Tax From Changed for Nexus - netsuite

I am trying to create sales orders using WebServices from our CRM (Salesforce) to NetSuite. I am having an issue with international sales orders, in particular I am hitting this issue with United Kingdom.
If I create a sales order in the UI and set a bunch of field values and then set the Address to United Kingdom, I get a popup with the following message:
The address you have selected is based in a nexus for which you are required to charge a different kind of tax. Click OK to change the form to one that is applicable for that Nexus.
In the UI, when you click "ok", the page reloads and a few new tax fields appear (the fields are built in, denoted by the field ids). The problem is when the page reloads, all of the data is wiped out.
I did this UI testing to determine what was causing this. However, in WebServices, all the data sets at once (not able to be done in any "order"). What is happening with my webservice call is that it gets this same warning and then all of the data it tried to send is lost and then it tries to submit the record, hitting validation rules we have in place.
Has anyone hit this before? Is there a field or something I can set via webservices that is what NS is doing on the backend when you click "ok"?
I am open to any solution. I do have a ticket open with NS Support, however so far they have not been helpful. If I do get a resolution, I intend to post it for others.

How to force custom sublist view (Saved Search) on specific roles

I have modified the view under communication > Messages for a supplier, so that nobody apart from Finance should be able to see certain transactions. I also managed to make the new one default. However, the users still see the other views in the view dropdown list and the ‘View History’ button shows communication history of everything.
Please advice on how to stop the users from using the other views and remove ‘View History’ button? I tried workflow but it did not work.enter image description here

How to get default shipping address with Payment Request button before customers clicks "Pay"? I'm using Stripe.js & Elements

I'm using Stripe's PaymentRequest button to collect payment & shipping information to later process the payment with Stripe on the server side. I'm targeting ApplePay, but currently testing under PaymentRequest API (Chrome).
I need to know the customer's shipping address to calculate & show tax amount (and update grand total) before the payment form is submitted. I can easily get it via "shippingaddresschange" event, but only if the customer changes the address.
How can I get the default shipping address that the payment request form is automatically loaded with if customer doesn't change it later on? The initial (default) address does not seem to trigger "shippingaddresschange" event.

Chrome pre-selects an address if you pre-select a shipping option that you're OK using for any address in the world, i.e., flat rate shipping world-wide. Here you would not know the shipping address until the user authorizes the payment.
However, in your case, you need to know the shipping address to calculate & show the tax amount. This means that you don't have a world-wide flat rate, so you would not pre-select a shipping option. In this case, Chrome requires the user to explicitly approve providing their address to you, which means that the user's address will not be pre-selected in the UI as it is implemented right now.
I think this is a bug with Chrome. Safari/ApplePay will trigger an initial onshippingaddresschange when the payment sheet is displayed but Chrome does not.
I've also run into an issue with Chrome where I select a shipping address and onshippingaddresschange triggers. I then cancel/dismiss the dialog and re-open but the "default" shipping address is selected and all of the data (i.e. shipping option, tax, etc...) in my payment sheet is still set from the previous onshippingaddresschange event.
ApplePay doesn't have the same issue because it will trigger that onshippingaddresschange event as soon as it opens.
This isn't really an "answer" but I'm hoping this provides a little more context.
There's is no such thing like default shipping address. User always has to explicitly choose one before you get shippingaddresschange event. This is for privacy reasons.

Stripe test payments do not show up in dashboard

I am using a PHP Stripe Payment form to collect payments. The payments seem be going through OK and take the user to the confirmation page upon successful completion. I am in test mode and am able to see the payments as they show up in the 'Payments' section of the dashboard. However, when I click on the 'Home' section of the dashboard, I do not see them under the 'Gross volume' tab. There are no error logs created by my code. Also, the Stripe dashboard shows no errors as well. Does it usually take a while for the payments to shown up in the dashboard (even in the test mode)? Or it there something else?
Here's what I have tried after researching on the Internet - clearing browser cache. It worked and showed some of the payments, but its not showing the new charges under the 'Gross Volume' tab, though they show up OK in the 'Payments' section of the dashboard.

You're most likely only creating Tokens but not using those Tokens to create Charges on the server side.
You'll need to make sure you're creating both the Token - using Checkout or Elements - and then the Charge: https://stripe.com/docs/charges
If that's not causing the problem, you'll want to reach out to Stripe Support so they can look into the details for you.
You need to clear out all test data.
Login to your Stripe account
Business Settings
Data
Look for Test data
Click Delete all test data
Go back to your dashboard and click on Payments. Your non-test data will appear.
This is a strange work-a-round because, if I searched for the know good order, the order would show up. So somehow deleting the test data allows the order to appear in the Payment List without doing a search.

Is it possible that InBox Actions are being used to phish Amazon customers?

I've just encountered some weird behavior in Gmail that looks like some new kind of phishing attack. I got a couple shipment confirmations from Amazon today and there are these "Track Package" buttons (also I see "View Order" buttons on order confirmations) but when I click on them the page that gets opened is clearly not the correct shipper's web site.
Which looks fine but clicking on those buttons lead to bad pages. For example one of them goes to http://websro.correios.com.br. On the other it goes to USPS.com while the actual shipper (and correct link in the email body) goes to UPS.com.
I've looked at the source of the email and it all looks fine. There are no SCRIPT tags of any kind and no bogus links anywhere in the text (by which I also mean the HTML). The problem appears the same in Safari (6.1.1) and Chrome (31.0.1650.63). It looks normal in Mail (both Mountain Lion and iOS 5).
I couldn't figure out how such a button could get there and I found this feature for adding "registered" script actions to Gmail which is the only thing I can imagine would affect both Safari and Chrome.
When an order confirmation or parcel delivery email doesn't contain the necessary microdata to trigger the action, Gmail can still try to automatically extract the same information and show the button to the user as if the microdata was present.
Clearly this approach is less accurate than the one that relies on microdata, and it seems that in your case something went wrong with the automatic parsing.
No need to be worried about phishing though, as actions only show up for registered senders.

Set field via URL

Is it possible to have a field in the current item be changed by clicking a URL? The field would be a choice field with predefined choices.
Such as if the item field is currently:
Status: 2
If a user clicks the link, the field would now be:
Status: 3
If not, is there any other way for a user to easily change a field in the current item without actually haveing to visit the item?

Not Out Of The Box (OOTB) - but you've a few options.
Write an ASPX page to do what you want
Use something like SPServices and javascript to update the list item via the web services.
Use the Client Object Model (2010 only)
By the way - changing stuff on a 'get' can be dangerous as you can do malicious things - for example imagine you have a page that deletes the users account without any prompting (exact example doesn't matter) - what if someone clicks on that link by mistake or even worse what about an email sent with an image with that page as source URL - simply viewing the email could delete the users account.
It's not possible by using a GET request, but SharePoint 2010 is offering a RESTful API to manage ListItems from any client
The REST API is located within the virtual WebServices folgder under each SharePoint Site.

To perform an update on SharePoint ListItems you have to create a PUT Request. For more information on SharePoints REST API you should have a look at this MSDN site, there are also a lot of samples linked from this article.
