How to delete a project in rallydev - alm

I'm using the community edition of RallyDev, so I accept that I have limited functionality.
It's quite clear I am limited to 1 workspace, and 10 team members. But it doesn't say anything about the number of projects allowed.
I need to create a new project.
I'm quite happy to delete the existing project, or create a new one, whatever does the trick. I'm even happy to delete the workspace containing the project, and start afresh. Hell, I'll even delete my account and start over if necessary.
But for the life of me, I cannot find any way to do it. All I get is messages that "You cannot delete the workspace with an open project" / "You cannot close the last open project"
And there is no function I can find, either in the app or the documentation that explains how to start a new project.
I've logged a case with RallyDev, but I'm not sure I'll get an answer due to the low priority of my request.
Any suggestions?

I'm quite impressed with RallyDev's response... contrary to my expectations, my query got a response within 12 hours saying that
Community edition accounts cannot create or delete projects.
The only options are to:
Upgrade to enterprise edition, or
cleanout existing artifacts and recreate, or
create a new trial account.
(The online support documentation does not explain this).
Hope it helps someone.

Access Core Data from extension without provisioning profile on macOS?

I'd like to add a Quick Look extension to my program, but in order to be useful, it would have to access the Core Data stack, which seems to require me to add an App Group and a provisioning profile to the project.
Until now, it has been possible for anyone to download the project from Github and compile and run it out of the box. All project targets are set to Team: None and Sign to Run Locally. If I add my provisioning profile to the project, this will no longer work. They will have to create and add their own provisioning profile and change the Signing & Capabilities settings on each of the 26 targets (there seems to be no way to do them all at once). And the profile will have to be renewed every year.
My question is, is there any way around this? Is such a major change really necessary for what amounts to accessing a file inside the program's own bundle (and another in its Application Support folder?)
EDIT: As was pointed out to me on the Apple Developer forum, you don't need a provisioning profile as long as you prefix the group name with the development team identifier. This still won't make it build out of the box, though. You will still need a developer account and set a team on every target.
I had missed that you are supposed to have a team identifier as the prefix for the group name. That still doesn't solve the problem that my project will no longer build out of the box for anyone who downloads it from Github, but it answers the question asked in the subject line.

How to synchronize source code from one TFS to another TFS

We are maintaining code for one of our clients.
Initially, we copied all the source code that they have and added it to our TFS 2012.
We modify the code any time they need a bug fix and give the client deployment packages.
Now, client wants all the latest code in their TFS 2012 as well.
Is there a way to update their source code with our changes? ...
preferably automatically (i.e. power shell script) and preferably with history of changes.
There are many approaches each with some pros and cons. The following are the main options I would suggest.
Database backup and restore
This is the only path that guarantees full fidelity. It has some technical difficulties (e.g. SQL Server version and editions) and political (how much information you care to expose, how much effort you want to put in sanitizing your data).
Project synchronization
There are some tools, most notably the Integration Platform, that use the API to read and reply the changes from one system to the other. It requires that the syncing tool can see both systems via HTTP(S).
It gives you the flexibility to project only some data (say source code not work items).
Keep in mind that you will always loose something in the process: the Changeset number will never match, some users details.
Dumb dump
Give up conserving full history and be content to share the code.
This is the simplest to implement: get all the code, ship and check into the other system. You can associate release notes in the check-in.
Two simple scripts using TF.exe is all you need.
You can use TFS Integration Tool to achieve the code migration(TFS-to-TFS). TFS Integration Tool moving data between two different servers. The migration is done through the APIs of TFS, and there also some limitations.(Check the above link for more info)

How do I delete a solution from TFS 2012

how do I delete a Team project from TFS?. I am using VS2012.
The situation is that a Team Project was created with the wrong name, and another one was created with the right name and all the code has been checked into that.
I just want to delete the wrongly created one. I cant find any specific help on this, although there are articles on how to do it on if your TFS is hosted on visualstudio.com.
Apologies if this is a noddy question but I have looked for the answer and cant find it...
Thanks in advance
Jonathan
You can use the "TFSDeleteProject" command line tool to delete the team project.
Here is the usage:
TFSDeleteproject [/q] [/force] [/excludewss] /collection:URL TeamProjectName
TFSDeleteProject permanently destroys the team project, after which it cannot be recovered. You should backup all important project data before using TFSDeleteProject.
Required permissions
To use the TFSDeleteProject command, you must be a member of the Team Foundation Administrators security group or the Project Administrators security group.
You can use the link to delete the team project using the administrator console.

Azure Compute Emulator will not start

I have recently upgraded to the new Azure SDK (September 2011 v 1.5).
Ever since I have not been able to start the compute emulator. Consequently I can't debug the services on my local machine.
I have seen a suggestion that the problem lies with the fact that my user account has a space in it, so I renamed my account but that didn't make any difference. It may be that the problem is that my user profile path has a space in it. Changing the account name has no effect no the profile path.
On the msdn forums it was suggested that I remove *:808 binding in IIS Manager for Default Website. See MSDN Forums
Anyone have any other ideas?
Another option:
So, given the "rename your user account/regedit doesn't work for you, you may want to look at this MSDN article, which suggests you can just set an environment variable and run the emulator without mucking with the registry... not sure if setting the environment variable globally would let you run automatically within VS.NET without manually starting up the emulator the first time, but it is certainly easier.
Yes, the space(s) in your profile path are the issue, and this appears to be a regression for a bug that was found in a previous version of the emulator (the only reason I even thought to try logging in with a different account in the first place). I was literally just putting together a quick blog post here describing the same issue. You'll need to do some registry editing to fix all the references to your old profile path if you want to fix it, or just create a new user if you can deal with re-installing software (I love the Web Platform Installer, but I found out during this exercise that it doesn't do a good job installing for "all users").

Is JXTA project still alive ? "jxta.org" seems to be down?

Is JXTA project still active ? I am looking for a good Open Source Peer to peer solution, found JXTA articles, but "jxta.org" is not working, Is it still alive ? or got it moved to some where else ?
Have you been to http://jxta.kenai.com/ ? This seems to be the official site for now at least.
Even though many of the links found for JXTA on Google etc seem to be dead, development seems to be moving along with a new release of 2.7 recently.
One of the most active people on JXTA appears to be Jérôme Verstrynge (project lead maybe?) who has an account here on SO: JVerstry Hopefully he will come and give us more details!
He released a book as updated book on JXTA last year which I am about to buy from Amazon.
You can take a look at it on Scribd if you can bear to read it in that format ;-)
http://www.scribd.com/doc/47538921/Practical-JXTA-II
Take a look at http://java.net/projects/jxta/ and drill down for mailing list archives, forums and access details for the SVN repos for the various sub-projects
I think a lot of the reason things seem to be in limbo is that there is a proposal to move the project to be hosted as an 'incubator' project under Apache Software Foundation but Oracle are not allowing the guys to take the name JXTA with them (and so the new name Chaupal) and are currently remaining tight lipped over whether they will allow the project to be relicensed under the newer Apache license.
See here for more details: http://wiki.apache.org/incubator/ChaupalProposal
Personally I really hope the Apache move goes ahead, the project is is becoming more and more relevant in this day and age of walled garden platforms and centralised web services IMHO.
Edit: According to JVerstry the project hosting is moving to http://code.google.com/p/chaupal/ as we speak :-)
I am trying to get JXTA alive again:
see http://www.dzone.com/links/jxse_and_equinox_tutorial_part_1.html
Development for the jxta 2.8x release has been moved to the Chaupal Project. Currently a few bugfixes and a move to Spongycastle has been prepared. We hope to make a milestone release available soon.
