I'm wondering if this is just my ReSharper setup, but as of updating to Visual Studio 2015 with ReSharper Ultimate 9.1.3, using the Shift+Alt+L shortcut while editing a .resx in the designer does nothing.
Has anybody else experienced this, and is there any config that will get this working or is it a bug?

This was caused (for me anyway) because my keyboard mapping had magically changed back to UK mapping from US (I want US).
The other day I had another issue that caused Resharper key mappings to go awry and followed some advice on another post (I can't find it at the moment) that want along the lines of:
Open Tools > Options > Keyboard and hit Reset
Open Resharper > Options > Keyboard & Menus, select "Visual Studio" and hit "Apply Scheme"
This should wrest control from Resharper back to Visual Studio and give Resharper the freedom it needs to wrest control back from VS.. ugh, but it worked

Tools (in Menu) -> Options -> Keyboard -> goto input Show commands containing and type SolutionExplorer.SyncWithActiveDocument. Goto Press Shortcut Keys and press Shift + Alt + L click on Assign button.
You may get a warning that the shortcut is already in use.

This started happening for me in Visual Studio 2019 but does not happen in 2017. I cannot figure out how to stop it.
Something I do all the time is make use of Resharper's reformatting. Suppose I have little block of code like this:
Scan = scan;
Target = target;
IsDone = true;
ShouldAlign = false;
I want to align it up to look all nice and neat. So I select my block of code and I either use the menu or a keyboard shortcut to invoke Resharper's autoformat to line up the equals signs. Voila! Looks great, Here is the reformatted code, exactly as it appears, right after I've reformatted. Note the code is still selected:
But then all I have to do is I click anywhere else in the whitespace of that document, and Boom! Everything gets undone
It is as if VS2019 runs its own "Format Selection" command when I click away But I never did that. (but if I manually do, it has the same effect)
However if instead of just clicking away on the whitespace I, click the menu area of Visual Studio and then click the document whitespace, no problem. No reformat.
Just now I've just finished comparing Visual Studio 2017 and 2019 editing settings side-by-side next to each other. I've compared every single edit/formatting/spacing setting I can possibly find. Both Visual Studio's and Resharper's. They are identical except in those few cases where VS 2019 has some new setting that 2017 did not.
This still happens even when all of VS2019's "automatically format" settings are off
I'm asking the same question of the Resharper folks but I think it has to do with the interaction of the two.
Is anyone else seeing anything like this? It's driving me nuts.
After several hours of this, I have finally discovered that that problem was neither Visual Studio nor Resharper. It was actually a THIRD extension I use (also very common) for C++ files called Visual Assist".
VA has its own "format after paste" option. I am guessing that it must detect the reformat/click away as a "paste" operation and it reformats it according to Visual Studio's settings.
Once I disabled that in single, Visual Assist option VS2019 (as I apparently already had in 2017) everything worked well.
Yesterday, resharper randomly uninstalled after I had VS crash, after re-installing, nothing works correctly. I have reset VS's default key bindings and then enabled resharper's. When I first use a resharper shortcut, a menu pops up as expected asking me to select whether or not to use the resharper versions of shortcuts. I say yes and select apply to all resharper shortcuts. This is where the strangeness begins. Here at work we use code cleanup a lot (ctrl+e, ctrl+f), but ever since the crash and reinstall, I cannot use this shortcut. It recognizes the ctrl+e and opens up recent files and doesn't wait for the ctrl+f part of the shortcut. Thoughts?
Seems like you applied "IDEA/ReSharper 2.x" keymap scheme. Please reset keymaps once again and then apply "Visual Studio" keymap scheme here ReSharper | Options | Environment | Keyboard & Menus.
By the way, a default Code Cleanup shortcut in "Visual Studio" scheme is "Ctrl+E, Ctrl+C", not "ctrl+e, ctrl+f" you mentioned
The default IntelliJ / Android Studio "Redo" action shortcut is CTRL+Shift+Z and this is a common problem for Windows users.
A bigger problem is CTRL+Y is mapped to the "Delete line" action - and this causes the undo stack to be lost.
To solve this issue, how can the "Redo" shortcut be changed to CTRL+Y in IntelliJ?
Open Settings (press CTRL+ALT+S)
Click Keymap on the left list.
There is a combobox that contains keymaps. Select one of them (default means IntelliJ of course. We can't change any of pre-defined keymap however we can copy, edit and then use the edited one. So) we should copy "default" to change only redo mapping.
Give a new name to your copied keymap.
Right click on:
Main Menu -> Edit -> Redo to click "Add Keyboard Shortcut"
Press CTRL+Y
Click OK
Click "Remove" to "the shortcut is already assigned to other actions. Do you want to remove other assignments?"
If you want to use any "remove line" shortcut also, then go to delete line shortcut and give to it any other shortcut (like 5th step)
Click OK to close settings window.
Change the keymap setting to the Visual Studio, Eclipse, or NetBeans preset.
The settings window can be found under File > Settings. CTRL+ALT+S should work if the shortcut hasn't been changed. In the settings window you should find Keymap under the Appearance & Behavior settings list.
You can configure each editor command to a key combo that you like (as #ismail yavuz mentioned) such as for Redo to CTRL+Y or you can just change the Keymap setting to an editor that you are used to. This might be best if you are in the process of switching to IntelliJ as it is probably the path of least resistance. The default settings for the Visual Studio, Eclipse, and NetBeans keymaps all map Redo to CTRL+Y.
The Principle of least astonishment is strangely violated for Windows users but at least shortcuts is customizable. Because of this command being so contrary to the Windows experience I decided it wasn't worth learning the IntelliJ keyboard when anywhere you're working at you need to, you can quickly change. There are almost no drawbacks to not learning the IntelliJ. Remember that in the keymap menu you can search for a command in the search box or click on the magnifying glass on the right to search by key combo.
Of course neither answer is wrong. Chose your preference.
I am new to Android studio, it seems to be great IDE. But I have found that it has really strange key and shortcut mapping. I am using Czech keyboard.
When I try to type ">" by pressing Right ALT + . the symbol is not appearing, and I got message box that says "Go to custom Region. There are no custom foldings regions in the current file."
It is really strange behaviour, I have problem with writing many more characters like brackets,..... I tried to set keymap profiles to Visual Studio and more. But nothing seems to work. I didn't have any of these problems in any other IDE (Netbeans, Eclipse, Visual Studio, Xamarin)

