my requirement is getting searchdataArray variable out side the poo.query function.
So I am making a kind of API middleware for my company that will grab information from the NOAA API and then store in in my database. It does more then but that a separate part. I have set it up so that it works it will get the information and store it in my sql database perfectly The issue is the information I get is based off of zipcode. One request is the information for one zipcode. I need to be able to 'loop" through a list of zipcode one at a time and store the information in the database. I am not sure how to properly get it to work. I have tested a couple of ways but have not been able to get it to work so if someone can get me pointed in the right direction it would be appreciated.

There are some options for you. I would recommend wrapping call to the NOAA API with a promise and then chain those promises. This can be done as follows:

An alternative is to use something like the async library for dealing with sequentially calling callbacks. The async library (https://github.com/caolan/async) describes itself as:

I have written Lambda function using JavaScript, which responses to my voice and turns on the LED on my Raspberry.
But I have a problem with publishing its state to my thing topic. While Alexa responses correct ("Turning on" if Im asking to turn it on and "Turning off" if asking to off), my topic doesn't always get the state changes. Some times it gets data and sometime it doesn't and after few more invocations it gets data in bulk, and I cant even get the logic of creating a sequence of data in that bulk.

Async methods like iotData.publish cause problems into AWS Lambda, because you request a execution and the lambda function ends soon without waiting for the response and processing the request.
Another problem could be your permissions.

I Need Help implementing Redis to save Bot State. I'm working in a project that is really a requirement that we reduce as much latency as possibe. Right know we are using DocumentDB but since Redis works with memory this could be faster.
I've followed the tutorial using mongo DB, Microsoft Bot framework MongoDB as middle layer to store conversational states, data and context and I'm editing the file /lib/IStorageClient.js to connect, save and retrieve from redis.

Actual Results
I could see the json saving to Redis, also I could print the retrieve result in the console, but the thing is that the answer is not being received in the bot emulator.

I've used external variables uupr and cupr to store data from first .then calls.
So I have two problems:
1) Avoid using external variables.
2) rearrange code to get alternative flow diagram.
