I'm using anaconda python 3.5.2 in PyCharm using windows 10.
I'm pretty new to python and a complete noob to PyCharm!
I just want to use SSHtunnel.
I have intalled the package and it shown in the project interpreter page:
However when I try to run the code which I cut and pasted from example 1 here https://github.com/pahaz/sshtunnel:
from sshtunnel import SSHTunnelForwarder
server = SSHTunnelForwarder(
'pahaz.urfuclub.ru',
ssh_username="pahaz",
ssh_password="secret",
remote_bind_address=('127.0.0.1', 8080)
)
server.start()
print(server.local_bind_port) # show assigned local port
# work with `SECRET SERVICE` through `server.local_bind_port`.
server.stop()
I get the following error:
C:\Users\HP\Anaconda3\python.exe C:/Users/HP/PycharmProjects/SSH_Downloader/SSH_Downloader
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:/Users/HP/PycharmProjects/SSH_Downloader/SSH_Downloader", line 1, in <module>
from sshtunnel import SSHTunnelForwarder
ImportError: cannot import name 'SSHTunnelForwarder'
Process finished with exit code 1
How can I sort this out?
Just run the command below:
pip install sshtunnel
sshtunnel for python and sshtunnel Anaconda-python are different modules.
To install sshtunnel for Anaconda; you need to use the Anaconda repository. use below pip command; Hope this helps:
pip install -i https://pypi.anaconda.org/pypi/simple sshtunnel
More Description Here
I think your name of file is sshtunnel.py
i face this problem on window 10 and fix it buy this line
easy_install sshtunnel

Python noob here. I've been trying to install pygame and pandas for a few hours now. Even with Conda I did not succeed. I have Python 3.8.5 installed.
I eventually tried through the terminal with these commands:
python -m pip install pygame==2.0.0.dev6
and
python -m pip install pandas
(this was a total guess by the way, but apparently it did something)
Results were succesfull:
Requirement already satisfied: pygame==2.0.0.dev6 in /opt/miniconda3/lib/python3.8/site-packages (2.0.0.dev6)
and
Successfully installed numpy-1.19.2 pandas-1.1.2 python-dateutil-2.8.1 pytz-2020.1
But, when I try to import either modules, I still get errors. Any ideas?
import pygame
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<pyshell#1>", line 1, in <module>
import pygame
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'pygame'
import pandas
Traceback (most recent call last):

import pandas

Do I need to move the modules to the script folder or something? Or what do I even move? Thanks!
Ok.. Got it thanks to #matt.. after succesfully installing pygame, find the environment in which pygame is installed by entering 'which python'.
In my case it returned:
/opt/miniconda3/bin/python
Now I needed to make sure the VS console was pointing at the same environment, by checking which python interpreter it was using and selecting the correct one. More info:

Window10 and Python3.7.4
The lib I am trying to use is 'colorama'.
When i run the python script file (x.py) it cannot find the module in the line which is "import colorama", but when i open a cmd and enter python env then type 'import colorama', it works. Does any one know what's the reason?
'''

I don't know why this issue arise but maybe I installed VS2019. Before this, it worked fine for me.
Try to find which python your are working with using SYS module with its VERSION method in this way:
import sys
print(sys.version)
And then verify if you are using the same python version as you are using on cmd.
Another problem could be the path of your module, try to locate it with the "magical method" of your module installed, for example in this case:
import colorama
print(colorama.__file__)
And then verify if colorama is in this path: ".../Python37/lib/site-packages/colorama"
if not, download COLORAMA from here:
https://www.lfd.uci.edu/~gohlke/pythonlibs/
unzip it with 7ZIP
and all unzip files copy to : ".../Python37/lib/site-packages"
don't worry for the module version, colorama is for all python versions.
NOTE: this only works for windows version.
import os
from flask import Flask
from flask_wtf import FlaskForm
import sqlalchemy
from flask_sqlalchemy import SQLAlchemy
bsdir = os.path.abspath(os.path.dirname(__file__))
# print(bsdir)
app = Flask(__name__, template_folder = 'template')
app.config['SQLALCHEMY_DATABASE_URI'] = 'sqlite:///'+os.path.join(bsdir,'data.sqlite')
app.config['SQLALCHEMY_TRACK_MODIFICATION'] = False
db = SQLAlchemy(app)
class Puppy(db.Model):
pass

