Chrome extension replaces letters, but breaks certain pages - google-chrome-extension

I used the following TreeWalker as a template from this post https://stackoverflow.com/a/37178130/7102491 and modified it to skip the element 'script', to prevent certain pages like a google search from breaking to no avail. Does anyone know how I can change the code to prevent breaking certain pages? Thanks.

Your problem is that listbox1.selection in line 34
if ((app.project.item(s) instanceof CompItem) && (app.project.item(s).name.match(listbox1.selection))) {
is an array, and you're trying to match it to a string returned by app.project.item(s).name which is never going to match.
Also, what are you trying to achieve with the lines

break;
Here's the onClick function, but it works. It loops through the selection, and looks for a matching project item, based on the text of the listbox matching the comp's name. This is dangerous, because identical comp names would create false positives. I strongly suggest you don't use this technique in production code, because it will definitely cause problems for your users.
Also I'd turn the part wherre you populate the list into a separate function, and call it after you click delete, so that the list is refreshed, because at the moment the list stays the same, even after the comp is deleted.

Update link to heading in google docs

In google docs one can easily add headings and link to them from inside of the document. But when the heading text changes, the link text does not change.
Is there a way to change that behavior or update the link text automatically?
I know it is about 1 1/2 years, but maybe this will help. I have had the exact same problem and wrote a function that will update all the links to the headings in a document. Since I could not find any built-in functions or add-ons, the only way was to script it.
Some things to consider:
This needs a current table of contents to work. If you don't have (or do not want) a TOC, you can insert one, run that function and delete it afterwards. Also, I have only tested it with a TOC that contains page numbers.
It will update ALL texts of links to headings in the document. However, links to everything else remain untouched.
Please use at your own risk (maybe try it out in a copy of your document). I have tested it, but the testing could have been more thorough. Also, this is my first in scripting Docs.
Paste this in the Script editor of your doc and run replaceHeadingLinks. Links that the script could not update (because they link to a heading that does not exist anymore) will be output in the console.

Loop is not working in node.js

Here I have albums, and I am populating images of album
So album variable contains all the albums and inside them their images will also be there in a array
I want to add a extra field (userLike) in each images.
Problem here is all the time the value of the i is 3 (that is the number of images in a album (album_images.length) - for the time being I have only one album)
I think the problem could be because the callback of Like.findOne calls only when all the loops has finished executing (just a guess).
How can I make it work so that I will get all the loop values in console.log(i) ?

Just a tip: instead of performing a findOne for each image, you may consider using $in.
Alternatively you could define a function in order to have a scope where the variable doesn't change.

How can I create a new document out of a subset of another document's pages (in InDesign (CS6) using ExtendScript)?

I need to offer a feature which allows InDesign users to select a page range in an InDesign document and create a new document out of those pages. This sounds simple, but it isn't...
I have tried many different ways of doing this but they have all failed to some degree. Some methods put all pages in a single spread (which sometimes makes InDesign crash). The best I've been able to do (see code below) still has problems at the beginning and the end (see screenshots below):

The question: How can I create a new document out of a subset of another document's pages (in InDesign using ExtendScript) without having the problems shown in the screenshots?
note: The behavior of the script is quite different in CS5.5 and CS6. My question concerns CS6.

I was hacking around and came up with this little script. Although it approaches the problem from the opposite direction, it seems to work fine here. Also, I'm still running in InDesign CS5, but maybe it will work for you. Hopefully I got the gist of your question?

Opening tabs in Chrome news reader extension

I'm trying to create a simple chrome extension using the following google RSS reader sample,

I can add links in the pop-up window that open tabs, but not from the feeds themselves.
Looping through the items in the feed, grabbing title tags and link tags, I want the title to link the the appropriate sites

Any thoughts on why this is not working.
If I replace title.addEventListener("click", titleLink); with title.addEventListener("click", moreStories); each title will link to moreStories, I cannot get each title to link to itemLink.

Its a bit hard to answer your question without the whole code, but Ill give it a shot ;)
First up, titleLink() isnt going to work because itemLink isnt known. When you create title (the link) you should of attached it to that...say title.href=itemLink then in tiltleLinks you could access that href with showUrl(event.currentTarget.href)
Also did you fix the error in that example?...if not then change frameLoaded to....
