Console Application Execution - visual-studio-2012

I created a console application using Visual Studio 2012. It(EXE from Release folder) runs on the computer in which Visual Studio 2012 is installed, but it doesn't run on another computer which doesn't have Visual Studio 2012.

Unable to Open Windows 8 app samples. Is it because I'm using Visual Studio 2012 Express?

I downloaded the Windows 8 app samples (C#) from here: http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowsapps/Windows-8-app-samples-4d76cbbf
I'm trying to open them with Visual Studio 2012 Express 2012 for Windows Phone and I'm getting the following error window:
The complete text of which is here:
Unsupported
This version of Visual Studio does not have the following
project types installed or does not support them. You can still open
these projects in the version of Visual Studio in which they were
originally created.
- AccelerometerCS, "C:\Users\Me\Desktop\Windows 8 app samples\C#\Windows 8 app samples\Accelerometer sensor sample (Windows
8)\C#\AccelerometerCS.csproj"
No changes required
These projects can be opened in this version of
Visual Studio without changing them. They will continue to open in
Visual Studio 2010 SP1 and in this version of Visual Studio.
- AccelerometerCS, "C:\Users\Me\Desktop\Windows 8 app samples\C#\Windows 8 app samples\Accelerometer sensor sample (Windows
8)\C#\AccelerometerCS.sln"
Is there something I can do to load these samples that doesn't involve me buying the full Visual Studio 2012?
The Express versions of Visual Studio are targeted to support specific platforms only.
The version for Windows Phone will only open Windows Phone projects.
To open Windows [8] projects you'll need the appropriate version of Visual Studio Express which is available from http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/eng/downloads#d-2013-preview

Adding Windows Phone 8 SDK on PreInstalled Visual Studio 2012

I have Visual Studio 2012 Installed previously, now I want to add the Windows Phone 8.0SDK to my visual studio 2012.
When I head on to the msdn website to get the sdk, the installer installs SDK and Visual Studio 2012 Express.
I just want the SDK on VS2012. How can I do this ?
The latest Windows Phone SDK should notice that you already have VS2012 and only add the required bits.
The Windows Phone SDK provides a stand-alone Visual Studio Express
2012 edition for Windows Phone or works as an add-in to Visual
Studio 2012 Professional, Premium or Ultimate editions.
Download it here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35471

Visual Studio 2012 Unable to Create dot42 Project

After running through the installation of dot42, and specifying both Visual Studio 2010 integration as well as Visual Studio 2012 integration, I'm unable to find a 'dot42' project in 2012. In 2010 the new dot42 subcategory opens under C# and I'm able to see the project types to create.
I noticed that dot42 installs its dlls in the Extensions folder, and looking at the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE\Extensions folder, the dot42 files are there, just as they are under Visual Studio 10.0.
Why can't I create a dot42 project in Visual Studio 2012?
I updated dot42 from version 1.0.0.69 to 1.0.0.70 and the problem has been resolved. I can now create Visual Studio 2012 dot42 projects.

Can I use the Visual Studio 2010 remote debugger on Windows XP to debug a .Net 4.0 app from Visual Studio 2012?

Can I use the Visual Studio 2010 remote debugger on Windows XP to debug a .Net 4.0 app from Visual Studio 2012?
I am trying to, here is a screenshot of my XP machine (I have disabled the local firewall temporarily):
Here is Visual Studio 2012 (the text in the remote machine box is identical to the server name indictaed by the Visual Studio remote debugger):
When I try to debug, I get this error:
If I change the computer name to anything else, I get this error:
Is being able to debug .Net 4.0 apps remotely from Visual Studio 2012 on Windows XP wishful thinking on my part or should this work?
Just to give some background, we have some .Net 4.0 code running on Windows 7 ok, but crashing under XP. I understand that the .Net 4.5 compiler is an in place upgrade of the 4.0 compiler, and if you have a bug in .Net 4.0 which has been fixed in 4.5, your 4.0 code will compile fine because you are using the more up to date, fixed compiler, but you may get runtime issues on actual .Net 4.0 machines. I suspect this may be the case and wish to test it out.
And we have to use Visual Studio 2012, I don't make the rules!
The MSDN blog tells us (2012 Oct 8) that there is no support for remote debugging from VS 2012 to XP:
Remote Debugging
The Remote Tools for Visual Studio 2012 do not support remote debugging on an XP client. When debugging on Windows XP is required, it is recommended to use the debuggers of an older version of Visual Studio, such as Visual Studio 2010, for local or remote debugging. This is in line with the Windows Vista experience for Visual Studio 2012 RTM, which is a runtime target but not a remote debugging target.

Visual Studio 2012: Can I start a .NET 4.5 application in a remote debugger (and not only attach)?

Platform:
* Visual Studio 2012
* C# WPF application
* Visual Studio 2012 remote debugger tools.
My .NET 4.5 application on a 64-bit system crashes at an very early stage. I have the Visual Studio 2012 remote debugging running on the (remote) 64-bit system. I can connect from my development computer with Visual Studio 2012, all fine.
My problem is that I need to attach to a process in order to remotely debug. Before I can attach to the process, the application has crashed. Basically I want to set my breakpoints in the very first lines of the WainWindow.xaml.cs (it is an WPF application).
Is there a chance to start the application remotely and directly attach to the process?
