I am new to JSF, was setting up my first workspace in Eclipse Helios and Weblogic 10.0 server, I am getting 'Stopped, Unable to validate weblogic domain' while trying to start the server. Same problem persists while trying to add a new domain.
Please help.
I am using WebLogic server 12c and the steps to resolve this issue is:
Start Weblogic server(I started through command prompt)
Go to Weblogic console page (login with admin credentials)
Domain Structure >> Select your domain (i was having base_domain)
Click on the Security tab
Check Anonymous Admin Lookup enabled. (by default its unchecked)
Save (save the changes)
** Restart the server (preferably through admin console)
Now, Start the server through eclipse. It should work.!!
Regards,
Maris
And here is the resolution :
Go to Window Tab -> Preferences -> General -> Network Connections
Change the Active provider to "Direct". The default is usually Native. and that's it. Close and restart eclipse.
It happened to me as well, I even reinstalled weblogic again, after a bit of research I decided to kill all of the Java(TM) Platform SE Binary process via Task Manager and restarted the Server.
That's all It took to resolve the issue.
I tested this on Weblogic 10.3.6. Luck!!

I am new to Maximo 7.6.1 installation. Have installed DB2, WAS 11.01 and Maximo 7.6.1 . All of them on the same personal laptop running Windows 10.
Installations successful (except for the final ear deployment). DB2 and WAS are successfully installed. On rebooting the laptop, I get following different logins db2admin,
maximo ,
maxdb76
My question is using which url I can access/ or get the login page of Maximo.
Try modifying this url based on your setup.
You may need to specify a port after hostname (e.g. :9080) if one is configured and specifying localhost or your IP address (found by running ipconfig from the command line) can help rule out any issues with hostname.
You said, "except for the final ear deployment" ... but it is that final EAR deployment that makes Maximo run when you start the app server you deploy it to. Once it is deployed and running, you should be able to access the Maximo login page by browsing to http://localhost:9080/maximo or https://localhost:9443/maximo.
On Linux (Gentoo) if I start GlassFish from Netbeans/Services area, the server will started, the admin site is reachable, but in Netbeans I get the following error message:
GlassFish Server 4.1 start failed.
Please check server admin user name and password properties.
Also please check the server log file for other possible causes.
and I can neither start again, nor terminate.
Any idea?
Well, I had the same situation but on Mac. After I updated to macOS Sierra. In my case was a block on the sites that use system proxy settings, where localhost, 127.0.0.1, are blocked.
Perhaps, your case es similar, but a proxy setting on you Linux (GENTO).
For mac this is the solution AppServer issues from Netbeans
Step 1: (Try to search for the same on Linux) Go to system preference >Network>Select your wifi connection>Advanced>select
proxies tab. There check 3 options 1) Auto proxy Discovery 2)Automatic
Proxy configuration 3) web proxy(http)
Step 2: Go to Netbeans>preferences>General> select use system proxy> reload> test connection You may get connection successful. If
connection gets successful, Now Clean & build your Applications in
netbeans and press run .
I hope this help you and give you an idea.
I am getting stuck while creating a new plugin project in liferay, eclipse get stuck everytime and console displaying only [ivy:resolve] message
It appears that the Ivy resolve process inside of the Liferay Plugins SDK is failing when it tries to create a new process.
Go into your Liferay Plugins SDK folder and open the ivy-settings.xml file. Notice that it points to some online repositories. It seems that your system is having trouble connecting to those remote repositories. See the log messages about the failing certificates (when its trying to connect to the https:// server of jboss repository ).
Maybe will be any special configuration required for connecting to those repositories, proxy...
Try from here
Liferay migration from one server to another help required. Can anyone share there steps for migration of Liferay portal 5.2.3 from one server to another. I am using Windows + Tomcat + MySql.
I have uploaded whole tomcat folder to the new windows machine and imported the database too with the corresponding change to the configuration file like Database details.
But after starting the tomcat server it is showing some error like "Unable to load repository http://plugins.liferay.com". Any idea why I am getting this error ?
These are the steps that I have followed and able to migrate the Liferay successfully:
Take the backup of Liferay files and database from first windows machine.
Install the same version of Liferay (Say Liferay 5.2.3) on second windows machine.
Shut down Liferay.
Import the database on new system.
Add portal-ext.properties with relevant entries. (e.g Datbase Name, User Name , Pasword etc)
Add \liferay-portal-5.2.3\data\document_library files from old machine.
Start the tomcat. It will automtically do the rest.
NOTE: In the above method I have not deployed Theme and custom plugins etc, you have to deploy Theme and custom plugins also that are used on old system.
Lifery is trying to connect to plugin repository to find whether there are updates for plugins.
Does your new machine have internet conectivity?
Also you have options to ignore that message or configure liferay not to check for updates.
For later put in portal-ext.properties
plugin.repositories.trusted=
plugin.repositories.untrusted=
UPDATE:
If behind proxy create (if not existent) system-ext.properties (beside portal-ext.properties) and add
com.liferay.util.Http.proxy.host=proxy_host
com.liferay.util.Http.proxy.port=proxy_port
Change proxy_host and proxy_port with your values.
Also remove from portal-ext.properties if you want liferay to check repositories
plugin.repositories.trusted=
plugin.repositories.untrusted=
All of the sudden I'm getting the following error on my local web server (Win7 64bit, IIS 7.5). I've uninstalled & reinstalled IIS locally and it didn't fix it. IIS is set to start up automatically and I can see that the service has been successfully started. Upon a fresh reboot if I go into IIS and click on start website I get the following error:
The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070020
If I try to start debugging on my local website project I get the following error:
Unable to start debugging on the web server. The underlying connection was closed. The connection was closed unexpectedly.
Any ideas on what I can try? I've been doing research on the issue and Microsoft suggest making sure no other service is listening on the same ports. I've verified that this isn't the issue.
Try changing the web site to use a port other than 80 (suggest 8080 for example) and see it if will start. If so that's a sure sign of another service using port 80 (Skype is a common culprit for this).
Application pool's identity password changed?
I know this is an old post, but I can't believe how many times I've been bitten by this. Some shops use integrated security for SQL, and often then on your local IIS needs your network login for the application pool. When your password expires, and you forget to change your password here, start banging your head on the wall... DOH!
Open IIS. Select Application Pools. Select the application pool used by your app. Click Advanced Settings... Select Identity, and the little "..." button to update your user/password.
