Running Grails 2.3.1 in debug mode from linux - linux

I'm trying to run Grails 2.3.1 en debug mode either from console or IntelliJ IDEA 12, but I always get the following error:
grails run-app --debug-fork
| Running Grails application
ERROR: transport error 202: bind failed: Address already in use
FATAL ERROR in native method: JDWP No transports initialized, jvmtiError=AGENT_ERROR_TRANSPORT_INIT(197)
ERROR: JDWP Transport dt_socket failed to initialize, TRANSPORT_INIT(510)
JDWP exit error AGENT_ERROR_TRANSPORT_INIT(197): No transports initialized [../../../src/share/back/debugInit.c:750]

First of all I configure my IDEA Debug mode.
For grails <2.4
I'm doing next:
1. grails-debug run-app
It's opening port 5005 and waiting for your IDE to connect
2. Go to IDEA and hit "bug" button
3. Your grails console automatically runs application
For grails 2.4
1. "grails --debug run-app"
2. Hit "bug" button

I solved it as follows
i switched and reswitched the grails version with gvm default ...
i checked a fresh copy

Flutter Web - error output points to JS file instead of dart file

I have a Flutter Web project, and when an error is thrown, I can't open the dart file where the error was thrown, because the error line points to a JS file:

How can I make it to show the dart file where the error occurred, instead of a JS file?
I'm using Flutter Channel stable 2.5.2, Android Studio version 2020.3.
I have found a workaround for this issue.
You basically have to install a third-party patch; it will translate the paths in JS and point to the right line in dart file.
Download the patch and follow the instructions here: https://github.com/obeobe/flutter-web-exception-mapper
Optionally you can see trace of dart files in the browser.
Make sure you have source maps enabled in your browser.

Critical error while starting Eclipse (neon-3-linux-gtk-x86_64) for Java EE developer

First of all, I tried to run eclipse (eclipse-jee-neon-3-linux-gtk-x86_64) normally. Each time, it showed a splash screen for few seconds and disappers. Then I check with terminal. Running in the terminal with command ./eclipse prints the error messages. I have attached the full terminal output below.
nalin#nalin:/opt/eclipse-neon$ ./eclipse
org.eclipse.m2e.logback.configuration: The org.eclipse.m2e.logback.configuration bundle was activated before the state location was initialized. Will retry after the state location is initialized.

Job found still running after platform shutdown. Jobs should be canceled by the plugin that scheduled them during shutdown: org.eclipse.epp.internal.mpc.ui.wizards.MarketplaceDropAdapter$1
Any idea what's going on ?

Chrome or Firefox fails to start on selenium node machine if the node is started from a shell script at the startup

I have a shell script to register the node machine to hub at startup.
The script contains:
java -jar ~/selenium/selenium-server.jar -role node -hub http://HUB_IP:4444/grid/register -browser browserName="firefox",maxInstances=5,Platform="LINUX",applicationName="VM_NAME" -browser browserName="chrome",maxInstances=5,Platform="LINUX",applicationName="VM_NAME" -Dwebdriver.chrome.driver=~/selenium/chromedriver
The script starts fine in the startup and even the node gets registered to hub, but, when I start a job from Jenkins its gives below error in case of Firefox:
FAILED CONFIGURATION: #BeforeClass setup
org.openqa.selenium.WebDriverException: Unable to connect to host 127.0.0.1 on port 7055 after 45000 ms. Firefox console output:
Error: no display specified
When I start a job from Jenkins its gives below error in case of Chrome:
FAILED CONFIGURATION: #BeforeClass setup
org.openqa.selenium.WebDriverException: unknown error: Chrome failed to start: exited abnormally
(Driver info: chromedriver=2.20.353124 (035346203162d32c80f1dce587c8154a1efa0c3b),platform=Linux 3.13.0-68-generic x86_64) (WARNING: The server did not provide any stacktrace information)
Note:
1. Using later version of chrome, firefox & Selenium jar files
2. When the script is run manually, everything works fine.
3. Start up batch file in windows works fine without any problem.

FATAL ERROR in native method: JDWP No transports initialized error while starting hybris server in debug mode

While trying to start my hybrisserver in debug mode I got the following error messages and hybrisserver stopped. I tried but not able to solve. Any help please.

#thijsraets is correct. Either you have to check where is the port (8000) has been occupied or you can override the default value to something else in local.properties file.
tomcat.debugjavaoptions=-Xdebug -Xnoagent -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,server=y,address=8001,suspend=n
Run "ant all". This will configure debug for port 8001.
OR
You can change the JVM parameters in wrapper-debug.conf file...
wrapper.java.additional.23=-Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,server=y,address=8001,suspend=n
People who encounter this problem seem to already have something else bound to the debug port, try changing the port in: tomcat.debugjavaoptions
The same thing happened to me and tried to kill the server and restarted it safely. I followed these steps:
ps aux | grep java . this will help me to find the PID , Process ID
kill -9 PID
If you want to kill all the tomcat processes you can do
pkill -9 -f tomcat
this will restart the server safely.

Address already in use error when Apache Felix starts

I deleted the directory felix-cache. When I started again the Felix framework I get this error:
ERROR: transport error 202: bind failed: Address already in use
ERROR: JDWP Transport dt_socket failed to initialize, TRANSPORT_INIT(510)
JDWP exit error AGENT_ERROR_TRANSPORT_INIT(197): No transports initialized [debugInit.c:750]
FATAL ERROR in native method: JDWP No transports initialized, jvmtiError=AGENT_ERROR_TRANSPORT_INIT(197)
Any idea how I can fix this?
Another process is still running using the specific port. Check remaining processes using ps -ef | grep java and kill it.
You seem to be launching the JVM in remote debugging mode, but there is another JVM running that is also in remote debug mode using the same port number. You cannot share the port number between multiple processes. If you need to debug two Java programs simultaneously then you will have to configure them to use different ports.
