I wanna know when an address was changed, then I implemented a class to override the update method of Address.
The class works fine, but when I try to get all the addresses of the logged user I can't access, I only get the admin address.
This is my code to get the addresses:
List<Address> userAddresses = AddressLocalServiceUtil.getAddresses(user.getCompanyId(), Contact.class.getName(), user.getContactId());
for(Address userAddress : userAddresses) {
System.out.println(userAddress);
}
If I execute this code in other part it works fine, and I get the user address, it doesn't work in the class that override the update.
This is my class:
public class MyAddressLocalServiceImpl extends AddressLocalServiceWrapper {
public Address updateAddress(long addressId, String street1, String street2, String street3, String city, String zip, long regionId, long countryId, int typeId, boolean mailing, boolean primary) {
System.out.println("Actualizar una dirección");
try {
Address oldAddress = AddressLocalServiceUtil.getAddress(addressId);
Address aux = getWrappedService().updateAddress(addressId, street1, street2, street3, city, zip, regionId, countryId, typeId, mailing, primary);
System.out.println("Old Address " + oldAddress);
System.out.println("New Address " + aux);
long id_user = AddressLocalServiceUtil.getAddress(addressId).getUserId();
User user = UserLocalServiceUtil.getUser(id_user);
System.out.println("Obtenim les addresses");
List<Address> userAddresses = AddressLocalServiceUtil.getAddresses(user.getCompanyId(), Contact.class.getName(), user.getContactId());
for(Address userAddress : userAddresses) {
System.out.println(userAddress);
}
} catch (PortalException e) {
// TODO Auto-generated catch block
e.printStackTrace();
} catch (SystemException e) {
// TODO Auto-generated catch block
e.printStackTrace();
}
}
Any idea?
Thank you very much.
address_ table stores userId and userName of user who add that address thats why you are getting deviation.
From address_ table you can use classpk field as contactId instead of getting contactId from user.

For instance, I want to obtain the uri of a Spotify track and put it in another method as a String value, however I'm lost on how I'd go about doing that. I tried experimenting with SharedPreferences to get the value but getString method wasn't working. I was just wondering if there's a simpler way to getting say track.getUri (or any) in another method from the Async/Sync method. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
The code so far:
private static final String accessToken = "...";
private static final String id = "01iyCAUm8EvOFqVWYJ3dVX";
public static SharedPreferences.Editor editor;
private static final SpotifyApi spotifyApi = new SpotifyApi.Builder()
.setAccessToken(accessToken)
.build();
private static final GetTrackRequest getTrackRequest = spotifyApi.getTrack(id)
// .market(CountryCode.SE)
.build();
public static void getTrack_Sync() {
try {
final Track track = getTrackRequest.execute();
System.out.println("Name: " + track.getName());
} catch (IOException | SpotifyWebApiException | ParseException e) {
System.out.println("Error: " + e.getMessage());
}
}
#RequiresApi(api = Build.VERSION_CODES.N)
public void getTrack_Async() {
try {
final CompletableFuture<Track> trackFuture = getTrackRequest.executeAsync();
// Thread free to do other tasks...
// Example Only. Never block in production code.
final Track track = trackFuture.join();
String uri = track.getUri();
editor = getSharedPreferences("uri", 0).edit();
editor.putString("uri", uri);
editor.commit();
editor.apply();
System.out.println("Name: " + track.getUri());
} catch (CompletionException e) {
System.out.println("Error: " + e.getCause().getMessage());
} catch (CancellationException e) {
System.out.println("Async operation cancelled.");
}
}
public void go() {
getTrack_Async();
// String value = editor.getString("uri", )
}
To get the track you need some kind of information to start with. e.g. I have the spotify trackId and can find the track (synchronously) like this:
public Track getTrack(String trackId) {
return spotifyApi.getTrack(trackId).build().execute();
}
Now the Track object (specifically com.wrapper.spotify.model_objects.specification.Track) provides a lot of information. e.g. the field uri.
So you could do just:
public void run(String trackId) {
Track track = spotifyApi.getTrack(trackId).build().execute();
String uri = track.uri;
// now call something else with the uri?
}
Does that help? Your question was not entirely clear for me.
I've been trying to insert String, Date(now) and duration to the table.
