I need to create docx files based on a templates.
The template should contain the place holders and I should be able to fill the the place holders from java .
Is it possible to do it , If so suggest me the good and efficient way to do it .
A little late for the original question, but if anyone else needs to dynamically create docx documents from templates, you might want to have a look at the DocxStamper Java library which I created on top of docx4j.
It allows to use the Spring Expression Language in docx templates and you can create a document out of a template with a couple lines like this:

As discussed elsewhere before, there are 3 basic approaches:
BEST: content control data binding
cheap/cheerful: Variable replacement (ie magic strings on the document surface), but brittle (the split run problem)
LEGACY: MERGEFIELD with or without other field codes.
Docx4j supports all three approaches, but we generally recommend content control databinding, since it aligns with Microsoft's direction (as best can be ascertained), and is most powerful.
You'll want to consider the technical skills of your template authors.
See https://github.com/centic9/poi-mail-merge for a simple "Variable replacement" method. It does not work if one replacement-string has multiple formats applied, but does work well for simple cases where the template is carefully crafted.
Basically it reads the template and data from CSV or an Excel file and then merges it into multiple result files, one for each line of data.
It works on the DOCX XML content, so is not fully using Apache POI XWPF support, but this way formatting and other things from the template are used as expected without the need for full support for everything in Apache POI (which has DOCX support still as part of the "scratchpad" component as support is not considered fully done yet).
You can use Word template with following syntax of LINQ Reporting to achieve your requirements using Aspose.Words for Java.

In cucumber framework, is there a way I can get the currently executing feature file's name or even better it's folder path in the step definition file?
My project is implemented in java and I'm using intelliJ idea. I've already tried using before hook which helps me fetch the scenario instance. But, I can't find a way to get the feature file info.
The only solution I could come up with is by mentioning the feature file's name in the feature file Title and then in the #Before hook get this title using scenario.getId().split(";")[0]
And then parse this Title to fetch the feature file name and store it in a variable which I can later on use in the #After hook to pass it to the Custom Formatter to parse my feature file and save it's data in the database.
Long story short: you are not supposed to. Ask yourself what you are really trying to achieve, why you need the path in the first place. Is it because of some external file? Do you really need an external file or can the content be sufficiently represented in you feature files? If you really need an external file why not have it as a resource? And so on.
Not supposed to?
The reason you would want it is for traceability and explainability.
Very helpful for debugging, too.
Especially when you have more than 20 gherkin files (with up to 200 steps) and more than 20 step definition files.

ReSharper 8.X ships with a macro that fetches the "Containing Type Name", but what I want to do is manipulate that name. I'm using this in a Visual Studio 2013 Web API project, and I want a template that takes the class name and builds the URL that has to be called. So, for example, suppose I have this:

Resharper's Built-In Macros can give me some of what I need, but I want to write a custom macro that fetches the containing type name and chops "Controller" off of it. I would like to do that directly, without storing the containing type name in another parameter.
Also, how do I install this custom macro? I've Googled around, and all I found was a lot of dead links and old walkthroughs written for ReSharper version 7 and below that do NOT work with ReSharper 8.x

I wanted to do exactly this, but for JavaScript Jasmine tests -- SomethingViewModel.js, with a fixture of SomethingViewModelFixture.js, but wanted to be able to refer to SomethingViewModel in the file. A few slight modifications to the above made it possible.
Unfortunately, there's a ton more things you need to do in order to get your plugin to actually install. Here's a list. I hope it's comprehensive.
NuGet package install JetBrains.ReSharper.SDK, make sure you have the correct version installed!
Copy your Class Library DLL to C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Local\JetBrains\ReSharper\<version>\plugins\<your plugin name>, creating the plugins directory if needed.

I just added this annotation to the above file.
The file you add the MacroDefinition to needs to implement IMacroDefinition, which has a method (GetPlaceholder) and a property (Parameters) on it. The former can return any string ("a") and the latter can return an empty array.
You can ignore the WiX/NuGet stuff if you want. Just for a local install.
In VS, the ReSharper->Options->Plugins section has some troubleshooting details on why your plugin might not be loading.

