Visual Studio Express 2015 for Web - IIS/Developer Web Server - iis

I have two questions about servers of VS Express 2015 for Web
First at all, it's dissappeared an option for change from IIS server to native Developer Web Server from project options. Is it due to Express version or could I install it?
Second problem is with URLs of IIS server. I didn't change default settings but my url:
http://localhost:51734/PROJECT_FOLDER/SUBFOLDER/PAGE.aspx
trims into
/SUBFOLDER/PAGE.aspx
I know somewhere in IIS settings I can customize the URL, but I want my URL without changes.
EDIT: I should say it trims SOMETIMES into that URL

How to use IIS Express 10?

I have installed IIS 10 On my Windows 10 PC but after installation I cannot find the application either in start menu or if I make a search for it.
I have tried to go to C:\Program files\IIS Express\ but can't understand anything there
I want to see the files of a website.
First you have to understand the difference between iis and iis express. IIS express would only be used by people who don't have access to IIS or want something that is lighter than IIS but more like IIS than Cassini. IIS 7 ships with the operating system and is tightly integrated to Windows. more information you can refer to this link:

If you are installing IIS 10(not iis express), then you can find it in the start menu. If you can’t find it, you may have a problem with the installation. you can refer to the following article on how to install iis. If it is iis express, then you can use it in visual studio.

Visual Studio 2013 Asp.net Razor v3 website unable to host to IIS windows 7.5

I am trying to host a asp.net razor v3 website to IIS, but it is not working. I tried multiple options including first creating the website then publishing to IIS, or directly creating a new website under IIS using visual studio 2013. It gives me HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable.
Methods to reproduce Error:
Option 1
1) Create a new asp.net web site (razor v3) in visual 2013, and click publish to publish to a directory. Then, add that directory as a website in IIS.
Option 2
1) On the new website window, in visual studio 2013, go to browse and select IIS, and create a virtual directory directory under IIS to save the site.
Then, go to the browser and try to access the hosted site: localhost/sitename, it always produces some kind of errors. Like 503. What am I missing? Please help, looks like I am missing some steps or some configuration changes.
Also, I am trying this with the default razor v3 webiste content and without modifying anything. So, I have not touched any files or anything, I am just trying to upload to IIS.
The correct answer I found was that for some reason you must use the IIS Express 8.5 to test/host that site.
Even the installations on the fresh copies of Windows with Full IIS prior to version 8 did not work on my test machines.

The web server does not appear to have FrontPage Server Extensions installed : visual studio 2012 iis express

I'm using visual studio 2012 and i have a windows form app. the iis express server is configured by default with visual studio 2012.
I have to publish my windows form app. For that, i have create a storege object on azure platform.
But when i try to publish the project using clickonce i have that issue :
Error 83 The Web server does not appear to have FrontPage Server Extensions installed. If FrontPage Server Extensions are installed, this error can occur because the _vti_bin virtual directory is not marked as executable. To correct this problem, run Internet Information Services Manager, select the Web server that has the problem, and then use the Check Server Extensions command.

I had no issue during the creation of my storage object on azure, and the URL is good !
I have installed de FrontPage Server Extension several times and normally it's good.
i really need to publish my project, if someone can help me ...
Thanks for help.
You are trying to do HTTP publish to a server that doesn't have FPSE installed. FPSE was no longer available after Server 2008 (I'm guessing here, I just know it's not available for newer versions of Windows Server).
Instead of doing HTTP, use FTP. So you FTP the files to the web server, and use an HTTP link for the customer to access them.
For example, your publishing file location might be
ftp://myserver.com/myfolder/
and your installation URL would be something like
http://myserver/thefolder/

disable IIS Express?

Just migrated to VS2012 and having this issue. I need to develop against real IIS server (to be able to debug web services when they called from network devices)
Having issues with "IIS Express started on same port", etc. But there seems to be no IIS Manager for Express? How do I control and configure it?
I'd rather fall back to real IIS
Register asp.net
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\aspnet_regiis.exe -i
Open Project-> Right Click Select Properties-> Select Web Tab-> Select Use Local IIS Web Server & uncheck the Use IIS Express checkbok -> Specify Project Url
To uninstall IIS Express via Windows 10
Go to Settings -> Apps and features -> Select IIS Express -> Uninstall
Note: IIS Express is packaged with Visual Studio installation (if you have selected to develop ASP.NET Web applications). I DO NOT KNOW if uninstalling IIS Express will have undesirable repercussions in your VS IDE.
I would just follow the instructions above rather than completely uninstalling IIS Express.
Cheers!

ASP Net MVC 3 Application and IIS / IIS Express on windows 7 64 Bit

I have an MVC3 web application - it is a set of controllers and views without any DB access at the moment.
In the properties for the WEB App (in vs2010 Sp1) If I select
Use Visual Studio Development Server defaulting to a port 10905 then the app works great from an f5
If Instead I use local IIS WebServer with Use IIS Express ticked my project url is http://localhost:10905/ and the app works great.
But if I use local IIS WebServer with Use IIS Express NOT ticked my project url is
http://localhost/TunnelRats then f5 does not work - I literally get a browser popping up with no content displayed just the url address populated.
I created the virtual Directory (using the create directory button) and looked in the IIS Manager
The IIS Manager uses pool ASP.NET v4.0 which has enable 32 bit apps set to true and an integrated pipeline mode.
If I browsse directly from the virtual directory I get the same problem.
Its seems my IIS has a problem where my IIS express does not have a problem running my MVC 3 app.
I used aspnet_regiis -iru to reinstal v4 into IIS with no effect.
Any Ideas
thanks
Martin
might be that you do not have dynamic content enabled on you IIS.
Easiest way to set up IIS for asp.net this days is to use Web Platform Installer