Try using this command
pip install flask-sqlalchemy --user
It worked for me
And If you are using PyCharm go to file
Select Invalidate caches and restart
Try to install it with these commands , (it worked for me):
pip install flask-sqlalchemy
pip3 install flask-sqlalchemy
Refer this site for Example
or
Refer the official guide site for installation
if it doesnt worked then try above commands with --user at the end of both commands
another solution maybe to install an IDE (if you are not using one) like PyCharm ; rather than a some simple text editors
First command installs package to python v2.x
Second one installs package to python 3.x
If you want to use 3.x to run your app ;then go to configuration and change it to python 3.x
Refer this for Getting Help / Development / Bug reporting
Try changing the name of your .py file. It may be causing a conflict with the flask-sqlalchemy package.
"D:\PYTHON\GIT_EXC\FLASK_\flask_sqlalchemy.py"
I faced same issue while instantiating airflow db by command
$airflow db init
error: ImportError: cannot import name 'SQLAlchemyAutoSchema'
Fixes:
Uninstall:
$pip uninstall marshmallow-sqlalchemy
Then upgrade it to version 0.24.0
$pip3 install marshmallow-sqlalchemy==0.24.0
My problem resolved and able to initialize airflow db.
I have recently started using Python and have installed version 3.7.3 on my Windows 10 machine running as administrator. I then ran the following command in a command prompt to install the xmpppy package
python -m pip install xmpppy
Next I created the following base.py file that uses the aforementioned xmpppy package
#!/usr/bin/env python
import xmpp
user="user"
password="pword"
server="server"
jid = xmpp.JID(user)
connection = xmpp.Client(server,debug=[])
connection.connect()
result = connection.auth(jid.getNode(), password,"LFY-client")
connection.sendInitPresence()
while connection.Process(1):
pass
Now when I run the command
python base.py
in the folder that the base.py file exists I get the following error message:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "base.py", line 3, in <module>
import xmpp
File "C:\Users\AGO109\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python37\lib\site-packages\xmpp\__init__.py", line 29, in <module>
import simplexml,protocol,debug,auth,transports,roster,dispatcher,features,browser,filetransfer,commands
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'simplexml'
In the folder C:\Users\AGO109\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python37\lib\site-packages\xmpp simplexml.py, protocol.py etc. all exist and the windows system variables contain the paths for python and packages, so what's the problem?
I'm facing same issue.
Try installing each of the packages using command like pip install simplexml and then run your code. Mine is stuck at installing transports.
Alternately,you may try switching to using sleekxmpp that comes bundled with your python installation. As sleekxmpp has latest version published in 2017 compared to that of 2006 for xmpppy, i'm planning to stick with using sleekxmpp library. If you update your code to use sleekxmpp as per the boilerplate code at https://pypi.org/project/sleekxmpp/, XMPP connections work.
So I had been working with virtualenvs a couple months ago but had to stop for a while and now I don't seem to be able to get it working again.
Here is what I did
D:\CS\Python_Projects\HomeCenter>venv\Scripts\activate
(venv) D:\CS\Python_Projects\HomeCenter>pip freeze
You are using pip version 6.0.8, however version 7.1.2 is available.
You should consider upgrading via the 'pip install --upgrade pip' command.
Flask==0.10.1
Flask-SQLAlchemy==2.0
itsdangerous==0.24
Jinja2==2.8

Werkzeug==0.10.4
(venv) D:\CS\Python_Projects\HomeCenter>server.py

Same happens if I were to run app.py, it won't find flask. I have been using PyCharm and when I check there it tells me the interpreter is pointing towards 3.4.2 virtualenv at D:\CS\Python_Projects\HomeCenter\venv
So why can't it find the modules?
Oh contents of server.py in case it's relevant
from waitress import serve
import os
from app import app
port = int(os.environ.get('PORT', 9999))
serve(app, host='0.0.0.0', port=port)
Hello I am korean student so I can't English not well. Please understand.
In my case, I have a well operated program but suddenly occured "not found" error like you after update mac os to BigSur.
but I finally found solution.
when before update I compiled by "source venv/fileName.py" but after update I compile by "python3 venv/fileName.py" then well operate
You try it too.
A couple of things could have happened here:
Use which python and which pip to check if both are from the virtual env itself.
As dirn suggested in the comments, it might be a PATH mixup. The packages were installed in the virtual environment but the script was executed from outside the environment interpreter. (Use venv\Scripts\python.exe <filename.py> instead of just filename to execute).
