Where to get sybase ASE 15.x for windows 64 bit - 64-bit

where can I find setup for sybase ASE 15.x for windows 64 bit.

See this location for free download: http://scn.sap.com/community/developer-center/oltp-db

There's a 90-day evaluation version at https://www.sap.com/products/sybase-ase.html (click on 'free trial'). This is ASE 16, not 15.
The developer version is no longer being offered by SAP.

If you're a Sybase customer it should be available through the support channel/web site.

change azure virtual machine operating system from windows to ubuntu. How I can change OS?

I have problem. I need to change my microsoft azure virtual machine operating system. I had a windows vm template , so what i need to write in a code ( Json) to change OS ??? Or some other ways (portal , powershell ect) ? Thanks for help me)
P.s my English is bad i`m sorry...
Microsoft does not support an upgrade of the operating system of a Microsoft Azure virtual machine. (For more information, see KB 4014997.)
Instead, you should create a new Azure virtual machine that is running the supported version of the operating system that is required and then migrate the workload.
Instructions for how to migrate Windows Server roles and features are available in the following TechNet topic:

32-bit and 64-bit Office on the same pc - trouble with MS access database driver

I received an error while trying to execute an MS SSIS package that contained Excel source:
"The Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0 provider is not registered on the local machine".
While trying to install MS Access Database driver 64-bit, and then MS Access Database driver 32-bit, I get two conflicting errors:
"You cannot install the 64 bit version of Microsoft Access Database Engine because you have 32 bit Office Products installed"
and
"You cannot install the 32 bit version of Microsoft Access Database Engine because you have 64 bit Office Products installed"
I guess that on my pc 32-bit and 64-bit versions of office are running.
The interesting thing though is that I see that only MS office 2010 and MS office Viewer 2003 are installed on my machine and the latter through a 2007 compatibility package.
So, my question is probably two fold:
Is running the driver the proper way to solve my initial problem?
How can I overcome the situation where neither a 32-bit nor a 64-bit can be installed because there exist both 32-bit and 64-bit office versions on my pc.
Please keep in mind that I am not sure what should I uninstall. Office 2010 and MS windows viewer 2003 are running on my pc.
I came across the same conflicting error messages when installing the Access Database Engine.
Since I new I had installed a 32bit office, I installed the 32bit version of Access Database Engine with this command:
.\AccessDatabaseEngine.exe /quiet
I found this trick here: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/dataaccesstechnologies/2017/10/18/unexpected-error-from-external-database-driver-1-microsoft-jet-database-engine-after-applying-october-security-updates/
By the way, in my case one of the two error messages was also mentioning that I had installed the click to run extensibility component 64-bit registration.
only one version 32/64bit of Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable can be installed.

Firebird NET Provider and Visual Studio 2012

I've installed Firebird NETProvider and DDEXProvider on Windows 8 Enterprise (64-bit) with Visual Studio 2012 Premium successfully: I added a connection in Server Explorer and was able to see the database-objects.
However, when I install other extensions (Web Essentials, Power Tools, Resharper) I loose my previously saved connection and I'm unable to re-create it, because the Firebird NETProvider is no longer available. The same result after installing Windows updates (KB2781514), concerning a fix for VS2012.
Re-installing the NETProvider and DDEXProvider causes problems in the VS-configuration (double entries of dataproviders, etc.).
I'm unsure in using the Firebird NETProvider in a project with legacy Firebird-database) , because it seems to be unstable in VS2012.
Hopefully someone can help me.
Many thanks in advance
Dirk Schelfaut
I had the same problems after installing VS 2012 SDK. Solution: Click the Advanced button in the installer and verify whether the correct combination of VS and OS is checked. With my installation, VS 2012 (64 bit OS) was checked, but I had W7 32 bit... You also may have to check the machine.config file. After re-installing, I had several duplicate entries for the Firebird data provider. Regards, Ulli.

