We are using Hazelcast Mancenter 3.7 enabling the "Time Travelling" option.
We have been checking associated documentation:

There is no direct configuration(or API) available to enable/disable the monitoring during a specified time interval. Once it is enabled, it keeps logging the current state every 5 seconds to a file(.db/.lg).
Management center is not an open source product so we can not directly read those files or query on those files. This would be an awesome feature for those who have got license for it.
PS: I am not a JS guy, so may be there is a way to do that using Javascript/Selenium.
I don't think so there is any hook available to configure the Time travel for timeslot in hazelcast. If I found something I will share with you.

I am looking for some advise about tools for openstack monitoring. This is a project that I am looking to take on and try out. You advise is much appreciated.
I am looking for software/application that I can install on my OpenStack to allow monitoring of security events.
In particular, I am trying to look into virtual machine monitoring, SLA based monitoring, Event based monitoring and Policy Based Monitoring.
Note, I am not really interested in resource allocation or usage. Any advise on existing tools that I can try would be much appreciated.
The OpenStack docs and the OpenStack wiki seem to have some good recommendations. However, this question might be better suited for ServerFault, and you would likely get better answers posting there.
Even at current preview pricing, I'd still like to be able to turn off the service(s) to save some $$. But I'd rather not delete them if I don't have to. Anyone know how to do this?
That is unfortunately not possible with the current version and I fully agree with you that this should be possible. Because with the current model, we cannot benefit from the cloud flexibility that Azure is providing with almost all other services.
I have given this feedback to the team already, but we'll see what will come from it ;)

I'm answering my own question almost a year later. I've found two options.
Option 1: Backup/Restore WABS service using the Azure web UI.
Option 2: Use 'suspend'/'resume' functionality using the RESTful API.
