Recent pages navigator in JSF? - jsf

I have an interesting idea to implement - I would like to create kind of "history" for user made of recent pages like:
Link1 - Link2 - Link3 - Link4 - Link5
There should be (0-5) links available.
I use only one xhtml page, displaying documents. Lets name it document.xhtml.
For every document.xhtml i attach its id to display, e.g. document.xhtml?id=4.
There are links in each document that leads to another documents (hence the idea).
There is a catch. (or rather catches)
When opening a document link in new tab, current page history should be copied to new history and then work separately in new tab.
When clicking a link from "recent pages navigator", navigator should be "cut" to clicked page position.
It would be best done by not passing parameters in urls.
I cant modify document content urls, leading to another documents. These are displayed from plain HTML.
As I use Primefaces breadcrumb to display pages history. I tried to use FlashScope to pass parameters between pages but only using postconstruct annotation. Simmilar i tried to store breadcrumb models in sessionScoped bean, but then it turned into a problem with model identification without "tabScope" identifier.
I don't ask how to resolve this on for me, but for general directions, what jsf elements should I use.
Any "how to approach this problem" will be appreciated.
=EDIT=
Thanks to #BalusC
So far #ConversationScopes seems good to me, but I still have a problem passing data to a new tab. Any ideas here?

Accessing properties across pages in AEM HTL (Sightly)

I have a carousel component, whose slide content will be the content from another page, accessed via reference component. I want to get some properties authored in the carousel to be accessible inside the referenced page. i.e. I have Page A- with a Carousel accessing PageB through reference component. I want to get proeprties from PageA in PageB. Can this be achieved?
Sure it can, you will need to lookup/query the content and find pages where PageB is included, then get the properties of those pages (there might be more than one) and merge them. It will have to be custom code though as this is not available out-of-the-box as of AEM 6.3.
The solution could be adding a query parameter or setting a request parameter. But then again, this depends on the requirement. For me, this worked!!

Saving a view in JSF

Im having a question regarding retrieving the view state of a JSF page.
I have an application in which the user is able to search for persons in a
list and when the user press "show" button the same JSF page will be filled
with a list of the various persons.
Now when I choose one of the persons , another JSF page will show up with more
in-depth and detailed information about that person. Now in that page there is a
"cancel/abort" button displayed. What I want to accomplish is that when I press
that specific "cancel/abort" button the page should be redirected and navigate
back to the JSF page with the list as it was shown, so in some way the "view state"
should be stored (I assume only) but I dont know how it could be done...
I just wanted to check if anyone has been able to solve this kind of issue
in some manner.. ? (The JSF search page as mentioned above is declared as a viewscoped as
an additional information)
Thanks for all help..
You could make the bean #SessionScoped. That means that only one instance will be created by browser session, so when you get back you get the last state.
Of course, session scoped means that when you get back to the view even if it is not a "back" navigation, that info will still be there.

In XPages Mobile App / Mobile Control, how to make picklist

The in built type ahead is missing the dojo tundra.css file when using the single page app control. This file comes with Dojo its just not being included. Import this file to get the type ahead to work.
I'm unsure as to what you mean about passing value from one page to another, you can submit data to a document and open it in another page, add it to a scoped variable, add a parameter to the URL. All of these options will work.
Have a look at my blog post on this topic. There are a couple of gotchas to get around, most notably, ensuring the the page with your document datasource gets recalculated at the correct time. I'm working on a NotesIn9 on it.
Part 3 covers a couple of amendments to get it working with existing documents and includes a sample page that will work in the Extension Library Demo db. Note the extra view that needs to be created and other details in Part Two.

Change the action when clicking on a list item

I would like to change the destination URL when clicking on a list item / item title so it will no send me to view the item but will send me to a different URL base on the item.
I am not looking to replace the Links list but to use the list title as URL query filter.
Thanks
You will need to do it using the custom Page / Customize the View Page in the SharePoint Designed. Please refer to this article on how you can achieve it using the SPGridView control
I'm not totally clear on what you'd like to do (maybe screenshot mock ups would help?), but here's some general advice.
If you want to change the behaviour of a control then investigate the properties of the control as kusek has suggested. If the properties don't do what you need then try overriding the control to change what is rendered.
If the above doesn't work out or you want to change how these links render no matter where they appear on the page, then you need to look at a page-level solution. The most common are jQuery that can dynamically replace the URLs with JavaScript, or an HTTP module which is much more low level and will actually alter the HTML rendered to the page.
Hope this helps.

Using a MulitpleLookupField in MOSS '07 Layout Page

I have a page layout for my MOSS '07 site that I want put a MultipleLookupField in. The field will point to a multiple lookup column in my custom content type that points back to the pages library so I can have a "Related Articles" field.
I've gotten the field to show up correctly--it's even editable when the page is in edit mode! But when you click on the link that shows up there, it display the page's properties view instead of the page itself.
There's lots of properties on the control, but there's little documentation at MSFT as to what they do.
Does anyone know how to change the link's URL to the actual page instead of the properties view?
Here's the tag I'm using:
<SharePointWebControls:MultipleLookupField
ID="MultipleLookupField1"
FieldName="RelatedIssues"
runat="server"></SharePointWebControls:MultipleLookupField>
The link takes me to here: /Pages/Forms/DispForm.aspx?ID=6&RootFolder=*
I want it to take me here: /Pages/faq1.aspx
Unfortunately the lookup control is designed to be compatible with generic lists and does not understand that the document libraries have a file with a specific url associated.
You will probably have to find a custom lookup control on the web or roll your own.
