Sharepoint 2010 - Access to lists and alerts - sharepoint

I have created a list and added some fields in order to use it as a form.
We have 30 stores in the country and each store has its own login.
Every store need to be able to Create new items in the list and modify ONLY THEIR OWN.
In order to do that, I had used the LIST PARAMETER - ADVANCED - Read only element create by user.
BUT by doing that, I am unable to Create ALERTS!
So basically, I am looking for a way that users can Create a new entry in the list.
They can modify and see ONLY their entries. Using a custom view is not really a security method.
Administrator needs to see all of the entries and be able to modify any as well.
Form1 - User1
Form2 - User2
If Form1 is modified, I want only User1 (and admin) to be alerted.
Thank you very much and ask me if I forgot to mention any required piece of information

You can create a Workflow... configure it to start when the item is modified... then in your Workflow you add 'Send email notification' step...
so it will be started when someone modify it, and will send you an email notification...

SharePoint Online and prevent users from editing old list items after specific time

We have SharePoint Online site with list. Users can add, edit and delete own items in this list.
How I can resolve new issue - Users can't edit and delete own items older than one week (from creation date).
Is it possible without coding Remote Event Reciever or Azure function?
Per my knowledge, there is not an OOTB way to achieve it, we have to write some custom code.
If you only want to the user can't see some items in list view base on some condition, we can use list view Filter to achieve it. Note:User also access item form through URL.
I suggest you use remote event receiver or azure function to achieve this requirement.
In classic site, we can also add some JavaScript code into master page to prevent users access edit form page and hide the delete button in the page.
For this kind of requirement the solution which is 'no code' and with SP online is Power automate (previously MS Flow).
The best option in Your case would be to create a recurring flow which for example starts every day at 00:10 AM -> please see MS docs with description how to do this.
The Flow should get all items from a specific list for a specific site. You can do that with the 'Get Items' step. After that You can use the 'Apply to each' Step to check each item creation date with a 'Condition' Step. When some item will be older than one week You can use additional steps to break permission inheritance on item and remove all groups from permissions on this item or change the permissions on item from edit to read. Here I found an interesting article where are some predefined steps shown how to remove all permissions, remove and add a group. To tell You the truth I was not aware there already are this kind of steps in Power automate (maybe something new :) ) .
I would use SharePoint HTTP request and use SharePoint API to remove permissions on item and change some group role from edit to read. So I would do a similar procedure like here the only difference is not to break permission on all list but just on a specific item which I would get by ID. You can do all of those API request with a 'SharePoint HTTP request' Step
Please be aware there usually is a 5 000 unique permission levels threshold (50 000 is in on-prem) in list (place check here for latest info on limits in SP Online). So a better option would be to create a folder with view only permissions for the users before and when an item is older than one week You could only move this item to that folder also with Power Automate. That way all the files (items) in this folder would be read only and You would have only one unique item scope in this list and not as many as the old items.
Some other options You could use are:
Also code solution, but not RER and Azure function, would be to create a console app that uses CSOM to look through items in this list and either breaks permission on each item or moves to a folder (like the flow) and schedule this CSOM app on some local or remote server in Task Scheduler... Of Course You would need some local (or other) server for it which is always up and running :)
If You would like to use some 'little coding' and by any chance You are still using classic UI (not modern) You could use JSLink attached to CT or some column like Title and block editing of fields in edit forms etc (this is not the best option as always the users may create a view without a columns with this JSLink and go around this or modify the item using CSOM or Rest API)
You might consider using PowerApps (In case you have it configured in your subscription) to customize the edit form,
Then you use the validate() method, and disable a user from submitting the form in case ("Created" + 7 days) <= Today() or something like that.

(Nintex) Query User Profile returns missing values

Working in Nintex, I have a workflow that is kicked off when a form is saved. The workflow generates a PDF version of the Nintex form (we need actual signatures - digital in the future, fingers crossed). This is done by updating a word template, then converting to PDF.
When the word document is updated, the 'assigned to:' field is getting an AD account name instead of the user's First, Last name (which is expected). Now I'm trying to format it so it's more appropriate to the Hard Copy (in the Nintex form, it shows as Last, First).
I used a Query User Profile action, passed it the same variable I was using to hold the form's 'assigned to' value, and then used the drop down menu to choose the user profile variables I wanted (First, Last, also: username, account name, Distinguish name). All values are generating empty strings.
I've incrementally tried handing the values to variables that are of type String, Person, or Collection. I also handed it my username instead of the variable and set my account info for the login. I've always selected values, so I don't think it's a typo.
I'm at a loss... the workflow emails the user at the end, so it's getting the data. I hope that's enough info, I'm new to SP/Nintex so it could be a rookie mistake. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you!
I've seen issues where the User Profile Service properties have not been configured adequately, which leads to a lot of empty variables when running an LDAP Query action for AD attributes.
If this is the case, then one approach is to get the Farm admin (if you don't have access) to take a look at Manage User Profiles in Central Admin and see what AD attributes are mapped to the user profile. If mappings are changed you'll need to run a full sync to bring over the values. It can be inconsistent in my experience as well.

