Emoticons missing in Notes client - xpages

I created a xPage using the RichText control (ckEditor) boundet to a notes richtext field. Within this control users can select an emoticon from the icon. This icon is saved within the richText item Body:
<p dir="ltr">
<img alt="Lachend" height="18" src="/xsp/.ibmxspres/domino/ckeditor/plugins/sametimeemoticons/images/EmoticonLaugh.gif" title="Lachend" width="18" /></p>
<p dir="ltr">
but is not visible within the lotus notes client if you open the docuement with a form.
Is there any way to display the Icon within the RichText field? I do not want to use a xPage for the notes client.

Are you looking for full fidelity between XPages and traditional Notes Client? I'm afraid that's not possible without third party products like CoexEdit from Genii Software (note, I've not used that, but I know Ben Langhinrichs has considerable experience on rich text fidelity, but there may be other products available).

VoiceOver: How to prevent users from accessing objects outside the menu?

If you visit www.arbetsformedlingen.se from a mobile, you will find a menu.
If you open that menu, you can only access items within that menu since tapping outside of the menu will close the menu.
If you for some reason are using a keyboard, you cannot tab out of
that menu.
However, visitors who uses the screen reader VoiceOver in IOS can simply move out of that menu by using the swipe left/right gestures to access the previous/next object in the DOM.
Question: Is there some way to prevent those users to access objects outside of the menu when the menu is visible?
An unsuitable solution due to the CMS would be to place the main content and the menu on the same node level, like in the simplified code below:
<body>
<div class=”maincontent” aria-hidden=”false”>
// Main content.
</div>
<div class=”mobilemenu” aria-hidden=”true” style="display:none">
// Menu.
</div>
</body>
When the menu is opened, the aria-hidden and display:none are toggled in order to just show the page contents or the menu.
Another unsuitable solution would be to toggle aria-hidden to every other object when the menu is opened, but that is impossible due to performance issues.
So, any piece of advice, thoughts etc are very welcome!!!
Using HTML5, you can set the "tab-index" to positive numbers on the elements within the menu. This will set focus to those elements. `
<div class="menu-container">
<div class="menu">
<div tabindex="1">Menu Item 1</div>
<div tabindex="2">Menu Item 2</div>
<div tabindex="2">Menu Item 3</div>
</div>
</div>
This may not be the best solution depending on what your trying to accomplish and what your code structure looks like.
You'll want to be sure to use the "tab-index" attribute correctly as to not break accessibility.

Placing a form/text box onto Chrome's omnibar

I'm brand new to Chrome Extension creation and was hoping someone could direct me to some documentation specific to my goals.
I'd like to create a form-like text box (screenshot of text-box) that sits on the Chrome omnibar where the Extension icons stack up. I'd like to be able to type plain text into this box while web-browsing. Also, I'd like to be able to tap Ctrl+K and have the cursor jump into this box and highlight whatever's there for easy copy/pasting.
Essentially, I want to use Firefox's search-bar/box presentation in Chrome as a scratch-pad for taking plain text notes while web-browsing.
I followed the elementary documentation on creating an extension and the HTML I wrote works well in presentation when clicking the icon-button. But I don't want to have to click a button. I just want the Form box to exist on the omnibar persistently and I also want to access it via Ctrl+K.
Can anybody help?
Here's the HTML I wrote (looks just like the Firefox search-bar/box):
<html>
<form action="">
<p>
<input type="text" size="40" />
</p>
</form>
</html>

can't remove borders from table in lotus notes 8.5

I have a html signature, and use lotus notes 8.5, after inserting html file for signature(File->Prefernces->Mail->Signature Tab as Rich text and them import html file) my table has style border:0 but after it loses that style and in gmail borders are displayed and it's so ugly, want to remove them.
Is the style you have specified for the table inline? From memory gmail prefers it this way, ie:
<td style="border:0">
rather than
<style>
td { border:0 }
</style>
worth a try.

jqGrid - Custom forms layout (edit, add, del)

I'm trying to customize the form layout of edit/add/del dialogs but the problem is that the height of my custom fields are not following the standard height (from the fields created automatically by jqgrid). Here is an image:
What I want is that the height of td.DataTD from my custom fields 'Responsável' and 'Componente' keep the same as the other fields. Here is the important part of my code:
beforeShowForm: function(form) {
$('#tr_responsavel').html('<td class="CaptionTD">Responsável</td><td class="DataTD"> <table><td><select role="select" id="resp" name="responsavel" size="1" class="FormElement ui-widget-content ui-corner-all"><option role="option" value="1">Usuário</option><option role="option" value="2">Área</option><option role="option" value="3">Grupo</option></select></td><td><input id="inputResponsavel" type="text" role="textbox" class="FormElement ui-widget-content ui-corner-all"></td><td> <img src="img/search.png" width="25" height="25"></td></table></td>');
$('#tr_componente').html('<td class="CaptionTD">Componente</td><td class="DataTD"> <table><td><input id="comp" type="text" role="textbox"></td><td> <img src="img/search.png" width="25" height="25"></td></table></td>');
},
Why you replace existing jqGrid fields with another HTML code? Additionally it seems strange to set <table> inside of the field 'Responsável'. How you imagine that jqGrid get the results from such custom fields? Is it not more easy to append or prepend standard input fields of the Add/Edit form with additional information. In the case the standard fields with the standard ids will stay unchanged and you will have less problems. jqGrid will get the information from the fields without any problems. If one uses jQuery UI Autocomplete or jQuery UI Datepicker controls it do that.
If you really need custom field you should follow the documentation and use edittype: "custom". Look at the demo from the answer for more information.

Enhanced Rich Text field showing div and p tags

I have a collect task in Sharepoint 2010 with a Enhanced Rich Text box. In the list it shows the p and div tags.
<div class="ExternalClass1458740DC98941C3A3589359A3017AAA"><p>Approved - Rev D</p></div>
This is the field where the text is coming from.
<td width="75%" class="ms-formbody" >
<SharePoint:FormField runat="server" id="ff3{$Pos}" ControlMode="Edit" FieldName="DocCtlAdmin_x0020_Comment1234567" __designer:bind="{ddwrt:DataBind('u',concat('ff3',$Pos),'Value','ValueChanged','ID',ddwrt:EscapeDelims(string(#ID)) , '#DocCtlAdmin_x0020_Comment1234567')}"/>
<SharePoint:FieldDescription runat="server" id="ff3description{$Pos}" FieldName="DocCtlAdmin_x0020_Comment1234567" ControlMode="Edit"/>
</td>
Any insight as to why or how to remove would be appreciated
Simple answer is: In your display view add disable-output-escaping="yes" to your XSL statement like so:
xsl:value-of select="#CMImplPlan" disable-output-escaping="yes"
This will remove character output escaping for HTML characters.
Issue is you are using RichHTMLField to get the input from your end users for this field. So sharepoint adds some HTML tag.
but
when you are displaying you are using FormField, which is text based, so it shows all the HTML tags also.
So solution is :
1. Use RichHTMLField for both input and display
2. Use FormField/ Simple textbox for both input and display
3. Write a custom control / control extender to clean all the HTML before outputting it
4. Also a less recommended solution will be to search this tags on page via jQuery and remove them.
