python str replace '\' - string

i'm new to python, i wrote script that query from db, and getting path looking like this:
...\\dev$\\AUTOMATION\\Logs\14-01-16_15-50-57_143
when i print the result i see that:
the \14
change to hexa- x0c
i want to access this link, in order to do so i need to add \ so the link will look like this:
...\\dev$\\AUTOMATION\\Logs\\14-01-16_15-50-57_143
I tried to os.path.dirname
re.find split and didnt get what i needed.
please i tried so many suggestions i saw in xda and non helped me.
Thanks,
Thanks for the response.
I know the escape , like: r'MyString', or \ when there is \
The problem is that i get the path from DB
and in the DB the path i receive is like this .. \AUTOMATION\Logs\15-01-16_15-50-57_143
and python load it immediately to x0c
I hope the problem sounds more clear..
Thnaks

When you print a string, you need to escape the backslashes with another backslash. \14 is getting read as a hex value, but \\14 will be printed correctly.

%7B and %7D being included in URL query

I'm making an IMBD movie-searching tool with streamlit. I've completed the code, however, my URL query line is not working.
url = f'http://www.omdbapi.com/?t={title}&apikey={APIKEY}'
The code can be seen above:
The issue seems to be when the URL is taken in the braces {} gets changed into their ASCII counterparts instead of being interpreted as taking in the movie title and API key.
The issue can be seen below:
http://www.omdbapi.com/?t=**%7B**title%7D&apikey=%7BAPIKEY%7D
Any advice would be appreciated.

node.js how to put a enter

i am trying to code something in node.js but i don't know how to put a space for my log script:
Hook.info("Logger",`app: ${appopen}`)
what i want it to look like:
app: netflix
other app open: notepad
but i don't know how to put an enter so it looks like that.
so hopefully someone can help me with this!
also more information: im using https://jb3.github.io/webhook-discord/
Julien's answer should be correct. I can't yet comment but be sure that you're using backticks since those are what you need for template literals. It shouldn't be
Hook.info("Logger", "test \n ${appopen}"
but rather
Hook.info("Logger", `test \n ${appopen}`)
If you meant you wanted a carriage return at the end of the line then it should be
Hook.info("Logger", `test ${appopen}\n`)
You mean a Carriage Return, I guess. Try Hook.info("Logger", "\n")

I'm not getting any output in the correct code (2nd code)?

Hi and thanks in advance for any help.
Here is the code that works with the proper output.
first_name="ada"
last_name="lovelace"
full_name=f"{first_name} {last_name}"
message=(f"Hello, {full_name.title()}!")
print(message)
Here is the similar code with no output...and I can't figure out why?
first_name="ada"
last_name="lovelace"
full_name=f"{first_name} {last_name}"
print(full_name)
I know it is correct coding based on the teacher's response but can't figure out why?
Thank you for any help!
You forgot to add .title() to your string formatting request.
You can do either:
# to get both capitalized add .title() twice here at "full name".
first_name="ada"
last_name="lovelace"
full_name=f"{first_name.title()} {last_name.title()}"
print(full_name)
or:
# to get both capitalized add .title() once here at "message".
first_name="ada"
last_name="lovelace"
full_name=f"{first_name} {last_name}"
message=(f"{full_name.title()}")
print(message)

IMAP fetch() returns command error: BAD [b' Command Argument Error. 12']

I'm having trouble finding examples/troubleshooting tips online, and am not quite sure that I'm interpreting the documentation correctly. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I'm connecting to an e-mail server, and want to read the e-mail subjects, and bodies. I first make my connection like so:
import imaplib
c = imaplib.IMAP4_SSL(hostname, port)
c.login(username, password)
foldername = 'INBOX/SSR'
c.select(str.encode(foldername), readonly = True)
today = datetime.date.today().strftime('%d-%b-%Y')
searchcriteria = '(SENTON '{}')'.format(today)
typ, msg_ids = c.search(None, searchcriteria)
msg_ids = [s.decode('ascii') for s in msg_ids]
for idnumber in msg_ids:
print(c.fetch(idnumber, "(BODY.PEEK[HEADER])"))
The code and works and output looks as expected, up until the last line, at which point, I get
imaplib.error: FETCH command error: BAD [b' Command Argument Error. 12']
My line of thought, and subsequent testing examined the following possible issues:
bytes vs. string. I converted input back to bytes, but the error remained constant
improper syntax: I tried other commands, such as BODY, SUBJECT, and ENVELOPE but still got the same message.
I'm not sure how to interpret the error, and don't really know where to start. Referencing https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc3501.html from pp. 102+, I noticed that the values are labeled differently, but don't understand what the issue is with my implementation. How should I interpret the error? What is wrong with my syntax?
P.S. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the c.search shouldn't change my directory, yes? As in, by selecting foldername, I "navigate" to the selected folder, but just searching only returns values and shouldn't change my location?
I encountered the same problem while I tried to list or select a new mailbox - BAD [b' Command Argument Error. 12'], in my case, it didn't work with “Sent Box”, but it worked well with “Outbox”, so the space symbol is the point.
So it worked with c.select('"{}"'.format("Sent Box")...
Hope this information could help you.
Your last line is not correct msg_ids = [s.decode('ascii') for s in msg_ids]
msg_ids is a list with bytes string, not with elements of a list - example: [b'123 124 125']
Change the last line into msg_ids = msg_ids[0].split(b' ') and it will work as expected.

How to encode a PHP file with base64

:)
I have one ridiculously silly question and most of you would like to reffer me to Google right away, but that didn't helped me out within the first hour. I suppose I didn't knew how to look for. I'm having a PHP file and I'd like to have it in base64 yet I can't get it to work anyhow.
1) I encoded my PHP script to base64(and included the PHP tags). It'll look as following : JTNDJTNGcGhwJTIwVGhpcyUyMGlzJTIwdGhlJTIwUEhQJTIwY29kZSUyMCUzRiUzRQ==
This kind of base64 won't execute so I added the PHP tags to it although the encoded file already had it. Still didn't worked out. Removed the tags from the base64 and tried again, but still didn't worked. Then I tried adding the PHP tags and inside of them added :
eval(gzinflate(base64_decode('base64 here')));
Still didn't worked out anyhow. Is anyone here kind enough to tell the kiddo how to run a base64 encoded PHP file properly?
Would be really appreaciated. :)
A simple code:
$source = "JTNDJTNGcGhwJTIwVGhpcyUyMGlzJTIwdGhlJTIwUEhQJTIwY29kZSUyMCUzRiUzRQ==";
$code = base64_decode($source);
eval($code);
or even shorter:
eval(base64_decode("JTNDJTNGcGhwJTIwVGhpcyUyMGlzJTIwdGhlJTIwUEhQJTIwY29kZSUyMCUzRiUzRQ=="));
Do you want to encrypt your code? If so, this is not the right way. Use a accelerator like this one or this one. They will crypt your codes and make them even faster!
If you are going to use base_64 to encode your php file then the encoded text need to seat in between the php tags including the base_64 tag.
Example:
If your code is:
JTNDJTNGcGhwJTIwVGhpcyUyMGlzJTIwdGhlJTIwUEhQJTIwY29kZSUyMCUzRiUzRQ
Then your code should look like:
<?php eval("?>".base64_decode("JTNDJTNGcGhwJTIwVGhpcyUyMGlzJTIwdGhlJTIwUEhQJTIwY29kZSUyMCUzRiUzRQ")); ?>
Basically your basic code will look like this:
<?php eval("?>".base64_decode("Code Goes here")); ?>
There are more simple tools that can give you this option
