MainPage of XAML is not loading Designer - app.xaml

when I click Mainpage.xaml I get this problem:
Designer could not be started because of a permissions issue on the
drive to which it is installed. Please check the permissions of the
folder before trying to start the designer.
Can anyone give solution for that using snapshots?

you can look at this post for answer.
You can also try to run Visual Studio as Administrator ansd when it asks for permission to run the designer click ok and wait.

Visual Studio Code - Azure Functions - New Project button disappeared

So I have been messing around trying to create an Azure Function using Visual Studio code. Frustrated enough to start all over and now according to Microsoft, to create a new project, I have to click the Azure icon on the left hand side and click New Project:
That being said, I don't have it anymore somehow:
Somebody please advise. I'm going crazy here trying to make it reappear.
For me, this option was buried in the sidebar menu in vscode as pictured below. I was not able to get the icons to reappear (I'm on an Apple Silicon machine).
1.Try to uninstall Azure Function Extension.
2.Restart Visual Studio Code.
3.Install the extension again.
The documentation on how to create New Azure Function Project in Visual Studio Code appears to be out of date. I found the solution in the store page of the extension. Open the 'Azure' extension, go to Workspace, click the plus, create function. Proceed as normal as per the MS Docs. Uninstalling did not work for me as #bala suggested.
Yeah, I did not had the button to create a new local Azure function.
I uninstalled Azure function plugin and after the refresh the button appeared. When I clicked the button, it informed me that I need to have Functions plugin installed. Then I reinstalled the plug-in and the button disappeared.
Restarting and Updating VSC fixed the issue.

WIX in VS 2012 Menu and Commands missing

I just installed WIX 3.10 and I'm using VS 2012 Ultimate. I have then successfully added a WIX setup project to my solution but that's about as far as I can go because the WIX menu is not showing up. The commands buttons that should appear at the top of the solution explorer window does not appear, neither does the shortcut button that appears just below the 'clean' button when you right click the project. I have tried uninstalling and restarting my PC several times but still the same.
snap shot of the solution explorer window.
I'm obviously missing something, but what? Thanks very much.
The designer you're looking for is from a 3rd party commercial product:
https://www.add-in-express.com/wix-designer/index.php
Normally one would write most Wix files by hand. It's relatively simple XML and the documentation isn't bad.
You can install the extension: Tools -> Extensions and Updates
Then in the search box type 'wix' and Enter.
The extension name is 'Designer for Visual Studio Wix Setup Projects':

Publishing Applications With Visual Studio

I would like to be able to publish an application and have it so that someone could navigate to a website and download a setup executable. Then when they run that executable it would download and install all the associated applications that work with my application.
Is it possible to have visual studio publish it to do this?
Or do I have to program an custom setup application.
It seems that there are options for this in the publish section of the project properties.
But I can't seem to find out exactly what everything does.
There is an updates button in the publish tab that I would like someone to explain how that works as well.
It looks like ClickOnce will work for you.
ClickOnce is a Microsoft technology that enables the user to install
and run a Windows-based smart client application by clicking a link in
a web page.

You can try Windows Installer XML (WiX) Toolset

TF30063: You are not authorized to access after change from TFS2010 to TFS2012

I am working with VS2012 and TFS2012. Before I have worked with VS2010 and TFS2010 and my
credential was stored in the Credential Manager. Everything works fine and the shift to
TFS2012 and VS2012 was successful. The VS2012 used the old settings in the Credential Manager.
The Admin has now changed my access to TFS with new username and pswd. After deleting my old
credentials and login via VS2012 I get the Error
"TF30063: You are not authorized to access..."
Does anyone have an idea why this might be? Mabe are the permission on TFS2012 not correct?
The Admin said, that the permission are not changed and that they have the same settings as in
TFS2012.
Thanks in advance for every hint.
Best regards.
Most people probably get this error with visual studio. Example in vs 2013, team explorer tab - click on
Select Team Projects -> Select a Team Foundation Server
You should get prompted to login. If you had cancelled a login prompt, this is your chance to enter the credentials again.
For Visual Studio 2012
Team Explorer -> Connect to Team Projects (plug icon) -> Team Foundation Service -> Connect
For Visual Studio 2015
Team Explorer --> Connect to Team Projects (plug icon) --> Manage Connections --> Connect to Team Foundation Server
thanks to Assaf Stone for the hint, to set my comment to a answer, so that everybody can find the solution.
So if anybody run into this issue, I hope this will help you:
"After a while searching on internet I found the solution under following link
TFS 2012 – Issue: TF30063: You are not authorized to access and can’t trace permissions
A global deny on TFS was defined for my account and the deny takes precedence over any other permission."
Best regards.
My fix was "clear the package cache", it can be found here:
1 - Open VS
2 - Go to Tools-> Options
3 - Open "NuGet Package Manager" and select General
4 - Click in the button: "clear the package cache"
Cheers.
Simply delete whole cache in Internet Explorer did it for me.
I just received the "You are not authorized error" when trying to login via Visual Studio 2012. As #hfrmobile stated, going into Internet Explorer and clearing the entire cache worked perfectly.
You can also try restarting TFSTray, not Team Foundation Server Best Practices Analyzer.
You will have to cycle through all the TFSTray options that you may have available. In my case, I had to cycle TFSTray1 and TFSTray.
Windows (button) > type TFS > cycle throught the options, like the image below:
You could have issues with files that are locked. You must use your explorer to changed from locked to write.
These steps worked for me.
Close Visual Studio 2017
Open Visual Studio 2017 again