Here is my code: At the args section (at the end) "app.insert("name", "date_added","path", "duration");" those values I mentioned as " date_added and duration" it wants me to convert them into String with an error. How can I prevent this happening and let the code enter date(now) and duration to app.insert section?
package xxxxx;
import java.sql.*;
public class SAMPLE_SOUND {
private Connection connect() {
String url = "jdbc:sqlite:neural.db";
Connection conn = null;
try {
conn = DriverManager.getConnection(url);
} catch (SQLException e) {
System.out.println(e.getMessage());
}
return conn;
}
public void insert(String name,Date date_added, String path, Time duration){
String sql= " INSERT INTO SAMPLE_SOUND(name,date_added,path,duration) VALUES(?,?,?,?)";
try(Connection conn = this.connect();
PreparedStatement pstmt = conn.prepareStatement(sql)){
pstmt.setString(1,name);
pstmt.setDate(2, date_added);
pstmt.setString(3,path);
pstmt.setTime(4, duration);
pstmt.executeUpdate();
} catch (SQLException e){
System.out.println(e.getMessage());
}
}
public static void main(String[] args) {
SAMPLE_SOUND app = new SAMPLE_SOUND();
app.insert("name", "date_added","path", "duration");
}
}
it wants me to convert them into String with an error
No, not at all. It signals that you're trying to pass strings as arguments, elthough the method expects a Date and a Time. The correct fix is of course to pass a Date and a Time. But IntelliJ doesn't know that, and it suggests that maybe you actually do want to pass Strings, and the arguments types should then be changed to String.
Remember, you are the smart developer. It's up to you to decide what to do.
Please respect the Java naming conventions.
I need to create the Structure and Template progrmatically through java code.I used following code snippets.
Structure:
public void createStructure(String userName,long userId){
log_.info("Inside create structure ");
long structureId=115203;
DDMStructure ddmStructure=DDMStructureLocalServiceUtil.createDDMStructure(structureId);
ddmStructure.setName("MigrationStructure");
ddmStructure.setDescription("This Structure created programatically");
ddmStructure.setUserId(userId);
ddmStructure.setUserName(userName);
File fXmlFile = new File("D:/FilesDataMigration/structure.xml");
try {
Document document = SAXReaderUtil.read(fXmlFile);
ddmStructure.setDocument(document);
DDMStructureLocalServiceUtil.addDDMStructure(ddmStructure);
}catch (DocumentException e) {
// TODO Auto-generated catch block
e.printStackTrace();
} catch (SystemException e) {
// TODO Auto-generated catch block
e.printStackTrace();
}
log_.info("Inside create structure done");
}
Template:
public void createTemplate(String userName,long userId){
log_.info("Inside create template ");
long templateId=12504;
DDMTemplate ddmTemplate=DDMTemplateLocalServiceUtil.createDDMTemplate(templateId);
ddmTemplate.setName("MigrationTemplate");
ddmTemplate.setDescription("This Template created programatically");
ddmTemplate.setUserId(userId);
ddmTemplate.setUserName(userName);
try {
BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new FileReader("D:/FilesDataMigration/template.txt"));
StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder();
String line = br.readLine();
while (line != null) {
sb.append(line);
sb.append(System.lineSeparator());
line = br.readLine();
}
String script = sb.toString();
ddmTemplate.setScript(script);
DDMTemplateLocalServiceUtil.addDDMTemplate(ddmTemplate);
}catch(IOException e){
e.printStackTrace();
} catch (SystemException e) {
// TODO Auto-generated catch block
e.printStackTrace();
}
log_.info("Inside create template done");
}
The above snippets are executing properly with out any exceptions But unable to see in the content section of Control Panel.Suggest me if anything wrong
There are couple of issues with your code:
You are not setting all the required properties, like groupId, companyId, classNameId, structureKey, dates etc.
There isn't any setName and setDescription method for DDMStructure or DDMTemplate accepting String argument (Liferay 6.2 GA2). Instead, there are only setNameMap and setDescriptionMap methods for both accepting Map<Locale, String>.
Use dynamic ids (structureId and templateId) in place of hard-coded ids, as following:
DDMStructure ddmStructure = DDMStructureUtil.create(CounterLocalServiceUtil.increment());and
DDMTemplate ddmTemplate = DDMTemplateUtil.create(CounterLocalServiceUtil.increment());
For classNameId, you can get it using it's value, like:
ClassName className = ClassNameLocalServiceUtil.getClassName("com.liferay.portlet.journal.model.JournalArticle");
long classNameId = className.getClassNameId();
Also, better to use update over populated object in place of adding:
DDMStructureUtil.update(ddmStructure);
and
DDMTemplateUtil.update(ddmTemplate);
Additionally, if you have access to the ThemeDisplay object, you can get groupId, companyId, userId, userFullName from it. Also, set new Date() for createDate and modifiedDate properties.
How to update particular record in azure mobile Service. For Example I have a table in azure called country having two columns
country_id
country_name
If I want to update the record with country_id=5 from USA to United State of America. How to Perform this.
//Global Variable
private MobileServiceCollection<country, country> items;
private IMobileServiceTable<country> todoTable = App.MobileService.GetTable<country>();
class country
{
public string id { get; set; }
public string country_name { get; set; }
public int country_id { get; set; }
}
private async void btnUpdate_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)
{
var change = await todoTable
.Where(todoItem => todoItem.country_name == tboxcName.Text)
.ToListAsync();
await todoTable.UpdateAsync(change);
}
The above code I tried from this post, but did not find out.
