deleting excel tabs doesn't reduce file size - excel

In an effort to reduce a 60MB excel file I deleted half the tabs, and many of the formulas on the remaining tabs.
The result didn't budge the overall filesize. Perhaps (as in access) there's a function/addin/? which will compress or recover the space?
I tried to export the tabs to a new file, however, most of the tabs have tables and so is impossible.
btw, the file is already in .XLSB format.

VBA Copy specific rows from multiple sheets with their names containing "Hawk" and paste into new sheet

I have a workbook containing multiple spreadsheets. Some of these spreadsheets contain the word "Hawk" in their name. For instance, "12345 - HAWK" and "ABCDE - Hawk". I need to copy data from these sheets starting from row 38 down to however many rows that Hawk sheet contains and paste this into a new spreadsheet.
I have this code that I got from another thread, but it is only pasting the rows from the last sheet that contains the word "Hawk". I need it to paste from EVERY sheet that contains "Hawk" in the name, not just the last one.
I don't have any experience in VBA, so I'm not sure what is going wrong. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Use this one instead of your code..It will collect all the data from range "A38" to last row and column and paste in mastersheet..Check this and let me know if it works.

Copying looped data from one workbook and paste to another

I have written this code, and it works when doing it from one sheet to another. (Same workbook). But when i loop through the rows from workbook to workbook i get "Run time error 9" Subscript out of range.
I've checked several times if the filenames are as stated in the code, and it doesn't seem to be the problem. Also if I in the first piece write y.sheets("Tavledisplay") instead of worksheets("Tavledisplay") the debugger tells me there's a problem there. Doing it the latter way, it sends 1 loop of data, and stops at y.sheets("Tavledisplay").Activate.

I expect the code to loop through all the given rows, where there is a "Ja" in column 14, and pasting them into my other workbook sheet "Løsninger" and deleting them from the other workbook.
You don't need to loop through each loop, a simple filter will do the trick:

Copy rows in Excel if cell contains name from an array

I have an Excel sheet that contains entries for ~150 employees. Each row contains the name as well as hours worked, pay, team, etc etc etc etc. The B column in each row contains the employees name in Last,First format. About half the employees on the sheet are part time employees. What i'm trying to do is write a macro in VB that copies the entire row if the name in the B column matches one of the names of the part time employees so that one of my coworkers can simply run the macro and paste all of the rows of copied users into a new sheet each week. This code should work for what you are looking for. It is important to note that the string names in your array must be identical to that in Column B (with the exception of leading and trailing spaces), so if the names are written "LastName, FirstName" then your input data must be identical. This code could be tweaked to not have this requirement, but for now I've left it as such. Let me know if you'd prefer the code be adjusted.

If Condition to create sheets only when Auto filter has data

I have written a code which does the below steps.
1) Loops through a list of products
2) Auto filters the data with each product.
3) Copies and pastes data on to separate worksheets and names it with that product name.
4) Inserts a line at every change in schedule
The only thing I couldn't do it here is to limit separate worksheet creation only for the products available in the source data when auto filtered.
I tried to do this by adding an if condition to add worksheets by product name only if auto filter shows any data but for some reason it is not working.
I would appreciate any help in fixing this problem and clean my code to make it look better and work faster.

I would recommend you define more variables than you have it keeps the code cleaner and easier to read as well as eliminates easy errors.
I also recommend always to utilize "option explicit" at the top of every code. It forces defining all variables (when you don't define a variable the program will do it for you (assuming you haven't used option explicit), but excel doesn't always get it correct. Also option explicit helps you avoid typos in variables.
Also as a general rule you rarely if ever have to .select anything to do what you need to with vba.

While you can Range.Offset one row and check if the Range.SpecialCells method with xlCellTypeVisible is Not Nothing, I prefer to use the worksheet's SUBTOTAL function. When a worksheet that is referenced by the wsn string does not exist, the On Error GoTo bm_New_Worksheet runs off and creates one. The Resume brings the code processing right back to the place it errored out.
One caution when using this method is to ensure that you have unique, legal worksheet names returned by your VLOOKUP function.

I have been trying to copy a range of rows, with 4 columns each, to a new csv file. I want the cells to be allocated correctly. The files are shown below.
So, "Code", "Name", "Surname", "Number" cells need to be copied and pasted at the right cell of the new file.
"Code" is the equivalent "ID"
"Name" is in the 2nd column in FileA but it is in the 3d column in FileB.
"Surname " is in the 3d column in FileA but it is in the 2nd column in FileB.
So, for example the second row from FileA will be pasted in FileB as shown:

I am using this code to select the range of the rows and paste them to the new file.

I want to change the code so to create the headers in the new file and allocate the cells of each row in the right column.
UPD: My problem is that my code needs a change. In the new file, I am only getting one row and not all. As a first step, something has to change here :

and then I will need to search how to create the headers in the new csv file.
I tried modifying your code a bit, and ended up with this macro which I think does what you want, while simplifying the snippet you posted quite a bit. If I misunderstood your requirements in some way, or if there is something which needs further explanation, don't hesitate to ask.