Setting up a sandbox dev environment for Sharepoint

I am planning to get Sharepoint (MOSS) setup on my home development workstation and one of the things I read about using virtualisation (I currently have Vista, need Windows Server) is that you can install VMs with different OS's (eg Vista, Server) or you can run one OS with the ability to do development on Sharepoint/MS CRM etc which is sandboxed (Can't effect the OS).
My pc specs: Intel Quad Core 2.4ghz, 4GB RAM, Vista 32-bit (so I can't see/use all 4gbs).
How is this usually setup?
Thanks
This article has everything you need. It covers essential post-installation tasks such as server configuration.
How to Create a MOSS 2007 VPC Image: The Whole 9 Yards
Just want to point out that there are more problems with 32-bit SharePoint than the fact that you can’t use all your memory. Read this blog post for more info. I guess you are talking about SharePoint 2007, but 2010 is around the corner and its 64-bit only (probably due to the problems described in that blog post). So I'd recommend you to do it properly and set up an x64 environment from the beginning.
Download a virtualization software. Virtual PC, Virtual Server, VMWare Server are popular and free
Install according to the instructions.
Create a virtual machine (it is usually a wizard)
Install a OS and configure manually, or you can download a use an existing virtual hard drive.
Microsoft Offers one you can use.

One option could be to copy an existing virtual image from the company network and run that image at home.
If you don't have any existing images at the company you can create one using the "physical to VM" option in VMware workstation / Virtual server and then clone an existing server.
Remember that you might need to create a library of images if you have to test code on an box with SP1, SP2, June Cumulative and so on.
this post on ServerFault is a nice guide to max the performance of the image.
I would just like to add the following to other great answers:
Use Windows 2008 Hyper-V as your host operating system. In my case it had much better performance than Vista on same machine
In case you plan to develop for SharePoint+CRM there is MS prepared virtual machine with both. Unfortunately it is available on to MBS partners. SharePoint only machine is publicly available. Both machines will expire after 30 days, but just apply your product key and you will prolong it's life for additional year.
I have installed Windows Server 2008 directly on my laptop, so no need for VMs. It's an x64 machine as well. I use SQL server 2008 as well. It's just easier than running VMs and believe me, you need the full 4 GB if you are running Vista. Just install the x64 version of Win2008 on your machine (Standard edition will do. Just use this Google query on how to set up Win 2008 just like Vista and make it the ultimate workstation!

Excel ODBC and 64 bit server

using ASP.NET I need to update an excel template.
Our server is running Windows 2008 in 64 bit mode.
I am using the following code to access the excel file:
...
string connection =
#"Provider=MSDASQL;Driver={Microsoft Excel Driver (*.xls)};DBQ=" + path + ";";
...
IF the application pool is set to Enable 32 bit applications the code works as expected; however the oracle driver I am using fails as it is only 64 bit.
If Enable 32-bit applications is set to false the excel code fails with the error:
Data source name not found and no
default driver specified
Any suggestions?
The Microsoft Office team has just released a 64-bit driver
Microsoft release a 64bit OLEDB FOR ODBC in 2008/04/04
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=000364db-5e8b-44a8-b9be-ca44d18b059b&DisplayLang=en
Now you should able to run everything 64bit, can u try it and let us know the result and personally I think Microsoft should release a 64bit Jet Oledb 4.0, if the development team has no time to do it then just put it in codeplex.com and let other programmers do it.
There is also 2010 Office System Driver Beta: Data Connectivity Components
Link which has allowed us to open Excel 2007 (XLS) from a 64bit environment.
This download will install a set of components that can be used by non-Microsoft Office applications to read data from Microsoft Office 2010 Beta files
Our connection string
#"Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0;Data Source= " + filePath + ";Extended Properties=\"Excel 12.0;HDR=YES;\""
There are no office drivers for 64bit released.
The (currently) last post at this link:
MSDN Forum details a cumbersome and ugly workaround. You could also replace the Windows Service with a COM exposed assembly, if you wish. Still ugly though. :)
Install the 32-bit Oracle driver and enable 32 bit applications?
