I am unable to edit the sharepoint 2013 documents in the browser or the application. This is occurring in all the sites under the farm.
Browser:
It opens perfectly but is non editable
Application:
It opens in Read-only mode. Asks me to save a local copy to edit and it saves locally.
I have tried the following solutions and still it doesn't work:
Changed excel setting
I do not have KB3055034 update
Deactivated "Open Documents in Client Applications by Default" to open documents in the Web App to edit documents in the browser by default
Thanks for your help in advance!

I have a SharePoint 2016 installation with Forms Based Authentication installed and an Office Application Server.
When some users try to open PowerPoint presentation (Office 365) in the desktop application (They don't like to edit in the online version) it fails to open saying that they PowerPoint failed to open the document.
typically they would have a pop-up asking if it's okay to open in chrome and then a popup that requires them to log in with forms-based authentication, this means that it's working.
Recently these users stopped getting any popups.
We HAVE set up the trust center to allow forms based log ins from this site.
We HAVE cleared out the cache.
I have also tried giving them a different FBA account.
Has anyone encountered anything like this before?
We are running Sharepoint 2010 and a user has a problem that whenever they click on a document within Sharepoint it opens the document twice. I have made sure that IE is opening in 32 bit mode, made sure the SharePoint OpenDocuments Class is enable and the Office Document Cache Handler is enabled, but it still happens! Any ideas or help would be much appreciated.
I have users who want to open Excel attachments from a list item but sharepoint insists that it opens using xlviewer but it never works. There is always an error that says try again in a few minutes.
I just want to allow them to download it or to open it directly with excel or the associated application.
Make sure you're the site collection admin. Go into the site (not the central admin) and then go to site settings then go to site collection features. In there you will find the setting for " Open Documents in Client Applications by Default " it will probably be deactivated. Active it and you're good to go. users will then open attachments in their windows assigned applications, not the sharepoint web apps.
Someone put a hyperlink to a document stored in SharePoint, in the All Links tab of a TFS task.
When I double click it, it opens up in a new browser tab in VS2010, then asks whether to download it ("Open/Save" dialog).
The result is that the file is downloaded and then opened as a local copy.
What I want to do is to open the document directly from the URL of the SharePoint site so editing will be done directly.
Is this possible?
Thanks!
I would asume that if you select "Open" that it would open off the sharepoint server. If this is not the case, then you would need to navigate to that document in Team Explorer or on the Sharepoint site and open it from there.
I have an isolated issue with a user who has IE 11, office 2013 and is trying to open office files stored on SharePoint 2010 document libraries.
When he clicks on the document, the office application starts but does not open the document. He has to download a copy of the document and make changes locally.
Other users can open the files fine and their client instance of the office application works no problem to open the document. This behaviour is the same for any office file on the SharePoint 2010 farm. pdf files behave normally and open in acrobat. With text files notepad doesn't even appear so slightly different but still incorrect behaviour.
I have tried adding the site to his trusted sites in IE. Using Firefox and the behaviour is the same. Repaired office, same issue. All other users are OK.
Any help appreciated as I have exhausted google.
