error launching studio when run an apk on android studio

i'm quite new to the android world and have recently encountered an issue. While trying to launch an apk i found online, i stumble across an error message i do not fully understand. it mentions that i'm running a 32 bit executable. I have already checked that the JDK installed is 64 bit and that i have studio 64 installed and not studio. Also, i'm pretty sure i have set the environment variables correctly. So if any of you guys could answer my query, it'd be great thank you !
Probably your Android Studio is not x86_64? Try to download and install the 64 bit (android-studio-ide-173.4819257-windows.exe) from https://developer.android.com/studio/#downloads , instead of 32-bit version.

how to configure enterprise library 6 in visual studio 2017 / windows 10

I have a project I created back in VS 2015 with enterprise library for logging. Now with VS 2017 I cannot install any plugin for EL6 any more, also I downloaded the EL binaries but whenever I try to start the 32 or 64 bit EntLibConfig executable, the stop working right at the splash screen.
I tried a reboot, run as admin and compatibility mode.
Is that just me or is there a general problem?
Should I switch to another logging library?
My VS just updated to VS 2017.3.1 and I run on Windows 10 1703 x64.
Sadly, I didn't find anything about EL and vs 2017 which made me quite confused.
Thanks
As a result of the uncertainty about the future of EL, I switched to serilog.

I started following Bucky's tutorials on android development. I installed the jdk, make a JAVA_HOME environment variable pointing to the jdk. I installed android studio, as well as the required packages and this is what's coming up:
"C:\Users\Vince\AppData\Local\Android\sdk\tools\emulator.exe" -netdelay none -setspeed full -avd Nexus_5_API_21_x86

I am running a 64 bit windows 8 operating system. If anymore information is required from me, please comment as I have no clue how to solve this. I thought it may be space on my hard drive, but I have almost 361 gigabytes left.
The emulator does run but it stays at saying android. I left it running all night just in case it took a while but when I woke up, it was the same screen.
Assuming you have downloaded HAXM using AVD Manager or manually from any website.
While installing intelhaxm_android.exe(C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Android\sdk\extras\intel\Hardware_Accelerated_Execution_Manager)
put the RAM space allocation to default which may be 2GB.
I was facing the same problem but it worked after re-installing with 2GB RAM space instead of 1GB which I initially selected.
For complete guidance you can refer to:

HAXM is not installed yet - follow this tutorial Haxm Installation

build 32 and 64 bit builds in Installshield

I need to build a setup.exe for a 64 bit machine in Installshield installscript project.
I am trying to do this in Installshield 2013
Is this possible?
If you are building an MSI file you can't do this:

Trouble launching Samsung SDK TV Emulator

For some reason, my Samsung TV emulator versions 2.5.1 (2011) and version 3.5.2 (2012) work fine except for version 4.0 (2013). When I open it, it says
Emulator for Windows has stopped working. A program caused the program to stop working...
I installed the following on my machine and still doesnt seem to work:
Visual C++ Redistributable 2005 x86 and x64
Visual C++ Redistributable 2010 x86 and x64
Microsoft .NET 4.5 Latest
Java JDK (including JRE)
Latest Direct X from

Any ideas why it shows this message? Thanks. I am on Windows 7 64 bit.
You may need to install fonts for Emulator. Open C:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung\Samsung TV SDK 4\Emulator\Emulator2013_v4\bin\, open *.ttf files and select Install.
