I'm currently developing a module in DotNetNuke 8.0.3.
I have a weird problem. I'm pretty sure I was able to make changes on my ascx and pressed F5 to see the changes on my browser.
Now I have to rebuild everytime.
I have no clue how to resolve the problem.
I think this is IIS problem (something about cache) but I'm not sure.
The files in the desktopmodule update when I save them in visual studio.

I didn't find a fix. I tried several things about caching in IIS or messing up with web.config but it didn't do anything.
Sometimes I can update my page directly and it looks like it happens when IIS change my module into an application
Login as Host
Navigate Host -> Host Settings
At the bottom, under Advanced settings, there is a setting titled Performance Settings
Expand Performance Settings
Change Cache Setting to None
Click Update
Click Clear Cache

These websites were working before and suddenly after a restart of my AWS Workspaces these websites are returning below error on all browsers. I have re-installed IIS and also deleted the files from C:\inetpub\history. When i run the same website from Visual Studio it works but the url would be like http://localhost:29740.

ERR_CONNECTION_ABORTED
Are you using chrome browser? there are many reasons for this error, such as the website or service you are trying to access does not support the SSLv3 protocol (Secure Socket Layer Version 3 Protocol), some third-party program like your antivirus or an extension install on to your browser might be interrupting your connection to the website.
Before trying any fixes, try to access the same website from a different browser and preferably a different connection. Try to access the website from the browser in Incognito mode may help too. But if you still encounter this error, here is what you can do to fix it.
Disable SSLv3 in Google Chrome:
First, add a Chrome shortcut to the desktop, then right-click the Chrome desktop shortcut, select Properties, and click the Shortcut tab as below.

Disable Antivirus and Firewall
In the System tray on the right corner of your taskbar, right-click on the icon of your Antivirus and then click on the option that refers to disabling your antivirus protection temporarily.If prompted, set the duration of antivirus to be disabled as per your choice.You may temporarily disable Windows Defender in you use iton Windows 10.
Now, you can check if your issue is resolved or not. Additionally, you can disable your Windows Firewall protection too. This is due to the fact that the Windows Firewall monitors and authorizes or denies and inward or outward connection from your computer.
Now, you can check again if your issue is resolved or not.
Reset Google Chrome
To reset Chrome browser, make sure that Google Chrome is not running anywhere in the background using the Task Manager.Now, hit the WINKEY + R combinations to open Run and then navigate to the following path,

Now, select the folder named as Default and hit the Shift + Delete button combinations and then click on Yes for the confirmation prompt you get.
After deleting the Default folder, open Google Chrome and click on the Menu button denoted by three verticle dots in the top right corner.Then, click on Settings. In the Settings section, scroll down and click on Advanced to reveal the Advanced Settings.
Now, scroll down to the Restore Settings to their original defaults button and click on it.Click on Reset, and this will reset your Google Chrome browser.Now check if you issue is fixed or not.
Reinstall Google Chrome
If all the methods that are mentioned above do not work properly, the last and the ultimate fix would be reinstalling Google Chrome.
Auto Save or Prompt before navigating away from text editors in Kentico CMSDesk not working. I already set the Settings -> Content Management -> Prompt to save changes on exit to checked, but didn't work. Can somebody help me.

What I would suggest is to enable the developer tools in chrome or firebug in firefox and check, if there are any javascript errors in your pages. it's possible that some custom javascript interferes with this check. Check for any errors and try to resolve them. Or, as a test, try creating a completely blank page in the content tree, with only an editable region and disable any master page inheritance so there won't be any custom code used on your page and test, if it works there. If it does, then keep adding your scripts and test to see which component or script is causing the issue. Also make sure your settings are enabled on a site level in the settings application.
Which version and hotfix do you use? I suppose you are using v7 (or less - because of CMSDesk). Please note there were some bug fixes related to prompt in CMSDesk (eg. in 7.0.80).

edit: after additional info (screen from your console) I think you have registered your own jquery and you don`t have registered it in no conflict mode. Can you agree? Could you register your jquery in nonconflict mode and try the prompt behavior again?
I just ran into a problem, While I was updating the js and css files for my website on a server, I do not see the immediate change. However, if I were to edit these files on a local computer or go on incognito mode on chrome, I see the change right away.
let's say I have:
div{width:100px}
after I change it to div{width:200px}, when I pop open the developer tool, it still reads div{width:100px}.
I feel like I need to clear something for the broswer, any explanation for this?
Check the caching headers you are using for static resources. The browser is likely using a cached version.
I have a HTML file, which I've uploaded as a web resource and linked to via an activity's form designer in an IFRAME. So far, so good.
Then, when I edited the source file locally and uploaded it (browse-save-publish, of course), I got no difference in the appearance on the screen. Here's the weird part. When I open the uploaded file in the editor, I can see the changes to my source code. On the RTF tab I can also see the change in colors of the background.
However, reloading the "create new"-form doesn't bring those changes to the client! I've tried restarting the window, restarting IE, clearing the cache. Nothing helps.
When I entered the very same page from a different client, I got to see the updated version. But after that, the subsequent changes are not updated either. It's like if IE thinks "oh, matey, ya wanna cache that for life, I see". Well, I don't. I'd like to see my edition in action pretty much directly and without creating a new account with a new client. :)
After a while, the update seems to go through and I get to see a new version but not in all browsers.
What is causing it?! How do I kill it?

I have seen CRM do some weird IIS Caching. I'd assume this is a server side issue, but your using crm online, they won't let you run an IIS reset now will they? :) Have you tried running it on a new client in private browsing mode, deploying your change, and opening a new private browser to test if it is a client caching issue or a server caching issue?
I'm making a webpage in Drupal 6.26, and I blocked in a strange thing. I develop both in Localhost, and online, and the strange is that some how in online the primary links are empty (but there's element on it I can see in /admin/build/menu-customize/primary-links also in this page the menu elements appeared in the place, but in the other pages they don't), but in Localhost everything is ok, and i checked all of the settings and they are the same, the theme files are the same to,(and i didn't change anything in the other drupal files), the only difference is that the online page is set in offline (because the under maintenance), and I tried it to make it online, but the problem is still there, so I don't really have any idea.
That might be a theme problem. Make sure your local configuration has the same active theme as the installation on the public server. Try switching to a default theme that comes with Drupal.
Another cause might be one of your modules. Try disabling all but the system modules and then start re-enabling them one-by-one to see which one changes your menu.
