I am trying to write SEO friendly URL of below URL.
www.url.com/item.php?id=_84_113_112&lang=en
I have written below code:
RewriteRule ^(.*)/(.*)/$ item.php?id=$2&lang=$1 [QSA,L]
But not working, can anyone help?
Probably extra / at the end (before $) is the problem.
Change it to like this.
RewriteRule ^(.*)/(.*)$ item.php?id=$2&lang=$1 [QSA,L]
You can use this -
RewriteRule ^([a-zA-Z0-9_-]+)/([a-zA-Z0-9_-]+)$ item.php?id=$1&lang=$2

Part of my .htaccess code is as follows:
RewriteRule ^([A-Z]+)*$ nextlevels_state.php?state=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^([A-Z]+)*/([0-9]+)$ nextlevels_state.php?state=$1&page=$2 [NC]
This basically redirects URL, example.com/XX to example.com/nextlevels_state.php?state=XX and example.com/XX/1 to example.com/nextlevels_state.php?state=XX&page=1 (internally).
Now, I would like to change the URL structure of the URL from example.com/XX to example.com/nextlevels/XX and example.com/XX/1 to example.com/nextlevels/XX/1
and I tried changing .htaccess to as follows:
RewriteRule ^nextlevels/([A-Z]+)*$ nextlevels_state.php?state=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^nextlevels/([A-Z]+)*/([0-9]+)$ nextlevels_state.php?state=$1&page=$2 [NC]
However, as the site urls are already indexed in search engines, I would like to know a way to redirect all the traffic from example.com/XX to example.com/nextlevels/XX (externally) using .htaccess .
Please guide me in this regard. Thank you community :)
Could you please try following, written and tested with shown samples only(improving your already done attempts here). Please make sure to clear your browser cache before testing your URLs.
RewriteEngine ON
##Rule for redirect to url example.com/nextlevels/XX.
RewriteRule ^([A-Z]+)$ nextlevels/$1 [R=301]
RewriteRule ^nextlevels/([A-Z]+)/?$ nextlevels_state.php?state=$1 [NC,L]
##Rule for redirect to url example.com/nextlevels/XX/1.
RewriteRule ^([A-Z]+)*/([0-9]+)$ nextlevels/$1/$2 [R=301]
RewriteRule ^nextlevels/([A-Z]+)*/([0-9]+)$ nextlevels_state.php?state=$1&page=$2 [NC,L]
It's been a while since I've been busting my head to do a htaccess rewrite.
I would like to redirect all the pages from example.com/en/XXX to example.com/en.
I'm doing either redirection loops or errors 500.
Is it possible to help me to find the right formula?
I tried RewriteRule ^en/(.+)$ /en/ L,QSA
also this RewriteRule ^/en\/.*$ http://example.com/en/$1 [R=permanent,L]
Do you also know good links to learn htaccess and rewrite?
thank you in advance for your help
You need to put a condition to stop Looping, could you please try following once, base on your shown samples only.
RewriteEngine ON
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/en/.*/?$ [NC] [L]
RewriteRule ^(en)/.*$ http://example.com/$1 [NC,L]
Merci RaVinder pour ton aide ! <3
Ok, im pretty new at this and I would really appreciate some help, thanks!
How can i rewrite this in .htaccess correctly?
So I have a query string in my url:
/?url=contact
All i want to do is remove the query string
/contact
Help? I scoured google and I'm learning the syntax right now, but the fact remains..I dont know how to do it just yet. Thanks to all
This was my solution:
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?url=$1 [L,QSA]
Try this:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php?url=$1 [L]
To a user on your site, they will see and navigate to this:
http://example.com/contact
But the real page would be something like this:
http://example.com/index.php?url=contact
This bit, [L], tells the server that this is the last line of the rewrite rule and to stop.
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} url=(.*)
RewriteRule index.html %1
(or whatever if it's not index.html, index.php, whatever)
You need to capture the query string, which is not looked at by RewriteRule normally, and use the %1 back reference, not $1 as you would in a capture in a RewriteRule
Before: https://example.com/index.php?user=robert
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^user/([^/]+)?$ index.php?user=$1 [L,QSA]
After: https://example.com/user/robert
I want to rewrite my url but i cant do proper way.
mysitename.net/index.php?title=Category:Public_Companies&pagefrom=8
To :
mysitename.net/Category:Public_Companies/8
How can i do that.
If you have other pages than Category, I recommend to use this:
RewriteRule ^Category:(.+)/(.+)$ /index.php?title=Category:$1&pagefrom=$2 [L]
Otherwise, use this:
RewriteRule ^(.+)/(.+)$ /index.php?title=$1&pagefrom=$2 [L]
I was wondering if you could advise if there is a more efficient way of writing what I have below? Could this be achieved in the 1 rule?
RewriteRule ^search/(cars|boats|plant)/([-a-zA-Z0-9]+)/type-([0-9]+)/price-([0-9]+)-([0-9]+)/?$ search.php?category=$1&location=$2&type=$3&minprice=$4&maxprice=$5 [L]
RewriteRule ^search/(cars|boats|plant)/([-a-zA-Z0-9]+)/type-([0-9]+)/?$ search.php?category=$1&location=$2&type=$3 [L]
RewriteRule ^search/(cars|boats|plant)/([-a-zA-Z0-9]+)/?$ search.php?category=$1&location=$2 [L]
RewriteRule ^search/(cars|boats|plant)/?$ search.php?category=$1 [L]
Also, I am having difficulty obtaining a friendly URL after a form is submitted. How to do this?
Perhaps you'd be better off just writing one rule to redirect from /search to search.php, and then parsing the rest of the URI there? (I.e. redirect to search.php?q=REST_OF_URI_GOES_HERE)
