I have my custom keyboard that's fine with all iPhones except iPhone X. In my custom keyboard i create UI with XIB file and i am not using Autolayout. Here is how i add my keyboard view in Keyboard Extension.
self.myKeyX.frame = self.inputView.frame;
[self.inputView addSubview:self.myKeyX];
However my keyboard show only in black Area and not showing full keyboard place. Please see in photo. How can i solve it? Thank you.

When I start testing input text field in android phone either in app or web browser, after the virtual keyboard appear and I try rotate screen from landscape to portrait, the keyboard got change but the screen layout dint resize still is landscape but only smaller n at top.
It need to close the keyboard then the screen layout will start resize and this is in app.
Any idea that can cause this happen?
And any solution for it.
Im learning Android studio now and encounter this problem with Layout Preview. I cant see phone frame.Ok, it's not big deal, but in result I see that the toolbar was not counted in design. For better understanding look at picture Virtual Device and Layout preview comparison. For layout preview and virtual device I picked Nexus 6. Screen sizes should be exactly the same. In the picture you can see the button in the layout preview. But in the virtual device the button is almost completely out of the screen bounds.
This is a link to my app
HelloWorldApp
WORKS!!!
Click that 'eye' icon and select the 'Show layout decorations'. Done.
Try this,
Click on Preview-> Visibility Symbol which named as view options
There is one option, Show Layout Decorations , Select this options.
For reference find below image:
I hope its work for you.
You can try to select device and theme for your preview window see attached image

In the new version, you can see this feature in the 'layout validation' vertical bar on the right.
I have an iPad app that uses the RootViewController/DetailViewController pattern like most iPad apps. As usual, in landscape mode my RootViewController is "docked" to the left side of the screen, and the DetailViewController fills up the remainder of the screen.
What I would like to do is hide the RootViewController and allow the detail view to fill up the entire screen even in landscape mode. Is this possible?
I tried calling dismissPopoverAnimated, but this doesn't seem to have any effect in landscape mode.
since u have tagged ios4, I would like to say that that option has been disabled in ios 4.. it was possible in ios 3 but I am not able to find out how...
I have attached a toolbar with a UITextField and UIButton to the keyboard when it becomes the first responder via the user taping inside the textfield
textField.inputAccessoryView = theToolbar;
Problem is, the toolbar disappears when the keyboard is dismissed, thus preventing any further input.
Any ideas on how to make the toolbar go back to the bottom of the screen rather than off it completely?
I'm thinking a delegate method might help but Im really not too sure. It seems once the inputAccessoryView always the inputAccessoryView :(
Cheers
The input accessory view is automatically dismissed with the input view (the keyboard, in this case). Generally you do not want to have an input accessory view in your view hierarchy. Instead, if you want your toolbar to scroll up when the keyboard is shown, you should follow the guidelines for Managing the Keyboard.
You could try using an additional toolbar that is offscreen as the inputAccessoryView, which could "fake" the appearance of what you are trying to do. Alternatively, have you tried adding the toolbar back to the bottom of the screen using
[self.view addSubview:theToolbar];
when the keyboard reaches the bottom of the screen? You can use keyboard notifications for this.
I'm working with the mobile graphic framework LWUIT (V. 1.2) to develop an application for Nokia N97.
Results are striking and elegant but I have a problem: when I rotate mobile screen, menu bar doesn't switch from bottom to the right of screen. Commands remain on the bottom while correspondent mobile buttons are now on the right...
Is there an event that I can intercept when the user open or rotate mobile screen? Or I have to extend some library class to make this behaviour automatic? Or anithing else?
Anyone of you can describe a solution?
Thanks in advance
I didn't use LWUIT much, but you can insert following parameter to jad:
Nokia-MIDlet-App-Orientation: portrait
This should disable auto-rotating on Nokia S60 5th.
If you want to catch an event when the screen rotates, you can check canvas.getWidth() and canvas.getHeight(). If device's screen is not square, its width and height should change.
