library and parse it to get the data you need. The Web services can be used to enumerate the IP forms, and you can use straight HTTP to grab to xml file. This is probably the approach that would be offered by most experienced sharpepoint people.
