i would like to use my older Samsung netbook for some coding (php, apache, mysql).
But Ubuntu distribution is quite slow.
Can somebody recommend to me some ultra fast and efficient linux distribution for netbooks?
Thanks and regards.

Take a look into this link here
Although I would recommend you either of the following 2 distros for small memory consumption systems
CentOS minimal ( Just install the xWindow package and you will have a full fledge Centos system with a memory footprint of approximately 300MB)
DSL ( Damn Small Linux) is a well renowned linux distro with a 50 MB memory footprint.
I would personally recommend using CentOS since you can easily find packages of almost anything for CentOS without any issue

I checked all the documentation of couch DB. There is no mention of the system requirements.
I want to install CouchDB on AWS nano machine and wondering if it is possible.
Question
What are the CoupchDB minimum system requirements? (RAM, CPU, disk)
I have not seen any official minimum requirements. I have the smallest DigitalOcean droplet running Ubuntu Server with the CouchDB 2.1.1 on it (and it previously ran version 1.6.1). It works well, but is only used as a test machine for a development project. The spec is one CPU, 512mb RAM and 20gb SSD disk.
We run CouchDB in production on AWS using Docker. In general, we have found that we need at least a t2.medium for each node to keep up with the CPU and memory demands, i.e. each t2.medium instance has 2 CPU cores and 4GB memory.
We are planning on releasing a more in-depth analysis shortly.

Is there like some sort of Linux layer for macOS? I've seen some projects that can only run on Linux because they require the Linux kernel to work. Something like Cygwin maybe.
Thanks
I haven't come across any Linux-on-macOS system other than full virtualisation with software such as VMWare Fusion, Parallels, VirtualBox, or xhyve.
macOS does implement (most of) POSIX; it also shares some of the BSDs' APIs such as kqueue/kevent, plus of course a bunch of custom user-kernel APIs, some of them inherited from Mach. There's also an X11 implementation. (although the results are rarely particularly attractive) A lot of Linux kernel APIs do have macOS equivalents, even if they're not identical. You should be able to port many (most?) projects which currently only work on Linux to the Mac; the amount of effort involved will of course vary. It'll usually be easier if it already works on a BSD.
You'll need to be more specific to get a more specific answer.

I've genuine windows 7 laptop(Sony vaio - i3).
My system is too slow in normal mode that win10 installer does not run.
But it's system is faster if I'm in safe mode.
How do I upgrade my OS to windows 10 in SAFE mode ?
I think you should try and fix the issue of your computer running slow. There are lot of things that can make your system run slow. But you should try run cleanup and defrag ur hard drive. Also disable some start up programs and reduce apps running in background.
Concerning upgrading to Windows 10, it is not necessary you have to use media creation tool. You can download an ISO file online and create an installation media with it. You can get windows 10 iso file from websites like getintopc. Less I forgot, try and download November update ISO file.

I've been trying to update eglibc to fix a Debian 6 Squeeze system that is vulnerable to the GHOST exploit, but I haven't been able to so far.
I've gone through the relevant instructions here but my system still remains vulnerable. (I am checking vulnerability by running the script located here). My libc version after update is 2.11.3-4.
I notice that on Debian's Security Tracker that there is a fixed version of eglibc for eglibc on squeeze (lts), but not squeeze. I am running squeeze.
How can I fix my version of squeeze? Do I need to upgrade to squeeze (lts)? If so, is that a painful and involved process or a simple and easy process?
Much appreciated - thanks.
See a similar question on SO. You really do need to upgrade to Squeeze LTS, but it’s simple enough if you’re running i386 or amd64; the Debian wiki has all the info.
Get eglibc's source and compile to a .deb yourself.

I use IntelliJidea over Ubuntu.
I'm going to switch from Ubuntu 12.04 to freeBSD and I'd like to make sure that IntelliJidea will work on freeBSD too.
Is Linux IntelliJidea installation package good for freeBSD?
Jetbrains lists the system requirements as
GNOME or KDE desktop
1 GB RAM minimum, 2 GB RAM recommended
300 MB hard disk space + at least 1 GB for caches
1024x768 minimum screen resolution
Oracle JDK 6 or JDK 7
Gnome and KDE will run on FreeBSD, so I assume that IntelliJidea will also.