Insufficient privileges when updating help files in Visual Studio 2012

I have Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate and I've downloaded the Visual Studio 2012 ISO from MSDN.
When trying to install the documentation:
I open Visual Studio as an Administrator
Follow these instructions as per the install's ReadMe file
On the menu bar for Visual Studio 2012, choose Help, Add and Remove
Help Content.
Help Viewer 2.0 starts, showing the Manage Content tab.
On the Manage Content tab, choose the Disk option button, choose the
Browse (…) button, and then navigate to the DVD drive.
Choose the helpcontentsetup.msha file, and then choose the Open button.
Under Available Documentation, the list of available content sets from the
DVD appears.
Choose the Add link next to the content set that you want
to install onto your local computer.
The items that you specify appear
in the Pending Changes column. You can remove an item from the Pending
Changes column by choosing the “X” next to the item.
Choose the Update button.
And click Update.
When I click Update, it progresses for about 3-4 seconds, and then it fails with an error:
The following errors occurred while performing the requested tasks:
An error occurred while updating content. You have insufficient
privileges to complete this task.
How can I resolve this issue?
Update
I'm running Help Viewer in Admin mode.
try this. It solved my problem.
change security permission of vs2012doc.iso to full control for your account.
Mount it
Install the documentation ONE BY ONE. Remember ONE BY ONE.
Might it help...
Change your machine date and try again. In my case work with "oct/01/2012".
This was using the Visual Studio 2013 but is likely to be similar to the help of Visual Studio 2012 and probably 2015. I have not tried it so you tell me.
I got the ISO with the help of vs2013 to Microsoft directly. Now I do not remember the address so I did not put it here. It is very easy to get around with google looking for.
When I'm using the Microsoft Help Viewer 2.1 with local installation way I get an error: Insufficient Privileges and not the books are installed.
What I will describe is possible for you to do so more easily. But I could not validate it and then they describe the steps I followed to do so.
The first thing I did was copy the entire contents of the ISO to a folder on my HDD for my comfort my case was in C:\T
With the command prompt navigate to the folder where it was copied from the iso content and the C:\T\Packagesrun the following winrar t * .cab
This causes a test winrar make all cab files and protest whenever any of them is corrupt.
This was to score those files that had to go down again, in my case only had a .cab file with problems
v2Visual_Studio_2011_NET_Framework_4_B1545_VS_100_en-us_13(b0ba5cce-2b72-f582-80f3-8a6165ef6b9b).cab
The following was download it directly from Microsoft in this direction,

http://packages.mtps.microsoft.com/v2Visual_Studio_2011_NET_Framework_4_B1545_VS_100_en-us_13(b0ba5cce-2b72-f582-80f3-8a6165ef6b9b).cab
All other packages I think are there too.
The next thing was to replace the damaged file with the new and final step is to go into the folder where the files of the Visual Studio Help are, in my case I always use to put this folder in a comfortable place for me.
D:\VS_2012_2013_HLP\VisualStudio12
Inside this folder there are other two \Incoming\Cab, we must ensure that the cab folder is completely empty.
The last thing is to enter the Microsoft Help Viewer 2.1 and say that the new power plant is one where we copy the contents of the ISO (D:\T\helpcontentsetup.msha). The rest is just install the books ..
