I'm just getting started with the OneDrive API. I have an application that integrates with Google Drive and Dropbox and receives push notifications from these services, and I'm looking to include OneDrive support.
Maybe I'm not looking in the right place, but I can't find documentation on how/if I can receive push notifications for changes on a users OneDrive account. Or, even a list of changes to a service - like Dropbox's delta call, or Google's changes list call.
Ideally, I'm wondering if OneDrive supports something similar to Google Drive's watch changes function, or Dropbox's webhooks or longpoll_delta. Anyone able to shed some light on this?
Try view.delta: https://dev.onedrive.com/items/view_delta.htm
GET /drive/items/{item-id}/view.delta
GET /drive/root:/{item-path}:/view.delta
Unfortunately, that is not supported by the current version of the OneDrive API.

I have Azure and I want to be able to create a simple chat-bot that is programmed to do a few simple tasks for users, i.e. take in uploaded information and pass it on to another web service. What would be the best way to do this? Should I use team's built in bot-framework? I'm not sure if it can export data externally.
Would the best way be to just create a self-service web-page? I kind of want to keep it as a bot though, since they are hip and trendy.
Any tips, guidance, or knowledge would be appreciated!
It certainly should be possible to do this using a bot, as Teams bots can handle 9file upload and download scenarios](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/platform/bots/how-to/conversations/send-and-receive-files?tabs=dotnet). Once the bot has received the file, it can do anything that makes sense, as the bot is fully-fledged application, written in C#, node, python, or other options (those 3 are the best supported).
If you haven't build a bot before, you can start here, which gives links to guidance on general bot development with the Microsoft Bot Framework, as well as info on Teams-specific scenarios.
So i'm designing a new application with Nodejs and packaging into an executable then putting a release in github, I want to be able to monitor how many people are using my executable?
I was thinking about creating an api server and my application just make a call to that API service but I thought there might be something already out there any help?
The easiest way is to connect third party services that do that. The most famous one is Google Analytics
You just need to create your developer account and embed a few lines of tracking code. After that you can see full info about your visitors including their location.
I looked thru the internet and didn't found a solution how to make this:
I want to make google extension which will use Google API or something to connect the extension to Google drive and create/update files there( i will need mostly plain text documents to store there arrays). i will need it only for personal use, so any hacks are also acceptable.
Have anyone done anything like this before? i just need the starting point.
I have made an example that is available on Github. It is available here. It transforms the some emails from GMails into PDFs stored in Drive.
You can reuse it, you simply need to copy the Drive part and not the GMail API part. The steps you'll need to follow are :
Use the Chrome identity API to retrieve an access token for the Drive API
Use the Drive API javascript client to upload your text files. The tricky part is to upload it properly, use the examples on the github project to see what the request should look like.
Google Docs have a feature "Web Clipboard" to help users easily copy and paste cross google documents. (you can refer to https://drive.googleblog.com/2010/02/a-web-clipboard-for-google-docs.html)
But I am wondering that if there's any Web API or official way to access those API.
I try to find in Google Document List APi (https://developers.google.com/google-apps/documents-list/), I can't find any related stuff.
The original goal for me is I want to copy some screenshot/images/text from my Windows OS.
And I want to paste into my GoogleDoc Document.
But it can't be done unless the screenshot/image/text is update/upload into Web Clipboard.
I keep finding any related integrated tools or extension, but I still can't find anyone.
Could someone give me some suggestions?
There is no official way to access this API, sorry.
There is clearly an API of sorts, just not documented. I'd suggest looking at extensions like this one and trying to reverse-engineer the protocol so you can see what endpoints it is calling.
But it sounds like a lot of work.
I am trying to find out what the tech is like to create a Gmail plugin that accesses my attachments. Just to get started, what would be "Hello world" as a Gmail plugin? What would be the steps to create it?
Yes, you can creates plugin for Gmail, and two types:
Sidebar
Contextual
Look for Gadgets in gmail. After learning how to use these, you can add them to your gmail or anybody that wants to can do the same, to do so you can have Google host it.
It's easy if you know some HTML, JavaScript, and XML.
Good Luck
Take a look at these links:
https://developers.google.com/google-apps/gmail/contextual_gadgets
https://developers.google.com/gadgets/docs/basic
You cannot create Gmail plugins.
(Unless you work for Google)
Doing some quick research it looks like Google now supports a GMail api to build gadgets and/or plugins. I haven't done it myself, however it seems like they want it to work.
https://developers.google.com/google-apps/gmail/
I think you can do that. (You will find Hello World program too)
http://code.google.com/apis/gmail/gadgets/contextual/
Last year, Google released a GMail API and it allows you to perform the actions you want, but perhaps not with the UX you're looking for embedded directly inside of GMail. You can find it here:
https://developers.google.com/gmail/api/
Depending on exactly how you need it to work, you might be able to use either Contextual Gadgets (https://developers.google.com/gmail/contextual_gadgets) or a Google Chrome Extension to do what you need.
Google has recently introduced add-ons for Gmail (probably on Oct, 24 2017). It can be developed with Google Apps Script. Google's documentation says
What Gmail add-ons can do ?
Displaying additional information for the user in the Gmail UI.
Connecting to non-Google services, to retrieve information or take other actions.
Providing an interactive interface to allow the user to control the add-on or send information to another service.
I am not pretty sure (will go deep into it in coming days) whether you can deal with attachments. But I logically feel you can do that as well, because GAS supports handling attachments.
As of now, Google is not allowing to publish new add-ons however they will allow it in future.
While a few add-ons have been made available in the G Suite
Marketplace for users to install, it is not currently possible to
publish your own add-on to the Marketplace.
How can you publish your own add-on ?
As of now (26th Oct, 2017), they consider it on request basis. If you have a cool idea, fill this form to let them know about it. You will get notified once they accept your listing.
Here is how the add-on interface looks like inside Gmail
It is not possible to create plugins for Gmail. There is no developer API as such - only access to send/retrieve emails using standard SMTP/IMAP protocols.