After spending a year working with the Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk namespace, I just discovered yesterday the Entity.FormattedValues property contains the text value for Entity specific (ie Local) Option Set texts.
The reason I didn't discover it before, is there is no early bound method of getting the value. i.e. entity.new_myOptionSet is of type OptionSetValue which only contains the int value. You have to call entity.FormattedValues["new_myoptionset"] to get the string text value of the OptionSetValue.
Therefore, I'd like to get the crmsrvcutil to auto-generate a text property for local option sets. i.e. Along with Entity.new_myOptionSet being generated as it currently does, Entity.new_myOptionSetText would be generated as well.
I've looked into the Microsoft.Crm.Services.Utility.ICodeGenerationService, but that looks like it is mostly for specifying what CodeGenerationType something should be...
Is there a way supported way using CrmServiceUtil to add these properties, or am I better off writing a custom app that I can run that can generate these properties as a partial class to the auto-generated ones?
Edit - Example of the code that I would like to be generated
Currently, whenever I need to access the text value of a OptionSetValue, I use this code:

The option set cache will use the entity.LogicalName, and the property expression to determine the name of the option set that I'm asking for. It will then query the SDK using the RetrieveAttriubteRequest, to get a list of the option set int and text values, which it then caches so it doesn't have to hit CRM again. It then looks up the int value of the New_MyOptionSet of the entity and cross references it with the cached list, to get the text value of the OptionSet.
Instead of doing all of that, I can just do this (assuming that the entity has been retrieved from the server, and not just populated client side):

but the "new_myoptionset" is no longer early bound. I would like the early bound entity classes that gets generated to also generate an extra "Text" property for OptionSetValue properties that calls the above line, so my entity would have this added to it:

Could you utilize the CrmServiceUtil extension that will generate enums for your OptionSets and then add your new_myOptionSetText property to a partial class that compares the int value to the enums and returns the enum string
Again, I think specifically for this case, getting CrmSvcUtil.exe to generate the code you want is a great idea, but more generally, you can access the property name via reflection using an approach similar to the accepted answer # workarounds for nameof() operator in C#: typesafe databinding.

The latest version of the CRM Early Bound Generator includes a Fields struct that that contains the field names. This allows accessing the FormattedValues to be as simple as this:

You could create a new property via an interface for the CrmSvcUtil, but that's a lot of work for a fairly simple call, and I don't think it justifies creating additional properties.
I would like to compare 2 XSD schemas A and B to determine that all instance documents valid to schema A would also be valid to schema B. I hope to use this to prove that even though schema A and B are "different" they are effectively the same. Examples of differences this would not trigger would be Schema A uses types and Schema B declares all of it's elements inline.
I have found lots of people talking about "smart" diff type tools but these would claim the two files are different because they have different text but the resulting structure is the same. I found some references to XSOM but I'm not sure if that will help or not.
Any thoughts on how to proceed?

http://www.service-repository.com/ offers an online XML Schema Version Comparator tool that displays a report of the differences between two XSD that appears to be produced from the Membrane SOA Model.
My approach to this was to canonicalize the representation of the XML Schema.
Unfortunately, I can also tell you that, unlike canonicalization of XML documents (used, as an example, to calculate a digital signature), it is not that simple or even standardized.
So basically, you have to transform both XML Schemas to a "canonical form" - whatever the tool you build or use thinks that form is, and then do the compare.
My approach was to create an XML Schema set (could be more than one file if you have more namespaces) for each root element I needed, since I found it easier to compare XSDs authored using the Russian Doll style, starting from the PSVI model.
I then used options such as auto matching substitution group members coupled with replacement of substitution groups with a choice; removal of "superfluous" XML Schema sequences, collapsing of single option choices or moving minOccurs/maxOccurs around for single item compositors, etc.
Depending on what your XSD-aware comparison tool's features are, or you settle to build, you might also have to rearrange particles under compositors such as xsd:choice or xsd:all; etc.
Anyway, what I learned after all of it was that it is extremely hard to build a tool that would work nice for all "cool" XSD features out there... One test case I remember fondly was to deal with various xsd:any content.

Question 1: Assume that i am reading XmlNodeType.Text and I would like to know its tag node name. How do you do that without moving cursor up or down? Also How can I know parent tag of current node tag?
Question 2: Assume that I am reading xml file and I would like to start at particular node tag. How can do that?
Question 3: if you have xsd file, is there easy way to upload xml file? I am using C# 3.5 .net and sql server 2008.

XmlReader is stateless and only retains information about the current node, so if you are reading the content of an element and wish to know the elements name you need to make sure that when you read the start element node you somehow retain the element name.
Again if you want to know the name of the parent element you need to retain this information / state yourself as you read through the xml document.
If you wish to start reading at a particular node you should go through and read the xml document node by node until you read the node you wish to start at.
Ultimately reading xml via the XmlReader class is more difficult than the alternatives, generally speaking you would only use XmlReader if the the xml document is very large, in most other cases using one of the alternatives:
Linq to XML
The XmlDocument class
Using XSD.exe to generate a .Net class from a XSD file that can be used to serialise and deserialise xml via the XmlSerializer class.
