I bought the domain from GoDaddy and hosting from Hostgator. I am using that domain as the add-on domain in the Hostgator. I have updated the nameserver of HostGator in GoDaddy 30 hours before. It got propagated. But on some devices, it is showing the website content in Hostgator, but on other devices, it shows the GoDaddy page. I do not know what is the issue. i have cleared the cache, restarted the device, did everything but nothing solved the issue
sorry to say that i do not know what is mean by SOA serial number.If you give the right link i will learn that. My problem got solved by the following way. when i ping the website, i did not get the IP address of my hosting. Then i flushed the DNS through cmd. Then the website loaded. Thanks for the reply.
Could anyone say what is the IP address that i got before the flush. Is that belongs to domain registrars (GoDaddy)?
I got a new server from 10gbps.io and setup the dns/hostname accordingly but when I check my domain federalwardogs.com with whatsmydns.net I get errors and some users cant access the site or see the site.
I'm currently using ns3.tbuilds.org and ns4.tbuilds.org but I still can't figure out what am I doing wrong.
It's been over 5 days and still nothing :/
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Fixed it by adding an A record in my domain # and the servers IP address 👍🏼
I've created a new website on m6.net hosting using fasthosts in the UK. When I try and load the website from my laptop I get a fasthosts landing page.
If I access the website from another machine it seems to work fine - http://www.validdomainauctions.com.
This would suggest it's not an issue with hosting, but I'm not sure why the domain redirects to a page on domain-holding.co.uk which states the following:
This "website holding" page is displayed when you visit
validdomainauctions.com because the owner has registered the domain
name (or set up a sub-domain), but has not yet created a website.
Without this page, website visitors would see a "Page not found"
error. The holding page confirms that the domain's DNS has been set up
correctly.
I've tried loading the website with Chrome, IE, and Mozilla, and the issue is the same with all of them, so it can't be the browser. I've tried clearing cache etc and that hasn't resolved anything.
I've called ipconfig /flushdns which hasn't helped either.
After a week of being utterly baffled it would seem the issue has rectified itself. Happy days.
Our Site, www.bulletnewsdeals.com, results in "Server Not Found", Ping is failing saying host not found. The site worked up until last night and nothing was changed. There is a screen shot of the dns settings attached. Any help would be apprciated....
Have you contacted whoever hosts the site for you? You've obviously got net access to post your query so it looks like the problem is at their end.
