Vim under CMDer: How do I enable mouse support? - vim

For some reason, I can't get mouse support to work under CMDer.
It works normally under the regular CMD. I can click all I want all day. But I use CMDer as my development environment. It has temporary settings for my installation of CLang to use.
I went into the settings and enabled "Send Mouse Events to Console" but that does not appear to be doing anything. I even made sure to try
:set mouse=a
Which is on by default when ever I use the regular windows Command Prompt.

I solved this by going to: settings -> Mouse -> Mouse options: enable send mouse events to console -> save settings. Then close the cmder and open again. You should be able to navigate into a vim script using the mouse left click.

Installshield desktop shortcut icon shows windows default icon

I have inherited an installscript project which asks the user if they want a desktop shortcut. The script creates the shortcut, but Windows gives it a default icon rather than the icon specified. When you look at the properties of the shortcut, the correct icon is displayed.
I see on this page the following:
"The shortcut target must be present on the target system before AddFolderIcon can be called." And I'm wondering if that's the cause of the issue.
The installscript is creating shortcuts in the OnFirstUIBefore() function. Do we need to instead create these shortcuts in the OnFirstUIAfter() function, after the executable has been copied to the user's machine? And if so, do we need to delay that dialog which asks them if they want the shortcut, or is there a way to save those answers until we get to that function?
I don't recall seeing an install which copies files and then asks you more questions about shortcuts.
We are using Installshield 2012 Spring if that is relevant at all.
FWIW I gave up and decided to create the shortcuts using the installation designer. Now they function correctly; however the install dialogs no longer ask the user if they want the shortcuts.

gnome shell 3.16 - how to add reboot butotn

I have a problem with my gnome shell 3.16.1 (on Arch linux)
I want to add a reboot button to the drop down menu at top right corner.
when I press shutdown button - it shutdowns the computer.
(suspend button was added via extensions, but I cannot find an extension for reboot button), how do I add reboot button?
or modify shutdown button so It brings a menu where there is a reboot option?
p.s. When I logged out, shutdown button bring a menu where I can choose to reboot or shutdown a computer. But I guess it because it is a gdm.
Maybe that`s not what you want, but you can simply reboot with pressing top-right corner, shut-down button and restart button. Or simply type reboot in your terminal.
P.S. There is no need in extension for suspending, 'cause all you need is to go to gnome settings and configure suspend on power button as so:

Eclipse Window Activates (and moves window to active linux workspace) when Debugger Breakpoint Hit

When running and debugging server side code with Eclipse, and you activate a breakpoint being hit by visiting a url, posting data, etc. Eclipse window will automatically activate over top of your current window.
Not only that, but if your focus is in another workspace, Eclipse gets moved to that workspace as well.
Preferences
Run / Debug
Uncheck Activate workbench when a breakpoint is hit

Visual Studio 2012 doesn't open command prompt window after I run the code

I have one problem with Visual Studio 2012 which is when I run the code the command prompt window doesnt open. I think everything is ok with the code that when I debug and run it, appears a light blue bar below saying "Ready" after I debug and run the code but the command window doesnt open. What I should do for the command window to appear?
I encountered a problem where the command window stopped opening while I was debugging. (I had accidentally closed it out with the "X" previously.) Checking the MSDN help page gave me the following:
The Command window is used to execute commands or aliases directly in the Visual Studio integrated development environment (IDE). You can execute both menu commands and commands that do not appear on any menu. To display the Command window, choose Other Windows from the View menu, and select Command Window.
It sounds like your project is not a Console Application. Double check!

Disable file preview in VS2012

In VS2012 when you select a file in solution explorer it automatically opens file in a special "preview" tab.
Maybe my computer is not fast enough, but this preview is too slow for my taste.
How do I disable this feature?
In Tools > Options > Environment > Tabs and Windows, you can disable it by unckecking "Solution explorer" under Preview tab.
I find it using the "Quick launch" new feature. Simply type "preview", and a link to the setting will be suggested. Great new feature of VS
You can also toggle file preview within the Solution Explorer tool-window itself:
This may have been added in the July update because I hadn't noticed it before then.
One of the buttons at the top of the solution explorer toggles whether this is enabled.
On Visual Studio 2013 I have done this by this Icon :
An even better solution IMO is to completely disable the File Preview feature (not just for Solution Explorer):
Open Tools > Options
Navigate to Environment > Tabs and Windows
Uncheck "Allow new files to be opened in the preview tab"
This also prevents things like Go To Definition (F12) from using preview tabs.