You might want to try this:
private async void btnUpdate_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)
{
var change = await todoTable
.Where(todoItem => todoItem.id.Equals(tboxcName.Text))
.ToListAsync();
if(change != null){
var toChange= change.First();
toChange.country_name="United State of America";
await todoTable.UpdateAsync(toChange);
}
else{
// you have nothing to change, you might throw an exception
}
}
In the textbox you should enter the id you want to update, in your case it's 5. Then I make a linq query selecting all the items with Id "5", this gets me a list.
I check if the list is not void, you would want to threat the case when the list is null. If it's not null I take the first element (as you are in the mobile services the id field is unique in the database, so you don't have to threat this boundary case (although if you really want to be sure it's always better to do it)).
The first element in the list will have the ID=5, so we change the object updating it's country name to "United States of America" (in your case, you don't care of the previous value, as you are updating a specific ID). Then you update this item. The mobile service API will then issue a patch request, and the database will patch it according to the Object ID.
Hope this helps!
Try with this C# code!
private async void btnUpdate_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)
{
var filteredRecords = await todoTable.Where(
todoItem => todoItem.country_id == 5)
.ToListAsync();
foreach (var item in filteredRecords)
{
item.country_name="United States of America";
await todoTable.UpdateAsync(item);
}
}
I have several tables in my database that have read-only fields that get set on Inserting and Updating, namely: AddDate (DateTime), AddUserName (string), LastModDate (DateTime), LastModUserName (string).
All of the tables that have these values have been set to inherit from the following interface:
public interface IUserTrackTable
{
string AddUserName { get; set; }
DateTime AddDate { get; set; }
string LastModUserName { get; set; }
DateTime LastModDate { get; set; }
}
As such, I have the following method on the Edit.aspx page:
protected void DetailsDataSource_Updating(object sender, LinqDataSourceUpdateEventArgs e)
{
IUserTrackTable newObject = e.NewObject as IUserTrackTable;
if (newObject != null)
{
newObject.LastModUserName = User.Identity.Name;
newObject.LastModDate = DateTime.Now;
}
}
However, by the time it hits this method, the e.OriginalObject has already lost the values for all four fields, so a ChangeConflictException gets thrown during the actual Update. I have tried adding the four column names to the DetailsView1.DataKeyNames array in the Init event handler:
protected void Page_Init(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
// other things happen before this
var readOnlyColumns = table.Columns.Where(c => c.Attributes.SingleOrDefaultOfType<ReadOnlyAttribute>(ReadOnlyAttribute.Default).IsReadOnly).Select(c => c.Name);
DetailsView1.DataKeyNames = DetailsView1.DataKeyNames.Union<string>(readOnlyColumns).ToArray<string>();
DetailsView1.RowsGenerator = new CustomFieldGenerator(table, PageTemplates.Edit, false);
// other things happen after this
}
I've tried making that code only happen on PostBack, and still nothing. I'm at a lose for how to get the values for all of the columns to make the round-trip.
The only thing the CustomFieldGenerator is handling the ReadOnlyAttribute, following the details on C# Bits.
UPDATE: After further investigation, the values make the round trip to the DetailsView_ItemUpdating event. All of the values are present in the e.OldValues dictionary. However, they are lost by the time it gets to the LinqDataSource_Updating event.
Obviously, there are the "solutions" of making those columns not participate in Concurrency Checks or other ways that involve hard-coding, but the ideal solution would dynamically add the appropriate information where needed so that this stays as a Dynamic solution.
i Drovani, I assume you want data auditing (see Steve Sheldon's A Method to Handle Audit Fields in LINQ to SQL), I would do this in the model in EF4 you can do it like this:
partial void OnContextCreated()
{
// Register the handler for the SavingChanges event.
this.SavingChanges += new EventHandler(context_SavingChanges);
}
private static void context_SavingChanges(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
// handle auditing
AuditingHelperUtility.ProcessAuditFields(objects.GetObjectStateEntries(EntityState.Added));
AuditingHelperUtility.ProcessAuditFields(objects.GetObjectStateEntries(EntityState.Modified), InsertMode: false);
}
internal static class AuditingHelperUtility
{
internal static void ProcessAuditFields(IEnumerable<Object> list, bool InsertMode = true)
{
foreach (var item in list)
{
IAuditable entity = item as IAuditable;
if (entity != null)
{
if (InsertMode)
{
entity.InsertedBy = GetUserId();
entity.InsertedOn = DateTime.Now;
}
entity.UpdatedBy = GetUserId();
entity.UpdatedOn = DateTime.Now;
}
}
}
}
Sadly this is not possible with EF v1
