How can I see errors throwing from unhandled exceptions in android studio? In ADT pulgin for Eclipse, it shows these errors in logcat.
In Android Studio you can check the log cat by using shortcut ALT+6 or click on View and than click Tool Windows and than click on Android ( ALT+6 ) and now you can also use logcat in android studio and check all the errors .

Don't check the Enable new Logcat tool window at the end.
I'm using a MacBook for the first time.
I had Android Studio 4.0 or 4.1 (I think) installed. It used to show me all the icons in the Touch Bar like the green run icon and the debug icons so I could use them directly from there. Even when in debug mode I used to get all the icons for stepping over or stepping into code.
After that I updated Android Studio 2-3 times and I am currently on Android Studio 4.2.1 and it has stopped showing any of the Touch Bar icons for Android Studio since the first time I updated. There are times when debugging that the debugging icons show for a while and then suddenly disappear. I'm facing this issue only with Android Studio.
According to another answer online, I am supposed to have a folder for Touch Bar (Settings) under Android Studio: Preferences > Menu and Toolbars but I don't have and folder for Touch Bar Settings there.
Can any one help me resolve this issue?
Thanks

To resolve this issue, revert any customizations you have made to those buttons as follows:
Select File > Settings (or Android Studio > Preferences on macOS).
On the left of the window, navigate to Appearance & Behavior > Menus and Toolbars.
On the right side of the window, navigate to Main Toolbar > Toolbar Run Actions and select Run/Debug.
Near the top of the window, click Revert. and select Restore Run/Debug.
Click OK. You should now see the missing buttons in the toolbar.
Open Terminal and type the following commands:
mkdir -p ~/Library/Frameworks/nst.framework/
cd ~/Library/Frameworks/nst.framework/
ln -s path/to/android/studio/install/Contents/bin/libnst64.dylib nst
This issue has been resolved after I upgraded to
Android Studio Arctic Fox | 2020.3.1
Build #AI-203.7717.56.2031.7583922
An interesting thing about Android Studio Artic Fox is that it has changed the versioning scheme to match that of it's parent product, the Intellij IDEA 2020.3.1. So rather than Android Studio 4.3 it is now Android Studio 2020.3.1 with code name Artic Fox. This will keep the versioning schemes systematic.
There are a lot of cool feature updates too.

The gradle window is missing in the android studio for my flutter project but it is available for my Kotlin project.
I have to generate the signing certificate SHA-1 to register my app in Firebase.
Here is how you find the gradle section in Android Studio for a Flutter-Project:
Open the build.gradle file in app/src/
There should appear a small bar at the top of the code-editor and click Open for Editing in Android Studio
A new window will open, showing the option for opening the gradle section in the side-panel, as expected.
This answer is giving you a quite extensive explanation for then generating the SHA1-fingerprint.
The problem for Android Studio is that the android(gradle)-project is not top-level.
You can right-click on project- or android-folder, select Flutter->'Open Android module in Android Studio' .
After that the gradle-tab appears on the right and you can use it as intended.
I am trying to open android studio but intellij is shown instead, i have searched for answers but they are irrelevant, what to do?
I've upgraded Android Studio from 0.8.* to 1.0.0 RC2 and finally 1.0. Somewhere between the RC2 and 1.0 Android Studio seems to have lost most of its references to the Android SDK.
Some indicators of this are:
All Android SDK tools have disappeared from the toolbar
No longer possible to attach the debugger or run apps from within Android Studio
In 'Project Structure', the SDKs list shows a list of previously added SDKs but when pressing '+' to add an SDK it only allows me to add JDKs.
In 'Project Structure', the previously added SDKs show "Unknown SDK home path" with a path to the location of the Android SDK. Editing the field with the '...' gives me a "Select Home Directory for Unknown SDK" and pointing to an Android SDK location and pressing OK shows a warning dialog saying "The selected directory is not a valid home for Unknown SDK".
The 'android' facet is an unknown facet type
How do I make Android Studio recognize the Android SDK again?
After a few hours of research (uninstalling and re-installing) I worked out how to fix it but still I don't know how it happened.
These are the steps:
Close your current project
Go to Settings
Click on Plugins
Enable Android Support
Follow the wizard
If you are on Windows, you can right-click the toolbar, and select Customize Menus and Toolbars -> Main Toolbars -> Android.MainToolBarActionGroup. You can also select the SDK Manager and AVD Manager from the Main menu.
