Excel on Sharepoint: Chart not show - sharepoint

Just uploaded a PowerPivot Workbook to a PowerPivot Gallery on Sharepoint 2013 site. I opened it but only the slicers are shown, not the Pivot chart.
At the position of the pivot chart, there is only an [x] icon.
Apart from that, I don't see any notice, error information or similar.
I'm the admin of both SharePoint farm and SQL Server.
I googled but did not find anything, not sure what I missed.
Edit 1: Menu bar also not work, not thing haoppend when click, i think there is something wrong with my excel application on sharepoint.

Solved
Chart not show : Change value of Maximum Chart or Image Size in Trusted File Location of Excel Service Application
Menu Bar not work : use FireFox + IETab addon

Excel power view sheet comes out blank when printing

When I try to print a power view sheet it comes out blank (no ink on the paper), even though the print preview shows the sheet nicely.
See image below (secret stuff is blurred out):
According to Microsoft themselves it should be possible to both print and export (to pdf) a power view sheet.
Many other sites also claim that it should be possible, e.g. https://www.tutorialspoint.com/excel_power_view/excel_power_view_sharing.htm
I have tried both options though, and it comes out blank on paper when printing, and when exported just shows a blank pdf page.
I ended up contacting Microsoft support and I was told that it is only possible to print an image of the current view if the Excel document is on a SharePoint server.

How can I update the dataset in my vb.net 2012 report after changing a table structure?

I have created a report in vb 2012 and it was very involved and would prefer not to re-do it. My problem is that I have made a small change to a table's structure. I've updated the table adapter in visual studio but in my report, it still shows the older version of the table adapter before I made the changes. I cant seem to find a way to update the dataset without starting over completely with my report. Any ideas?
To refresh the fields for a specific dataset
In the Report Data pane, right-click the dataset, and then click
Dataset Properties.
Note:
If the Report Data pane is not visible, on the View menu, click Report Data. If the pane
opens as a floating window, you can dock it.
In the Query pane, type the query.
Click Refresh Fields.
Click OK.
In the Report Data pane, expand the dataset node to view the currently defined field collection.

How to apply a saved chart template to an existing chart?

I recently created a custom contour chart in excel to display my data colored with a heat-map color mapping. I'm using a Excel 2011 on a Mac. I can't find a way to reuse the saved template. The help instructs me to
Click the chart
On the Charts tab, under Change Chart Type, click Other, and then under Templates, click the chart template that you created.
There is no "Templates" Icon Group or an entry in the menu.
What am I missing here?
It is really not obvious!
You have to scroll down the chart type list (toolbar Charts/button Other)
The saved templates are "hidden" at the very end of the list.
=>It is especially handy when you need to draw many of the same charts.
Yes, on the other side to save a chart as template you just need to:
- Right click on the finished chart
or
- Select the menu Chart/Save as template...
Your saved templates are under Change Chart Type --> Other, you just have to scroll down below the radar charts. I know, not very intuitive....
The answer did not work for my Mac version of Excel. First I needed to unhide the Library folder with a terminal command:
chflags nohidden ~/Library/
After that I needed to look up (Google) where Excel writes down its Chart Templates:
../Library/Application Support/Office/Chart Templates/
Only after that I was able to do what is suggested above, right-click an existing chart and save it as a template. Phew!
Thanks for sharing.
I was able to apply the template by doing the following:
/Users/username/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Office/Chart Templates/Your_template_Name.crtx
then go to Charts > Other > Scroll down to the bottom > Select your template(s) from the Templates section
On Mac OS I couldn't apply a saved template from any location. The templates have to be saved in the Excel's templates folder. To find it go to chart design -> change chart type -> Manage Templates...
Once you copy your templates to this folder, if you go to
chart design -> change chart type -> templates
you'll be able to apply your template.
I had to put my templates here, perhaps because I also have a previous office version installed??
Mac OS, Excel v. 16.64

How to change the result of exporting to Excel format a report with subreport and chart

We have a report which contains 6 pages (I have used page breaks). Each page has few sub-reports and few charts. We are exporting it as Excel.
When we are trying to print one sheet the page is breaking into multiple pages dividing the sub-reports and charts in middle. Is there some best way or thumb rule to follow in order to make reports print friendly.
On the Ribbon (I have Excel 2007) go to View tab, then select Page Break Preview and drag page borders as you desire. These settings are saved together with the workbook, so on the next reopen page breaks will remain as set.
Finally found the answer.
Posting here in case somebody is struck with same issue
Need to set these properties in report
net.sf.jasperreports.export.xls.fit.width =1 and
net.sf.jasperreports.export.xls.fit.height=1.
Thanks

How to disable field list at runtime in performancepoint?

I have a dashboard that I am displaying, and whenever my users click on a pivotchart or pivottable the field list automatically pops up. How can I prevent this from occurring?
If you wish to use ad hoc analysis tools such as pivottables and charts in a dashboard like this, the field list will always appear.
If you are able to use static data then render it out to that format and replace what you currently have with it.
Edit the chart in Dashboard Designer. In the Commands and Options dialog box select Chart Workspace in the drop down list. Once you do that, the tab Show/Hide should appear. On that tab you can clear the checkbox for the Fields List. Clear any other checkboxes in that dialog, and close the window. Click on your chart in DD and make sure the fields list (and any other dialog boxes - ie Commands and Options, Drop Zone, etc) don't appear. Publish your chart and you should be good to go.
