search the node using keyword in drupal - search

I have created a text box with button to search the node which has the key word given in text box.
Is there any possible to search the node in drupal 7 with custom search button and textbox which is in tpl file

Yes you can, I'd recommend using views exposed filter inside a block.

Sublime Text plugin development: modifying the Quick Panel to add a custom text title or label?

I'm developing a Sublime Text 3 plugin which uses the quick panel a.k.a. the command palette.
I would like to add a textual title/label at the top of the quick panel when the user opens my plugin's quick panel menu, because my plugin runs in various modes and I want to make it clear which mode is currently running (Test, Pre-Live, Live, etc.)
Is this possible, and how?
This a mockup of what I want to achieve:
This is not possible in a quick panel, no. The only thing you can provide to the quick panel display-wise is the list of items that you want the user to choose from. Each item in the list can contain multiple lines of data however (with the restriction that every row has to contain the same number of lines):
Something like that could potentially be used to provide context on the items in the list that allows the user to know what mode you're in.
The Command Palette and the quick panel aren't the same thing (although they are visually similar); the command palette only displays commands that you can choose. By using an input handler, you can customize the display somewhat:
In this sample, View Package File is the selected command, but the command has control over what that text says (it's just the command name by default). You also have the power to provide a "preview" (basically any extra information that you want) about the currently selected item:
So given that, depending on your use case your command could present its interface in the command palette to give this kind of contextual clue.

Roku SceneGraph with Search Functionality

I'm creating a Roku app in SceneGraph and trying to near duplicate the search functionality I had using the old SDK. I'm stuck at only being able to display the mini keyboard. I'm trying to add buttons via buttongroup (i.e., Search, Cancel) but having two issues:
Not sure how to get the text string that's typed into the mini keyboard and store that in a variable or field so I can perform the search on it.
How to create a Search button and give it focus when user is ready to search for the string they entered.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
SGDEX (Scenegraph Developer Extensions) is what you need. They have a view called "SearchView". Look it up.
Also...
RALE (Roku Advanced Layout Editor) has good search options. - I have been unable to find a decent Search sample. It would be cool if we could export the source code from RALE.
However if you haven't tried RALE. You could upload your script, then add search to it.

Modx rich text input field for template variable

I'm new to modx Rev and I am trying to set the input field for a template variable so that it uses my chosen richtext editor. If I set the input field as rich text I just get a 1 line text field. If I set the editor as Textarea then thats all I get a text area field - there is no option in the drop down under input options for "html" as some tutorials suggest. Have I not enabled something? I am a bit lost being new to the app.
I had the same problem. My solution
Go to Package Management and search for TinyMCE.
Download it. Then click Install.
Set the Input for my Template Variable to RichText
Click on Resource then Template Variables and now I see the TinyMCE editor
Which rich text editor have you installed?
Is Rich Text enabled for the resource you are editing, if not then I think a different editor will be used.
Try downloading TinyMCE instead through package management, and use that one instead. Might wanna uninstall ACE to make sure it doesn't interfere somewhere.

Button-Triggered Insert File Only Works If Portal Contains Edit Box for Container Field

I'm working with a FileMaker Pro 11 database that contains a portal. I've added an "attach file" button to the portal which triggers a simple "Insert File[portal_table::attachment_field]" script. When I click on the button, I would expect an insert file dialog box to appear. Instead, nothing happens.
If I add a text box to the portal, setting the text box's field to portal_table::attachment_field, the attach button starts working.
Why am I required to add this text box to the portal in order for my button-triggered script to work? Is there a way I can modify my script so that it works without requiring the text box's presence?
Thank you,
Ben
Generally speaking FileMaker's "Insert..." commands behave as if a user has done an action manually (activating script triggers, selecting the field, etc.) including the requirement that the field actually be displayed on the screen.
Unfortunately, as far as I am aware, there is not a way to use "Set Field" to specify a file to be added to a container field. One possible work-around is the following:
Freeze Window
Set Variable [$RecordIndex to RelatedTable::Index]
Go to Layout [A Layout of RelatedTable specifically for inserting files]
Enter Find Mode
Set Field [Index to $RecordIndex]
Perform Find
Insert File
Go to Layout [Original Layout]
Alternately, it may be easier to just include the field on the layout at a very small size (1 pixel x 1 pixel).

How to search a PDF in Acrobat Reader AND jump to a certain page via parameter?

We are using lucene within a web application to search in a great number of PDF documents.
The workflow is like this:
A user enters a search term
A list of search results is presented to the user.
Each search result represents one PDF document and shows the user on which page the search term was found. Each of these pages is represented as a hyperlink.
If the user now clicks on such a hyperlink, he directly jumps to that page.
But now the user has the problem that the search term isn't highlighted on the page. Therefore the user has to look on his own to find the search term on the page.
What we wanted is a way to highlight the search term on the specific page in the PDF.
The open parameters for Acrobat Reader allow for either searching a PDF document (with hit highlighting) OR jumping to a specific page. But the combination of both parameters - which we would need - doesn't work.
Does anyone have an idea how jumping to a page and highlighting a search term in a PDF document could work?
I had a look at the Acrobat SDK but don't see how we can use it (it's terribly documented).
acrobat uses a plugin to hilite terms, and requires a fdf stream to indicate the words to hilite.
See here for pointers:
support.dtsearch.com/dts0152.htm
update:
assuming you know the page# and word# on the page to hilight, here is one way to do it:
On web page:
<iframe id="acroframe" src="pdfpage/example.pdf#xml=http://example.com/hilite.aspx?hilite=8e3302ee-ff88-41ee-bdfb-9e8df87cc3ad&toolbar=1&navpanes=0&statusbar=0&view=FitH">
</iframe>
The PDF will appear in the frame, it will show the toolbar, hide the navpane & status bars and fit page to horizontal. Then it will query the web site to get the xfdf data for hilighting: http://example.com/hilite.aspx?hilite=8e3302ee-ff88-41ee-bdfb-9e8df87cc3ad
Here I used a guid key that I previously saved in the session with the hilite xfdf value.
The hilite.aspx page will return something like the following to hilite words in the document:
<XML>
<Body units=characters color=#ff00ff mode=active version=2>
<Highlight>
<loc pg=15 pos=3583 len=5>
</Highlight>
</Body>
</XML>
This will hilight 5 chars on page 15 starting at position 3583. (note: xfdf is not real "XML" despite the similarity)
Note that acrobat reader will have to have the "Enable search highlights from external highlight server" option checked in preferences.
Sorry might not be an answer, but a workaround could be to covert the PDF to html and use Lucene highlighter (similar to what Google does)
You'd have to write a snippet of Javascript to get the behavior you are looking for.
