I'm in the process of developing an app for iPhone, using PhoneGap, and I'm using the PhoneGap developer tools provided for iPhone, that ports the built app to my local iPhone using a node server.
This was all work, and then without any apparent reason it suddenly stopped. Here's a screenshot.
It just hangs at this screen.
How many files in www folder have your project?
I had same problem when running phonegap serve.
I used bower to install my packages, and I noticed if I removed the folders of some of my project dependencies serve resumed to work again. One of my packages had more than 100 files (I needed only 2).
I made a cleanup and solved the problem.
I hope it helps.

Ive scoured to web with no avail..
noob here as well... sorry im still learning
App Dependencies are all out of date... I honestly dont know how to go about updating them yet
System Meteor version is 2.9.1
App Meteor version is 1.4.4.1
when I run Yarn Start, Meteor Tools starts download and extracting. well, it never finishes extracting, even if i leave it for hours.
Works locally no problems but when running on the AWS server or Digital Ocean droplets, both get stuck on Meteor Tools Extracting
I attempted to remove meteor and reinstall meteor globally. Didn't touch anything inside the app as i dont want to break the app. Tried running
meteor update
only for it to freeze on meteor tools extracting. Also tried
meteor update --patch
only to have it freeze as well.
I've been using Tauri for a personal project recently, I am working on the project on two different computers, since I try to work on it on my spare time from my laptop if I am outside, and from my desktop when I am home. I cloned the git repo from my laptop and it worked perfectly, but if I try to run it again from my desktop (after pulling the project updates) this happens:
If I try to run the project from my laptop it still works, no changes on the code or anything, I checked and the port is not being used.
The command I am using to run the project is the one provided in the website:
npm run tauri dev
Does anyone know why is this happening or how to fix the issue?
I installed node.js to work on a discord bot with VSCode but it didn't work.
I reinstalled it but ticked the 'install chocolatey' box this time, halfway through the installation I got 3 trojan alerts from my AV, and cancelled the installation.
Since then, I have been unable to uninstall, repair or reinstall Node.JS, through the Windows 10 uninstall function or from the Node.JS .msi file.
Each time I try, I get the same error message:
"The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed."
I've removed all instances of Node.JS from my program files and %appdata%, I've ensure the Installer Service is running, and yet the Node.JS application still shows in the Uninstall Tool and when I try to uninstall / modify / reinstall, it shows the same error, and seems to think it's still installed on my system! Not even Node.JS commands work in my CMD!
I've got no idea how to fix this, and I don't want to use glitch anymore to write my bot, so please help- or it seem's I'll have to factory reset my PC and hope that resolves the issue.
Thanks in advance, guys.
Godspeed.
EDIT: I tried installing a newer version hoping it would overwrite old Node.JS files. Didn't work. Issue still occurring.
Do these:
Open command prompt as Administrator and run /sfc scannow. It will scan and replace corrupted files.
Restart your PC when the scan is done.
would anybody happen to know the latest versions that work together on Windows Vista? I've been back and forth trying to get the right combination together but ng new never works for some reason or another.
(this is the older post showing what I already tried)
I'm having a bit of a problem here. I attempted to update angular/cli and I got errors telling me I need to update my version of node. I have windows vista so I'm pretty much stuck with node 5.7 and npm 3.6 until I can afford a new computer.
I tried uninstalling angular and clearing the cache and installing angular-cli#1.0.0-beta.14 and it installs. I can create a new project with it though it takes a long time to create it, and it also throws an error with node-pre-gyp. I came across an article on Github that said it's meant to be installed locally in the project and not globally. So I tried uninstalling, clearing cache and installing without -g to make it local within my project folder and it still has errors installing and I still can't serve my project.
How can I clear this all up and just start back with a clean slate of Angular2? I've looked around and everything I find leads me to the docs which are now updated to something beyond what my computer can handle.

Have you considered running Linux? There are many versions with a lightweight GUI that runs well on older hardware. Ubuntu Mate is an example. It's harder to run node on Windows because of symlinks.
I've looked on the Node-Webkit site and it appears to say that I can make an application with HTML5 and compile it for Windows, Linux of Mac so it will run without the need for the user to install Node.js separately. However, when I try their sample apps (e.g. https://github.com/leanote/desktop-app found on the official NW.js page: https://github.com/nwjs/nw.js/wiki/List-of-apps-and-companies-using-nw.js ), the ".exe" file does not run the app (on either Win 7 or XP). It just opens a simple browser window with the address "nw:blank" and a gray page says "NW.JS" and does nothing.
Can these apps be packaged and run without requiring the user to install node.js?
https://github.com/leanote/desktop-app 's nw folder is not the distribute leanote app, it's just the NW. You must build the desktop-app. The README has written How to build it, How to develop it
You can download the distributed version via: https://github.com/leanote/desktop-app/releases
You might try... node-webkit-builder ... which is supposed to build a huge .EXE file which is self-contained for you. Otherwise, the instructions for distributing... how to package and distribute, see Step 2b.
