ImageButton plusButton = new ImageButton(context);
plusButton.setImageResource(x);
I need some resource to put in place of x in the above code line, such as, to achieve something like the minus and plus button shown near the phone number field in the image below:
But I don't know where the resource of these images lie. So please help me out with that. Thank you.
The icon for the minus sign is called "remove" in the Material Design Icon set.
Try this: Menu or if you want id:
getResources().getDrawable(android.R.drawable.*);
and search under data/res/drawable.

I have got a task to write a calculator on wicket and I have faced with some problems.
How to get button value(1,2,3...-,+,/,*) handle it(multiply or divide) and output a result to text field to user? Could you help me, please.
In swing it is really easy, e.g. new JtextField.setText("Shalom world!"); How I can do the same in wicket?
Thank you
Use a TextField, or Label, to display the calculator value. The model for the component should get an object that you update on each click of a button. A quick way to do this would be to create a member variable in your class that holds your total and use a PropertyModel to get the value of the member variable. If you are using AjaxLink, you will need to add the TextField to your target on click of each button and you need setOutputMarkupId to be true.
Background: a third party web application with a requirement on the order page to explicitly guide staff when a certain category of product is ordered.
Normal process:
select product to add order line (click on product image)
New process:
select product to add order line (click on product image)
[add on] simulate click on edit order line
[add on] simulate clear of default additional information form fields
enter additional information and click save
Note that the two steps to be performed by the add-on could be performed by the user however when things get busy or new staff begin is often the case that the order gets processed with the default value.
Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated.
A multi-browser solution is preferred but not essential.
I am an experienced developer, including web development, but have no experience in browser add on/extension development.
Thanks.
You can make an addon out of this very easily. You addEventListener to the gBrowser and if the event.target is the product element then preventDefault so the click doesnt go thru (you will have to do mousedown and mouseup prevent as well). Then rather get the id of the "edit order line" and do .click() if that doesnt work and you really need to simulate use MouseEvent:
MDN :: MouseEvent
MDN :: Initatite/Dispatch MouseEvent
To enter aditional information get the id of the fields, and set their value. Then get the "Save" button id and then do .submit() or .click()
i said do get id in this post but you can use querySelector and go by css selector
see this page here on how to interact with content in currently selected tab:
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/Code_snippets/Tabbed_browser
basically just do gBrowser.contentDocument.getElementById
I have taken the horizontal list view.I am able to display the images in list view.It is displaying all the images horizontally.But my requirement is i need to show only 4 images in a row.If there is 5th image then it should come in the second row(for each row there should me only 4 images).How can i do this.Actually i am struck up here.I think you are able to understand my problem.Thank You.
I am using JavaFX 2.x
As far as I understand, if you need to allocate only 4 images in a row, and the 5th+ images transfer on the next row, you will be able to use a GridPane :
http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2/layout/builtin_layouts.htm
where you could obviously set position of ImageView. Seems, it works so : you determine your own ListCell, and set its graphic node to be a gridpane, and configure grid pane as you wish.
Also, take a look on a flow pane, possibly, it will help you.
If I'm wrong with a recipe, please, try to describe your trouble again (code/screenshot). I'm not comletely sure about it.
I'm trying to create a POS Andriod app for my first Android class. For the menu, I implemented a scrollview for our client to choose a product of theirs. When a product is clicked, it goes to another screen wherein the product details (image and description) and 'add to cart' is found. What I did was created that menu screen, and numerous activity screens along with its respective layout xml files for each product offered. My question is, is there a more efficient way to go about this? I mean, is it possible to create just one xml layout for all products, while the product description changes depending on the product chosen? I've tried searching for a guide about this, but I'm not sure if I've been searching for the correct keywords.
Thank you. :)
You can modify contents of the layout with methods like
TextView description = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.description);
description.setText("My cool product");
description.setCompoundDrawablesRelativeWithIntrinsicBounds
(null, R.drawable.product1, null, null);
I am new in Android app development and using Java language.
My problem is every time I make a TextView or Button there is a triangle with the exclamation mark below them.
and when I click it I saw a message saying:
hardcoded string “Button”, should use #string resource
I have two activities, in my main activity there is a Button that when you click it you will go in second activity.
But when I go to my main.java to make a code for the button. There's always the above shown error. I think the eclipse can't find the id of my button and same for my TextView they have same error message.
Here is the code I made:
Button b = FindViewById(R.id.button1);
I also add:
Button b = (Button) FindViewById(R.id.button1);
I am using the latest eclipse classic and ADT august issue. The platform is Android 4.1 API 16.
You shouldn't hardcode the "text" on the widgets use the strings resources ie., strings in the strings.xml to set the text. Declare the "text" you want to display as a string in strings.xml and access it using #string/your_string_name in the layout file.
Notice the id of the button, which is rounded in red. You have to use this id when you want to call it in a method, for an example
Button b = (Button) FindViewById(R.id.button1);
Furthermore, check whether your graphical layout matches with the image I have provided.
Just try your code again with these changes.
Your main.java would look like this.
I am a newbie too, but I believe I got this. So basically what's happening here, java wants you to put your hardcodes in string.xml. so that when accessing it, you will use the given methods below before:
.
But this is how it should be.
Let's start by string.xml
Then come back to your activity_main.xml
