get api to fetch the data of US universities - node.js

I want to get some API or database for fetching the data of US universities along with the SAT/ACT scores and minimum score of GRE and TOEFL for each university program. I have also looked up for the same on this site and also googled it, i found some database and APIs but none of them is complete. I found the API at nearbycollege website which gives data of SAT/ACT of 2885 schools but I could not find the GRE/TOEFL/GMAT/IELTS exams minimum scores for the same. Kindly help me find that.
Thanks in Advance

Understanding document types in MAG and MSA Data dump

I am currently using Microsoft Academic's datadump for a project and unable to identify the total number of theses & dissertations(T&D) present. Based on their website, 38% of data is categorised to OTHERS type (one among them is T&D). But their 60+GB CSV dump doesn't explicitly indicate the T&D records. Can someone help me with the statistics for T&D or how find the same?
I tried their API too and unable to find using their API too.
The Microsoft Academic Graph does not explicitly segment publication sub-types by thesis or dissertations, which means that neither the API or website will either.
If this is something you'd like to see added, please let them know by using the "Feedback" link in the lower-right corner on the Microsoft Academic website.

how to get the comments on social media and make it as your data?

I've proposed a title for our thesis, Movie Success Prediction through Social Media comments using Sentiment Analysis, is there a way you can get the comments on social media (twitter, Instagram, Facebook etc.) and use it for your software? like an API or any other way. is that even possible to use your software on different social media to get the comments for prediction or should i change my title and stick to one social media like Facebook or twitter only?
what's the good algorithm for this?
what programming language and framework/IDE should i use?
I've done lots of research on google and still hoping for more info here. Thank you.
Edit: I'll only use YouTube and YouTube API.
From the title of your question, it seems that the method you need to use is distant supervision. You need to retrieve data with labels you think it is proper for your task. For instance, a tweet containing #perfect hashtag would probably be a positive tweet. So, you can define set of hashtags for your task, negative, positive or even for neutral; then you can retrieve tweets by those via Twitter API. For your task, those should be for movies, therefore your data should contain movie related information in first place.
Given that you will deal with text data and you'd like to create your own dataset, it is better to start with Twitter. Its API works for your needs and it is very well-documented. The language and frameworks are upto your choice, since APIs supports many known languages as well. Personally, I'd start with python or java to quickly solve future problems easier with community support.
For a general survey of this area, you may dive into papers and resources from here:
https://scholar.google.com.tr/scholar?hl=en&q=distant+supervision+sentiment+analysis
Distant supervision could be used to create a sentiment lexicon out of millions English tweets by using sets of negative and positive hashtags as well. You may take a look at Chapter 5 of this thesis ( https://spectrum.library.concordia.ca/980377/1/Ozdemir_MCompSc_F2015.pdf ), this may also give a good insight for your thesis, too.
Hope this helps.

FourSquare vs. Google Places vs. Yelp API

I am trying to create an app that will help users find restaurants/movie theaters/malls/etc. to hang out based on ratings and distance. Other than just the place itself, I would also like to know more detailed information about the place. For example, if I were to look for parks, I would also like to know if theres a basketball or tennis court there. Ratings and popularity would also be an important aspect to prioritize suggestions.
After looking through all three of the APIs, I could not really find any substantial differences other than their search limits. Could anyone really differentiate each API for me? Maybe even recommend one based on my specific need?
Thanks!
The Foursquare API would fit this use case perfectly because you can supply very specific filters through the API. Also, they have extensive coverage around the world, unlike Google or Yelp.
I would check out the venues/explore endpoint and use a categoryId of Parks. You can use a query parameter of "basketball" or "tennis" to find parks that have courts for these.

Azure ML Recommendations

I want to use Azure ML to find related products using information from receipts from a store.
I got a file of reciepts:
44366,136778
79619,88975
78861,78864
53395,78129,78786,79295,79353,79406,79408,79417,85829,136712
32340,33973
31897,32905
32476,32697,33202,33344,33879,34237,34422,48175,55486,55490,55498

32476,32697,33202,33344,33879,34237,34422,48175,55490,55497,55498,55503
47098
136974
85832
Each row represent one receipt and each number is a product id.
Given a product id I want to get a list of similar products, i.e. products that was bought together by other customers.
Can anyone point me in the right direction of how do to this?
This seems a good fit for their frequently bought together service (https://datamarket.azure.com/dataset/amla/mba). You may have to preprocess the dataset to get it in the required format. This service has a web UI as well: https://marketbasket.cloudapp.net/
This is a typical problem for Recommender, you can use a model called Machbox recommender to cover such a problem.
Recommender typically use Scoring about items to propose and the use some tricky calculation to predict scores for items users had not scored yet ( a score would be typically 1 user bought the item, 0 he did not)
If you need more details let me know ..(you have access to a free version of Azure ML where you can try all this)

Adwords API BulkMutateJobService Fetch Global Monthly Search Volume For Multiple Keywords

I've just gotten into the Adwords API for an upcoming project and I need something quite simple actually, but I want to go about it the most efficient way.
I need code to retrieve the Global Monthly Search Volume for multiple keywords (in the millions). After reading about BulkMutateJobService, in the Google documentation they say
If you want to perform a very large number of operations (up to 500,000) on your AdWords campaigns and child objects, use BulkMutateJobService
But later on in the page they give limits of
No more than 25 OperationStream objects are allowed.
No more than 10,000 operations are allowed per BulkMutateRequest.
No more than 100 request parts are allowed.
as well as a few others. See source here http://code.google.com/apis/adwords/docs/bulkjobs.html
Now, my questions:
What do these numbers mean? If I have 1 million words I need information on, do I only need to perform 2 requests with 500K words each?
Also, are there examples of code that does this task?
I only need Global Monthly Search Volume and CPC for each keyword. I've searched online, but to no avail have I found any good example or anything leaning in that direction that utilizes BulkMutateJobService.
Any links, resources, code, advice you can offer? All is appreciated.
The BulkMutateJobService only allows for mutates, or changes, to the account. It does not provide the bulk retrieval of information.
You can fetch monthly search volume for keywords using the TargetingIdeaService. If you use it in STATS mode you can include up to 2500 keywords per request.
Estimates CPC values are obtained from the TrafficEstimatorService. You can request up to 500 keywords per request.
FYI, there is an official AdWords API Forum that you can ask questions on.
