SSAS Tabular Model converts numerical values to text in Excel - excel

I am a newbie and I am trying to analyse SSAS tabular model data in Excel. But each time click the analyse in Excel button the data gets loaded into Excel but converts all numerical values into text and becomes impossible to create a pivot table. Is there any way around this?
I want my numerical values to remain numerical and not converted to text
I have tried using text to columns
I have tried multiplying the values by 1
I have tried so many other options but none of them worked
All suggestions are welcome
Thanks

How to convert nested group in Excel from SAP report painter export into tabular form?

SAP report painter exports a n-dimensional table in excel as a nested group format (columns A:B). I need to get this onto tabular form (columns D:I) as a summarized table. Ideally I would get a direct data feed onto a summarized table, but that solution is quite far ahead.
Attached photo is a modified snippet for illustration purposes.
I have written a loop in VBA which does it using a variant approach. For approximately 15.000 rows, this takes around 40 seconds for 7 dimensions. I am wondering if any built-in excel functions could do that more efficiently?

re-arrange my input table in excel using VPA to get the the required output format

I have an excel with data listed in one format, but I need it to be arranged in different format to be able to load it in another software.
I have two tables the first one is input data and the second is output.
The data in there is just a sample of my full data set.
the missing value of -9999 will be added into my output when DHGP_UPPER and / or when DHGT_UPPER not available
your help is appreciated, as I am planning to learn excel macros :-)

Importing TimeStamp columns from excel to SQL DEVELOPER

As it often happens there is a lot of questions similar to this one, but none of the ones I found gives me an answer to the issue I am having.
I am trying to import columns with Timestamp from Excel to SQL DEVELOPER. In the Picture 1 you can see formatting of the dates in excel. Format RRRR-MM-DD GG:MM:SS is Polish equivalent of English YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.
Picture 2 shows my NLS settings in SQL Developer and Picture 3 shows what i am getting while trying to transfer the data from excel. It looks like SQL somehow reads the format of the date on its own way? Or maybe excel stores the data in other way than its displayed while opening the workbook? Any ideas how to correct this?
Presentation of my data arrangements
As I figured out what was the issue and I think it might be useful information for other users I will present the solution.
What helped me, was formatting the timestamp in Excel column as a text. Meaning it could not be neither number formatted as timestamp, nor a result of TEXT FUNCTION. It had to be a plain text. In attached screen you can se what I tried to do and the results in SQL DEVELOPER.
To make values in C column I copied and pasted as values Column B - it pastes those as a text and not as a numbers.
Presentation of the solution
Hope this will help someone in the future.

Form for displaying and printing from Excel sheet

Is there a simple way to design a form for displaying (and printing on A4) data from an Excel sheet?
Lets say there are 200 rows in the Excel with 4 columns. I would like to make each row more readable by rearranging it like this on A4 paper (see attached diagram), instead of just printing in tabular form straight from Excel.
Can that be done without programming, but only field mapping from a form to Excel sheet?
Data entry not required. View and print only.
A4 printed output should look like this
I think you are out of luck with Excel unless you can write a VBA macro to rearrange the table data.
One option is to use a Reporting tool e.g. you can link/import the Excel data into Access and build a Report, which will allow you freedom to show each record as you like.
You could do a mail merge into Word, as if you're printing labels on a form. It's the same idea, just different data.
There are many examples online, no coding necessary.
Here's one from Microsoft, with plenty of links within in:

Export and customize a crystal report in excel

I am having an issue is that while exporting a report to excel sheet, there are lots of spaces and empty cells between the data, as well as, the cells are merged.
Is there is a way to export the report and each field will be in a cell or to control that exportation, suppose my report looks like this:
No Trans_No
1 123
2 333
In my excel sheet, I would like
A B
No Trans_No
1 123
2 333
, But currently it is showing a merging of the cells and spaces , so instead of Trans_No will be in CELL B, it is in D.
So, is there is a way to control o export that?
mohs, welcome to StackOverflow.
Crystal Reports and Excel have very different methods and data structures. When exporting a .rpt into .xls format, Crystal has to make many compromises and judgement calls. Here are some suggestions:
Do you absolutely need to use Crystal in this process?
A. You can import data directly from your data source into Excel (without using Crystal) using Data->Import External Data.
B. You can export from Crystal into CSV format. If the Excel file is being made just for a machine to read it, CSV is a better option.
Keep your Crystal Report very simple.
A. After you drag & drop fields onto your design, do not resize or overlap them.
B. Make sure in your options, you have snap to grid checked.
C. Are your fields horizontally aligned? If not, they will probably be put on different rows.
D. If you are grouping data, you may want to suppress the group headers & footers.
If you are finding empty rows between your data, you can filter these out in Excel:
Select column
Data > Filter (Excel 2010)
Dropdown > uncheck 'Blanks'
I don't use Crystal Reports, but could you export to a CSV file, then import into Excel. The import will allow you to specify the delimiters and should format your data better.
From experience with exporting from older versions of Crystal to Excel, a couple of options:
(1) Export to CSV and open the CSV file in Excel.
This had the disadvantage that instead of appearing at the top of the report above the data values, the column headings would appear on every line of the output before the column values - like so:
No Trans_No 1 123
No Trans_No 2 333
This issue may have been resolved in CR XI - if not, the workround we used for this was to suppress column headings (so that only the values were included in the output), then copy and paste a standard spreadsheet heading for the report into the output in Excel.
(2) Consistently format all fields to the same, minimum size (typically, two grid widths), with columns aligned by snapping the left edge of fields to guidelines.
This produces output which is almost unreadable in the standard report viewer, but which should align correctly in Excel.
