How to connect to ClamAV daemon? - linux

I'm trying to connect to ClamAV daemon clamd on localhost 3310 port via telnet comand in terminal:telnet 127.0.0.1 3310
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to 127.0.0.1.
Escape character is '^]'.
nIDSESSION [pressed ENTER button on keyboard]
nPING [pressed ENTER]
But it gives error:
1: Only nCMDS\n and zCMDS\0 are accepted inside IDSESSION. ERROR
1: Error processing command. ERROR
Connection closed by foreign host.
Entered zPING\0 [pressed ENTER] or nPING\n useless, prompts that error again.
Can you suggest anything?

Remote access to OpenShift Local (CRC) running on Win11

I've got CRC running on Windows 11 and I would like to connect there from a RHEL9 VM.
CRC listening on 127.0.0.1:6443
Port forwarding rule created on Win machine to fwd connections on 192.168.1.156 (local intf) to 127.0.0.1:
$ netsh interface portproxy show v4tov4
Listen on ipv4: Connect to ipv4:
Address Port Address Port
192.168.1.156 9000 127.0.0.1 6443
Added rule in firewall to allow connections to port 9000
From the VM:
[test#workstation ~]$ telnet 192.168.1.156 9000
Trying 192.168.1.156...
Connected to 192.168.1.156.
Escape character is '^]'.
Connection closed by foreign host.
[test#workstation ~]$ oc login -u developer -p developer https://192.168.1.156:9000
The server is using a certificate that does not match its hostname: x509: certificate is valid for 10.217.4.1, not 192.168.1.156
You can bypass the certificate check, but any data you send to the server could be intercepted by others.
Use insecure connections? (y/n): y
Error from server (InternalError): Internal error occurred: unexpected response: 412
Any idea on how I can fix this and be able to connect from my VM towards CRC?
thanks

server closed the connection unexpectedly python

server closed the connection unexpectedly
This probably means the server terminated abnormally
before or while processing the request.
and when I run with docker exec ...
psql: error: could not connect to server: could not translate
host name "potgres" to address: No address associated with hostname
my port seems like that :
0.0.0.0:5431->5431/tcp, 5432/tcp
even when I change port number in file.yml , there is nothing happen!
Are you sure you spelled your hostname correctly?
psql: error: could not connect to server: could not translate
host name "potgres" to address: No address associated with hostname
It looks like you misspelled postgres as potgres.

Connecting to cqlsh from remote fails, where as from localhost it connects?

Installed DSE on CentOS7 and saw no errors, I'm able to connect to cqlsh from the local machine and and I'm able to also do a telnet on the port.
However the problem is that when the same is done from a remote machine I get the below error
cqlsh XX.XXX.XX.XX 3389
Connection error: ('Unable to connect to any servers', {'10.223.61.49': ConnectionShutdown('Connection to 10.223.61.49 was closed',)})
To check the connectivity I did a telnet on this and see the below error
telnet XX.XXX.XX.XX 3389
Invalid or unsupported protocol version (13); supported versions are (3/v3, 4/v4, 5/v5-beta, 65/dse-v1)
I tried updating the Python version, also few tweaks to change the py script also didn't help

spark running at the port 249

sbin$ start-all.sh
I input this command then I got the below message.
I use port 249 not 22.
Port 22 is prohibited.
I'm connecting to the server using putty.
How can I fix this problem?
org.apache.spark.deploy.master.Master running as process 6211. Stop it first.
localhost: ssh: connect to host localhost port 22: Connection refused
I have the same problem and have solved it.
Follow these steps maybe can solve your problem :
vi conf/spark-env.sh
add these export SPARK_SSH_OPTS="-p 249"
rerun start-all.sh

mongodb connect fail in osx

I'm newer to mongode, I use shell to start mongodb service but failed and get following error. What should I do?
mongod log

mongo log

connect#src/mongo/shell/mongo.js:237:13

exception: connect failed
Try this. Open terminal, and at the prompt type:
sudo chown -R `id -un` /data/db
Exactly as written. This will give you write access to the /data/db directory which is what Mongo is complaining about. It should prompt you for your password. Once it does enter it and hit enter. After that, kill mongod, if running, and restart.
Make sure the MongoDB server (mongod) is listening on the right interface.
Listening on 127.0.0.1 (loopback interface) will only work locally. If you want to handle remote requests you will have to listen on a network interface that can be accessed remotely. Listening on 0.0.0.0 will listen on all network interfaces.
Step 1: Please check whether you have C:\data\db. If you dont have it create it manually.
Step 2: in command line go to directory of mongodb such as c:\Program files\Mongodb\server\3.4\bin and type *mongod
Step 3: type Mongo
Hopefully its gonna work out for you.
