I build Ionic app with node with express back-end , With this service i can fetch some json data using AngularJS http provider.
I can show the json data using browser.
But when i build my app and then install on my android device, nothing's shown.
This might be related to security. You may need to install cordova-plugin-whitelist and make the appropriate configurations - see https://cordova.apache.org/docs/en/latest/guide/appdev/whitelist/index.html
If this is not the case please provide more details about the error you see in the console

i need asp.netcore web api with authentication (ApplicationDbContext i.e.identity default database context ). i feel comfortable with visual studio as back-end.
2.i need react-redux app with authentication(front-end) working independently that start with "npm start". i feel good with vs code. on the front-end i want to add react-redux and redux-thunk to implement my course website front end. i have been in struggle for a week to achieve this.i tried with vs templates but when ever i install react-redux the user management fails and the client app does not start.tried, web application, api and web application with restful templates.
if someone have better idea to accomplish my task . my overall problem is to create a website that can present online courses.the teachers could add course material and student can access.
Try running npm install before your create-react-app script.
If that doesn't work, deleting "node_modules" folder and running npm install.
If that doesn't work, you can always try setting up your react environment manually (For example, as in this great tutorial here)
Worst-case, you can always use react just client-side only, and although this becomes difficult due to most online tutorials being server-side, at least you can get started and not be blocked on your project.

As we all know you can use compilers as Cordova to convert web applications so you can upload your application to the app store.
This can easily be done when developing with HTML5 and Node.
But is it possible to convert a MEAN application (MongoDB, Express, Angular and Node)?
You can run nodejs server on mobile with jxcore, but I think you should run only client side part on cordova and api shall stay on server. Ideally, I think that api and client side must be separate projects.
No, you can't.
MEAN stack is full stack. You can make your frontend an app with cordova but you still need database and backend service.
But that's ok. Make your app mobile friendly and stick with your server to provide the data you need to make it work.
What you can do, it's to create hosted web app. This is existing web application, just wrapped to make it possible to submit to app store.
For this you can use Manfoldjs, for example Using Cordova Plugins in Hosted Web Apps or if you use Visual Studio, you can use Visual Studio Tools
for Apache Cordova.
I am just trying to upgrade my Azure Mobile Service(AMS) to Mobile app service with the help of documentation link provided here.
I have successfully migrated my Mobile service with the help of button provided on portal. After that I also installed node server on my local machine and installed following node package -
npm i -g azure-mobile-apps-compatibility
I have also obtained my Azure Mobile Service script files. Following is my folder hierarchy of Scripts folder -
Now here in this step I am stuck. I am trying to Scaffold the new Azure Mobile Apps backend with the help of following Node command -
scaffold-mobile-app scripts out
When I executed above command, I am getting following errors in node command prompt -
After looking at the errors I thought that there is some problem with my municipality api files. So I also tried removing my municipality.js and permissions.js file. After that I re executed the scaffolding command. But it again gave me the following error -
I did some research to resolve this error. But I did not get any relevant help in that context. Can someone help/ guide me so that I can proceed further in this upgrade activity?
I want to develop an hybrid cross platform app that creates a socket connection to given Ip.
I have achieved it using webTCP module in node.js by running node from cmd to start the server.
Now I want to pack this in to an app using Phonegap. But my question is how do I run node(to start server) in mobile through the app created using phonegap.
Do we need to install node in mobile. If so how can I do that?
Thanx in advance.
nodejs isn't done (yet) to run on Android. NodeJs is a server thing so it should run on your server to run tour backend.
In order to do what you want to do you will have to redesign your architecture.
Indeed, Cordova/PhoneGap is a little server (actually it's is a WebView but you can approximate it to a static content delevery server). So you will have to made your cordova app talk to your node-server.
1. CORS
Cordova-app <- INTERNET -> Node-server
The first thing to do is to enable CORS, for nodejs and whitelist the adress of your node-server in cordova
2. let's talk
Now you can start talking to your server with your cordova app, there is many ways to do that :
xhr/Ajax request
Pur WebSocket (you will need to enable JAVA-WebSocket)
Socketio
3. being more powerful
You will need more powerful feature between your app and your server side. In order to do that, you could need some WebApp framework. Indeed, they automate for you the connection between the server and your application and offer you a cool and easy environment to do great apps. If you want to know more about it, you could look at
BackBone
Marionette
AngularJs
Hope that help.
I am new to any JS framework and hence I am planning to build a SPA without using any Server Side Development using Ebmer.js. Since everything need to be done at the client side, can it be done without using node.Js which does provide some server side functionality ?
Basically I would like to build a login page functionality so that user can login only when they have provided correct credentials.
To build a SPA, you can go through different framework like jQuery Mobile, Sencha Touch which are AJAX based completely and needs a server. To simulate a server and to handle AJAX request you need to host a local server. Sencha has provided Sencha CMD 5.x which you can install in any system (Windows, MAC, Linux). After installing this software you just have to browse to the folder which you want to deploy on the server.
.
Open Command prompt or terminal, and type the command sencha web start.
After this you can access your application through a local server hosted on port:1841.
You will get an access to your file system as shown below.
And the result is like
