SSH key authentication - linux

I'm trying to get one server to be able to login to another server without using passwords.
I added the server 1 id_rsa.pub to server 2's authorized_keys. I chmod 600 server 2 authorized_keys file. But server 1 still can't login to server 2 without specifying a password. What am I doing wrong?
When I run ssh in debug mode, I get the following error:
debug2: we did not send a packet, disable method
debug3: authmethod_lookup publickey
debug3: remaining preferred: keyboard-interactive,password
debug3: authmethod_is_enabled publickey
debug1: Next authentication method: publickey
debug1: Offering public key: id_rsa
debug3: send_pubkey_test
debug2: we sent a publickey packet, wait for reply
debug3: Wrote 624 bytes for a total of 1901
debug1: Authentications that can continue: publickey,gssapi-keyex,gssapi-with-mic,password
debug2: we did not send a packet, disable method
debug3: authmethod_lookup password
debug3: remaining preferred: ,password
debug3: authmethod_is_enabled password
debug1: Next authentication method: password

According to this, you may need to change the permissions of .ssh to 700 (chmod 700 .ssh)

How to use sshpass without TTY on a Node.JS backend?

I am running the following in a script:
pubkey=$(gpg2 --verbose --export-ssh-key $EXPORT_THIS_ID)
sshpass -p$REMOTE_PASS ssh -o IdentitiesOnly=yes -o StrictHostKeyChecking=no -tt -p $REMOTE_PORT root#$REMOTE_MACHINE 'bash -s' < ./adopt-machine.sh "\"$pubkey\""
as a child process in node.js with stdout and stderr piped over http (no tty, hence the -tt option for the ssh command) and am receiving the following error:
Received disconnect from 172.18.0.4 port 2222:2: Too many authentication failures
Disconnected from 172.18.0.4 port 2222
I've read that this error is a result of the agent attempt to connect using keys one at a time which is why I would think the error is related to tty(incorrect handling of password). Help?
EDIT: I no longer require piping stdout over http but am having the same issue. It may be unrelated to tty.
Using the ssh command without -tt as follows:
result=$(sshpass -p$REMOTE_PASS ssh -vvv -o IdentitiesOnly=yes -o StrictHostKeyChecking=no -p $REMOTE_PORT root#$REMOTE_MACHINE 'bash -s' < /usr/raindrop/app/gpg/adopt-machine "\"$pubkey\"" 2>&1)
results in the following output:

Similarly to what I theorized, ssh is attempting to use non existent keys in the .ssh directory.
I have resolved my issue and it had nothing to do with my code. Using sshpass -v I got this message:

Can't ssh to cygwin in a domain from Linux and Mac

Following this page I successfully configured Cygwin sshd in a Windows 10 computer running as a member of a Windows(Samba) domain.
I can ssh to that machine from a Windows 10 inside the domain and from a Windows 10 outside the domain. I am running the ssh command in Cygwin in both cases.
But, I can't connect from a Linux Debian 10 machine outside the domain, I can't connect from the Linux Debian 10 running the Samba DC, I can't connect from a Mac outside the domain.
Any ideas?
I use always the same command to start the connection ssh nicola#domus, the same in each OS. I attach the last part of what I see in the attempt to connect via Linux.

I found just after posting that I can actually connect via Linux and Mac if I force password authentication.
ssh -o PreferredAuthentications=password -o PubkeyAuthentication=no nicola#domus
But, I consider this more a quick fix than a solution. Do you have any better ideas?

How to fix (gssapi-keyex,gssapi-with-mic) issues for SSH and Kerberos?

I'm trying to establish a connection with some servers from my Ubuntu 20.04 cp. I use both Kerberos and ssh protocols to connect my computer; however, I received from ssh the following:"Permission denied (gssapi-keyex,gssapi-with-mic)". Kerberos seems to work properly since I have successfully received tickets from it. I looked for similar questions before but no one have helped me so far.
If relevant during the installation process i create a file called "config" where i paste some line of code required for ssh. My procedure was the following 1) cd .ssh 2)touch config 3)sudo nano config (where i copy and paste the lines) 4) and then restart ssh and sshd services.
Any help would be awesome and thanks for your time guys!:)

openssh seamless login does not work

Have been trying to setup the seamless ssh login across couple of servers but running into issues as after copying the public key the ssh to the host still asks for the password. Here is what I did
[root#app6 .ssh]# ssh-keygen
Generating public/private rsa key pair.
Enter file in which to save the key (/root/.ssh/id_rsa):
/root/.ssh/id_rsa already exists.
Overwrite (y/n)? y
Enter passphrase (empty for no passphrase):
Enter same passphrase again:
Your identification has been saved in /root/.ssh/id_rsa.
Your public key has been saved in /root/.ssh/id_rsa.pub.
The key fingerprint is:
e9:e9:b4:e5:50:7b:9b:f6:3f:d5:65:52:39:9c:ba:38 root#app6
The key's randomart image is:

Password:
Check the following
The directory app3:~/.ssh has permissions 0700
The file app3:~/.ssh/authorized_keys has permissions 0600
The key app6:~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub exists in app3:~/.ssh/authorized_keys
Check sshd config file
PermitRootLogin yes
RSAAuthentication yes
PubkeyAuthentication yes
If all the above is correct, then run ssh -vvv app3 to see a very verbose connection info. It should provide feedback on why the password-less login fails.
comment for #yk11 's answer:
4.check the sshd config file
PermitRootLogin yes
RSAAuthentication yes
PubkeyAuthentication yes
open these config and restart sshd process.

Phabricator SHH Config

I'm installing phabricator for code review.
I followed the Diffusion hosting repository guide and I can add new hosted repository.
But when I test the connection:
echo {} | ssh -p 22 phassh#localhost conduit conduit.ping
I got:
Permission denied (publickey,keyboard-interactive).
I used the debug mode of ssh
sudo /usr/sbin/sshd -d -d -d -f /etc/ssh/sshd_config.phabricator
the log is:
debug2: load_server_config: filename /etc/ssh/sshd_config.phabricator

I think my public key is not correct, but I don't know how to modified it.
My /etc/passwd:
phassh:x:1000:1000:phabricator vcs-user:/usr/phassh:/bin/bash
My /etc/shadow:
phassh:NP:16882:0:99999:7:::
My /etc/sudoers:
phassh ALL=(root) SETENV: NOPASSWD: /usr/bin/svnserve
And another question is:
In the the Diffusion hosting repository guide says copy a publish key to Settings > SSH Public Keys, where the public key should are?
