I'm having trouble when trying to open a device in Genymotion (in Ubuntu 14.04).
This is the bug that I'm getting.
I tried to uninstall Genymotion and Virtualbox a few times but nothing helped.
I has the same problem with Genymotion 2.1.0 as there is a bug in Virtual Box 4.2.
I installed genymotion 2.2.0, which solved the problem.

So, I am trying to work on Android Studio. But I can't install Intel HAXM.
I am running Windows 7 and latest android studio
I tried installing from SDK. It installs perfectly but, then "HAXM device not found".
I tried installing different versions of HAXM manually. But everytime these errors pop up, when I do it manually. The errors:

Things I've tried includes:
Enabling Vt-X in advanced BIOS options
Disabling Hyper-V
Installing update of windows suggested in another thread. Windows6.1-KB3033929-x64.
Tried Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider
I can't even remember anymore.
Please Help
What type is your processor? The problem with HAXM is what can installed if you have a processor is not Intel. for this reason some peaple use a emulators like bluestacks o something similar. Good Day!
I have installed Genymotion 3.1.0 with VirtualBox 6.0 (updated versions are not compatible with gm as said on their website) on Windows 7 64bit. I have enabled vt-x and am running the latest version of my graphics driver.
I get the error "player.exe has stopped" error when I start the device I have downloaded. (I have also tried starting the device with Virtualbox open)
Can someone please help??

Genymotion 3.1.0 no longer supports Windows 7 officially, so it may not work correctly with your Windows in the future.
That being said, you can either try to purge Genymotion and re-install it (see https://support.genymotion.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002815177-How-to-uninstall-Genymotion-Desktop-completely-purge-) or try out Genymotion 3.1.1 beta at https://www.genymotion.com/download-beta/
The beta version is compatible with VirtualBox 6.1.X.
I have installed ubuntu 14.04 x64. Previous version of genymotion was working perfectly. After i updated till 2.7.2, when i launch a virtual machine all the OS freezez and can move only my mouse :(
Any1 met similar problem ?
This has been answered before.
Go to "Software and Updates" > "Additional Drivers", and change to the proprietary driver for your card. Reboot.
I installed Android Studio and fired up the default emulator (Nexus 5 API 23), but got the following error message:
emulator: ERROR: x86 emulation currently requires hardware acceleration!
Please ensure Intel HAXM is properly installed and usable.
CPU acceleration status: HAXM must be updated (version 1.1.5 < 6.0.1).
It seems that a lot of people already encountered this issue and the solution would be to install Intel x86 Emulator Accelerator, but in my case, it is already installed.
Another thing I read is:
After you download it and make sure you run the setup located in: {SDK_FOLDER}\extras\intel\Hardware_Accelerated_Execution_Manager\intelhaxm.exe
I'm on a 2015 retina Macbook though, so this is not an option.
Also when creating a new Virtual Device, the error message remains the same.
What can I do to get a working emulator?

You should mount and run the IntelHAXM_1.1.4.dmg file located in {SDK_FOLDER}\extras\intel\Hardware_Accelerated_Execution_Manager
Actually problem is that HAXM is downloaded but not installed.
So you should run executable file and install new version of HAXM.
HAXM path: {SDK_FOLDER}\extras\intel\Hardware_Accelerated_Execution_Manager
When I start the emulator, the "phone" shows only a black screen. Nothing more happens. No loading, no pixels, no application nothing. Just a black screen.
Based on other forums i tried:
restart several times
install mesagl
install more c++ libs
start emulator without android studio
enable or disable "Use host gpu" option
limit emulator ram to 768mbyte
delete and recreate virtual device with several other api and abi
reinstall nvidia closed driver
Non of these helped.
Any other suggestions?
