Aspose.Cells in Android Studio : OutOfMemoryError - android-studio

I have referenced Aspose.Cells jar file in my Android Studio project, but I get the following error when I compile:

Aspose.Cells for Android has been successfully tested with ADT Bundle as Android Studio is not fully stable yet.
If you are experiencing OutOfMemoryError on Android Studio try increasing the allocated memory. Check answers on Android Studio - How to increase Allocated Heap Size.
PS: I am a developer at Aspose.

dexOptions {
incremental true
//javaMaxHeapSize=1024M for 32bit Java,2048M for 64bit Java
javaMaxHeapSize "1024M"
//javaMaxHeapSize "2048M"

Gradle project sync failed. Basic functionality (e.g. editing, debugging) will not work properly on Android Studio 4.2

I encountered "Gradle project sync failed" on Android Studio 4.2 and some of the class members are mostly red. I have done some troubleshooting as below.
File->Sync Project with Gradle Files
File-> invalidates caches/restart
Restart Android Studio
Clean and Rebuild
Try deleting .gradle
However, the problem still persists. What went wrong actually?

Caused by: org.gradle.api.ProjectConfigurationException: A problem occurred configuring project ':app'.
I had faced the same problem.
Solution:
If your Android Studio version is 4.2.2 and your app contains more than one modules then make sure to keep the targetSdkVersion and compileSdkVersion as same for all your build.gradle files(including your modules).
I have just experienced this issue seemingly out of thin air, and found the cause:
I updated the google play services ads module to:
api 'com.google.android.gms:play-services-ads:20.1.0'
This causes the gradle sync to fail.
Looking into the IDEA log I found the line com.android.tools.idea.gradle.project.sync.idea.issues.SdkPlatformNotFoundException: Module: 'my-module' platform 'android-28' not found.
So I updated my-module to use the targetSdkVersion 29 and the build works again.
Please Downgrade Studio Version to 4.1.3
Currently, 4.2.* versions are having the significant number of issues.
You maybe need to upgrade or downgrade your "targetSdkVersion"
i experienced the same issue and the solution was upgrading my "targetSdkVersion"

Running flutter app in vscode and get this error Could not determine the dependencies of task ':app:compileDebugJavaWithJavac'

i'm currently facing the problem in running my flutter app in physical device(phone). i'm using android studio 4 and vscode. The error message is below.
Launching lib\main.dart on TECNO B1f in debug mode...
lib\main.dart:1
FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.
* What went wrong:
Could not determine the dependencies of task ':app:compileDebugJavaWithJavac'.
> Failed to find target with hash string 'android-29' in: C:\Users\Kitsson\AppData\Local\Android\sdk
* Try:
Run with --stacktrace option to get the stack trace. Run with --info or --debug option to get more log output. Run with --scan to get full insights.
* Get more help at https://help.gradle.org
BUILD FAILED in 7m 8s
Exception: Gradle task assembleDebug failed with exit code 1
Exited (sigterm)
I would suggest 4 methods to solve this issue , try one after another until it works for you :
Open terminal - run flutter doctor --android-licenses. Just accept all and it should work, if it dosen't then skip to next step.
adding buildToolsVersion in android => app => build.gradle
android { compileSdkVersion 29 buildToolsVersion "29.0.0" ... ... }
This often happens when you have something in your dependency that require internet like firebase. Just turn on your internet or wifi .
If none of them works then turn off developer option and turn it on again by pressing build number 7 times, this will revoke all usb debugging autherisation and ask whether to trust your developing machine , press yes and you will be good to go

Upgraded AndroidStudio to 3.4.1 and gradle problems

I have upgraded an Android Project from 3.2 to 3.4.1 and now I have gradle Problems.
The only indication is the bar at the top
and a message in the Event Log.

I have cleaned rebuilt project.
Clicking on Open Build View -> nothing happens.

Howto analyse this, How to get a meaningfull message. Its very frustrating to be blind every upgrade of Androidstudio.
Is there a way to execute the sync by console / terminal ?
Update
I could restrict the case. I found out this happens only if I am adding a android library (module). I can't understand why thi happens.
Update 2
I found the solution for me. The upgrade process added the following into my gradle script, which caused the problem. After removing it worked:
compileOptions.encoding = 'ISO-8859-1'
productFlavors {
}
The question is still open. How can we analyse this kind of issue in a professional way. I had to compare files without knowing without any contextual path.
It was good for me.
Download some components:
I used this trick to fix the problem I had with my gradle. First get a good internet connection and go to your local disk C: \Users \YourUsername. You will see a .gradle file there. Delete it and run android studio again for it to download everything again.
Though not in Android Studio 3.4.1, but I got a very similar error message in a newer version (4.1.3), so I ended up here.
For me the problem was that Kotlin version that is used for Gradle differed from the IDE plugin version.
The message was:
Gradle sync failed: EventQueue.isDispatchThread()=false Toolkit.getEventQueue()=com.intellij.ide.IdeEventQueue#3e2d155f
Current thread: Thread[ApplicationImpl pooled thread 6,4,Idea Thread Group] 219783907
SystemEventQueueThread: Thread[AWT-EventQueue-0,6,Idea Thread Group] 255359391
Make sure that ext.kotlin_version in your buildscript is the same as the plugin version (File/Settings/Plugins in Android Studio 4.1.3).

Android Studio 3.2 Canary 14 Github integration

I just updated to the new 3.2 Canary build of Android Studio and everything seems to work fine, except for Github integration.
When I try to push or pull through the UI, I get the following error:
Invocation failed Unexpected Response from Server: Unauthorized
java.lang.RuntimeException: Invocation failed Unexpected Response from Server: Unauthorized
at org.jetbrains.git4idea.http.GitAskPassXmlRpcClient.askPassword(GitAskPassXmlRpcClient.java:65)
at org.jetbrains.git4idea.http.GitAskPassApp.main(GitAskPassApp.java:68)

at org.apache.xmlrpc.LiteXmlRpcTransport.sendRequest(LiteXmlRpcTransport.java:231)
at org.apache.xmlrpc.LiteXmlRpcTransport.sendXmlRpc(LiteXmlRpcTransport.java:90)
However, the test tool under Settings > Version Control > GitHub works perfectly. So does the console git. And so did the 3.1 AS I used before.
Any ideas what the reason could be?
Just go in settings->Version control->Git and check the credential helper box.
The issue seems to be solved in AS 3.2 Canary 16, so just update.

i have just begun to use android studio and i cant seem to get my gradle to sync with my application. here is what it shows :

7:46:20 PM Gradle sync started
7:46:35 PM Gradle sync failed: Unable to start the daemon process.
This problem might be caused by incorrect configuration of the daemon.
For example, an unrecognized jvm option is used.
Please refer to the user guide chapter on the daemon at https://docs.gradle.org/2.10/userguide/gradle_daemon.html
Please read the following process output to find out more:
-----------------------
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.
Consult IDE log for more details (Help | Show Log)
the jvm version is 1.7.0_79
and the studio version is 2.1.1
Error occurred during initialization of VM Could not reserve enough space for object heap Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
There's no space available in RAM. To fix go to /android-studio-dir/bin and edit studio.vmoptions and studio64.vmoptions to increment the -Xmx and to reserve more memory to Java. Note that the number of processes active may influence on that.
Probably, the /tmp location is full..
Found this somewhere..
Use df command
df
You should see an output with a line like this:
tmpfs 102400 102312 88 100% /tmp
So to change the size of the tmp file:
sudo mount -o remount,size=2G /tmp
Done! Now, It should work..