Yes, well... its problem with "old" keyboards. Newer keyboards don't have Alt Gr keys and IDE doesn't count on this in default.
Solutions:
Buy a new keyboard with no Alt Gr on it (using right Alt instead of Alt Gr is working for me)
Go to File -> Settings -> Keymap and search for implementation - delete Ctrl + Alt + B, hit "Apply" and you can now use this shortcut for "{"
As already mentioned below... add following line to ..\<Android Studio folder>\bin\idea.properties:
actionSystem.force.alt.gr=true
(update) Since newer version of AS (not sure which one, should be 2.3.3+), you don't need to manually access the properties file. Go to Help -> Edit Custom Properties and add actionSystem.force.alt.gr=true there.
Go to Preferences -> Keymap and choose Mac OS X as Keymaps.
I have been a long time Visual Studio user, so wanted to leverage all the keyboard shortcuts that I had picked up using Visual Studio.
On Android Studio, I first changed the Keymap to be Visual Studio. You can do this by using Alt+F7 on Windows and then search for Keymap.
By using the Visual Studio Keymap in Android studio, I got only debug related mapping, which was still a minority of what I use in Visual Studio.
So went ahead and added/modified some more mappings.

As for '>' sign (AltGr + .) and Android Studio 1.0.1, go to File>Settings, choose Keymap in IDE Settings section, search for "GotoCustomRegion" item (it is located in MainMenu-Navigate) and remove its mapping (via context menu).
If you're using macOS newest versions and have had weird behavior with the shortcuts, try this:
Go to Android Studio -> Preferences -> Keymap
Now change from "Mac OS X" to "Mac OS X 10.5+" and hit apply.
In Visual Studio 2012 the find and replace window has Docking alignment to the top right side, how to release it?
The "quick find" window isn't docked in the usual sense. Press Esc to dismiss it and also make the yellow-orange search result highlighting go away.
Alternatively, click the X in the top right of the mini window.
Edit.Find = docked Find window
Edit.Replace = docked Replace window
Edit.FindinFiles = undocked Find window
Edit.ReplaceinFiles = undocked Replace window
so for undocked windows you can press Ctrl + Shift + F or Ctrl + Shift + H
or alternatively change shortcuts in Options > Environment > Keyboard to reach desired windows easier.
This is not possible unfortunately, which really drives me nuts when trying to find something in a minified file (single line) since the find window commonly blocks the found result.

The best solution I can find is copy and past file into notepad and find there (for my needs).
In Visual Studio 2012 all docked windows can be released as follows;
Docked Window's Header right click menu (or click Window Position Icon what located the far right of the header)> Float menu
If the usual things, as already suggested, won't work, here are two other ideas I have found to work with oddities in Visual Studio.
Disable all plugins and try again (had a weird case of VS crashing on Ctrl+S and it was a faulty plugin)
Try a repair on the install, could have some faulty files.
