I have searched endlessly for a solution to centering my drop-down navigation bar on my website.
I have tried removing the code float: left code from my CSS and added the code display: inline-block: but nothing seems to be working. I have tried several solutions but they have either moved my navigation bar from the top or removed the background I have set for the navigation bar.
If I could get some help on centering the navigation bar without removing the navigation bar's background or displacing it, that would be great.

Your going to want to make a create a id for your ul's that does this tag around your entire list. Then you can use this for css.
#navmenu {
margin: 0 auto;
width: 500px;
}
#navmenu a {
width: 100px;
text-align: center;
}
So this will work if your using an inline list. Let me know if this solution is helpful at all, because we can custom taylor it to your css/html specifically.
it has been some time since I made my last webpage and it seems that I have forgot much. I cant resolve why the last item from the #menu ul goes to the next line while the #menu div is wide enough to contain all the list elements plus the logo div, it has margin and padding set to 0.
I used to do menus in such way before but have probably forgot something.
I searched for the solution however I cant make the things working right.
The question is..why arent the li items in one line? Whats causing the 850 px overlap when they all together should be 802px wide?

Thank you for your advices.
Allright, basic mistake: when positioning two elements using float property just beside each other one must have float:left (#logo) and the other muset go to right simple adding float:right to #menu did the thing (also removed the 150px padding-right).
Dear fellow stackoverflowers,
I'm having a peculiar problem I can't seem to find the solution for.
I'm trying to apply the width of the largest div to the smaller divs, so that they appear equal in width, through flexboxing. Unfortunately, all the solutions so far have been futile efforts. Do you have any idea why the different divs in the example I've linked to won't display the same width as the largest element? I know the boxes get their width from the content, but I just can't seem to make them behave the way I want.

I'm having a trouble with the menu widget.
I want to have a menu item that has a custom layout as a content. Very similar to what is shown in this demo: http://demos.kendoui.com/web/menu/index.html
The "Stores" item has a custom layout, and when I click inside, the menu isn't closed, which is the behavior I want. But if I copy the code shown below to my own project, when I click inside, the menu is closed... I don't want this behavior.
Why this happen in my project and not in the demo example? How can I solve this? Maybe some javascript library in conflict?
In items that have regular items, the behavior is the same in both...
Code (copied from the demo page):

I found the problem.
I was using an old version of kendo (2013.1.514). When I updated to the latest (2013.2.716) the problem was gone.
This problem only affects IE7. The hover effect works but when I attempt to hover over the sub-menu items, the menu suddenly disappears! Only, it's covered by the images in the header div. I've tried z-index and removing margin among other things but nothing works.

Ohhh such a rule there div#menu ul li:hover ul ul (and many others) are not treated by IE6 or IE7.
IE browsers until IE8 only manage :hover rules for link elements.
Check this tutorial where it's explained in detail the problem and the solution.
Good Luck!