How do we make a crystal report print only specific fields based off of the user running the report?

We use a construction software, Viewpoint. We need a report to print the GL Accounts associated only with the user running the report. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I could easily and efficiently achieve this? My "last-resort alternative" is just creating separate reports for each GL that pulls only that GL's info.
It depends on how the accounts are associated to the user. If there is a link, you can simply create a user parameter that asks for the user name. Then in the record select of the report you only pull accounts that match the user name in the parameter.
So, for example your parameter is called {?userName}. In the Record Select the formula would something like {Accounts.Salesman} = {?userName}, where {Accounts.Salesman} would be the field that links the user with the account.
You can get the current user name and use it to filter the records in your report. There are 2 ways to do this :
create a parameter, hide it and automatically fill the value. You
will need a special viewer for this scenario. Let me know if this is
what would you prefer I can give you some links. If you leave the
parameter visible the user can insert any value and view any records
use an UFL . For example this one:
http://www.viksoe.dk/code/u2lwin32.htm provides a function LoginName
which will return currently logged user. There are other UFLs which
support similar functionality, check if your company is already
using something . This one is free. You need to register the UFL on
each system which will run the report . Once registered the
available functions will become available for formulas.
I personally prefer the viewer solution because it is more flexible and will cover other scenarios too. However if you need just the username UFL will be a better approach.

How to add value to a field from another lookup field?

I have a custom entity Partnership in which I have one lookup field contacts.
now I want to add the name field value of the partnership from contact fullname in time of creation of Partnership.
is it possible with the help of pre-existing configuration settings,(without plugin or web resource)
Thanks.
Without using a plug-in or web resource you have a couple options.
1- You can configure the mappings between the 2 entities by going to the Entity (contact) -> Relationship -> Mappings -> and add a new mapping there. For this to work though, you will need to create the child record from the subgrid of the contact, and if the contact changes it won't update the values. So it may or may not be an ideal solution for you.
2- You can create a workflow rule that runs on create and/or update of the Partnership record that pulls the value from the parent contact onto the partnership record. The downside of this is that workflows are async so you won't see the update for a few seconds and refresh the Partner record.
Hope this helps.
If you want to be able to click the "New Partnership" button in the CRM ribbon, then select a contact, and have the name of the contact, be used to populate another field on the form, you will have to use JavaScript. There is no configurable way of doing it.
If you'd like the value to be populated before it is saved in the CRM database, you could use JavaScript, or a custom Plugin. If you'd like the value to be updated after the record is created, you could use a workflow.
You'll have to use one of those three methods to populate the field. The real question I have though, is why are you bothering to populate the field in the first place? You can add the full Contact name to any view, so I don't see a real big reason to include it.

How to display notes in opportunity form of mscrm 2011?

I need to display account notes across all opportunities. typically a MSCRM creates a blank Notes section for each new Opportunity you create inside a account, but I need to display a running Account dialog of conversations to review in one continues notepad (means display all notes).
Can anyone tell me how I can display all notes in the opportunity form?
Is this possible without coding (or in fact, with coding!)
Thanks in advance,
SD
Well you can do this a few different ways.
1) The easiest way is to add an IFRAME and then point to the applicable Account notes container. You'd have to set the "id" attribute based on the account. Here's what your IFRAME url will look like:
/_controls/notes/notesdata.aspx?EnableInlineEdit=true&EnableInsert=true&id=%7bEF88BCAA-C3EB-E111-B142-78E7D162EE67%7d&ParentEntity=1
2) If you are only wanting to display the notes and not allow for a user to edit them (read-only), then you'll need to use fetch to query the annotations where the related id equals the account.
Just to be clear the on requirement here.
I believe you are saying: Each Account has multiple Opportunities, each Opportunity has many Notes. On the Account you want to show all the Notes for all the Opportunities.
I don't think you can achieve this with out of the box functionaility, I would suggest creating an SSRS report and iFrame'ing it in.
