At some moment for unknown reason window tabs that are always housed at the bottom of pharo window disappeared. Is there any way to bring them back except for opening a new image?
actually, is:
World showWorldTaskbar: true.
In Pharo versions < 2:
Project showWorldTaskbar: true.
In Pharo versions >= 2 there is a 'Taskbar' preference which you can toggle or you can evaluate:
World showWorldTaskbar: true.

Is there a way to check if the root is visible (at least part of it is on the screen). I tried <tk.Tk>.winfo_viewable() and <tk.Tk>.ismapped() but both of them return True even if the window is fully hidden by another window. Checking if the window isn't focused wouldn't solve my problem.
I need it because I am working on improving this that uses <tk.Tk>.overrideredirect(True) to remove the title bar. The problem is that I can't Alt-Tab to the window so I want to call <tk.Tk>.overrideredirect(False) each time the window isn't (at least partially) visible.
When using Sublime Text 3 - when I move the mouse left and right, editor window scrolls left and right instead of simply moving the mouse pointer where I want it to go.
This behavior only started after last reboot, and I did NOT update Sublime recently.
Windows 10 in VDI mode.
I don't observe that behavior in any other software I use.
If installed try removing the PlainTasks plugin. In my case this solved the issue. The latest update which came in via Package Control came with the unwanted feature to block the left mouse button in the editor window.
I think generally it's no mistake to check all the installed plugins when this issue occurs.
I have a single vim-tab with multible windows. When i change the focus to another (vim-)window, vim seems to impose a minimal window width. For example, if i have 2 open windows split vertically, a change of focus to the right one results in shifting the seperators a bit to the left (1 character, i guess the terminal-width is odd) , and vice versa. This is annoying especially when there are more windows, since moving around changes the layout of the tab.
i tried setting wfw, but now when i open another window (again split vertically) the new one will have width 1, and Ctrl-W = doesn't work any more.
Is there an option to disable resizing on focus change, while still beeing able to Ctrl-W =?
Edit: I'm running vim 7.4, beeing the official debian jessie vim-gnome package. The behaviour is reproducable even without .vimrc. I'm using urxvt, and xterm shows the same behaviour.
I don't know what exactly went wrong, but the problem was caused by using the session file i created with vim-obsession.
Deleting this file and starting a new session fixed the above.
I recently made the switch to Android Studio as my default IDE for Android development. When designing my UI I normally use the palette in the design view to assist in arranging the widget on the preview screen.Recently something weird happened, It just disappeared and I can't seem to re-enable it. Normally I would see the little Palette button on the side but now its gone. When I open another project I see the palette but not show this current project I'm working on.
When I open another project in Android Studio I see the palette tab.
I've just figured this out! If you double click on your .xml file tab at the top it will maximize the designer window. Then on the left you can drag the window to shrink and it will reveal the palette. Then just click on the tab on the left to open the project window.
try the Design/Text tabs in the lower left of the layout window
The palette can be shrunk to 0 width. This can be expanded by hovering next to the left edge of the design window, and finding the right-most expand position.
If you have only the designer and the properties showing and the Properties is on the right, you can get the palette back by switching to a left or right view.
Right click on the .xml file tab. Select "split vertically". This will open another Design that shows the palette again.
Android Studio 2.3.3, and the answer I was looking for:
Window -> Restore Default Layout (Shift+F12)
First Close All The Tabs Then Open res->layout->activity_main.xml
you will able to see design tab at activity_main.xml
Try to switch between Design/Text tabs at the bottom left of the editor.
You must have something in the layout resource highlighted. I also had to compile without an error.
My solution was traversing
src->main->res-layout->content_main.xml
then open content_main.xml
You have to be in the 'Design' tab (as opposed to the 'Text' tab) at the bottom of the middle window (the one that shows the phone).
Has the browser window been removed from the latest version of Xcode? I've seen this window in an iOS class I watched online and again in a book I have. I can't find anything in the View menu to turn it on.
I'm running Lion and the latest version of Xcode. I created a new project with Core Data turned on and then built it. I then clicked on .xcdatamodeld file and I get a graphic window with the default table in it.
Do you mean the project browser on the left? You enable that using the 'view' buttons on the right side of the toolbar.
The toolbar might be hidden though, so go to the view menu and select "Show toolbar" if needed.
Then select the fourth button from the right on the toolbar, it is the first button in the set of view buttons. This shows the Navigator View on the left of your screen, which has 7 selectors on the top. The leftmost will give you the project browser (project navigator), the one next to it is the symbol navigator.
I hate to be answering my own question again. I like to keep my answer rate at 100%. Since I didn't get a response here, I tried the Apple developer forums. It turn out the Xcode 4.* changed the interface and this series of windows no longer exist. The same functions can be found in other locations.
