Dreamweaver Coding Hint won't go away - dreamweaver

I've had this issue several times and usually I can just shut down the program and restart it. But this time I have a bunch of windows open and I don't want to restart Dreamweaver.
My problem is that Dreamweaver brought up a code hint, but the code hint box now won't go away. It just sits there floating in the middle of the page. It doesn't matter if I click to Preview or any other tab in Dreamweaver, it still just sits on top of everything.
I'm working on a Mac, Dreamweaver CC (cloud, fully updated). Anyone else have this problem???

This has been a HUGE PAIN for me as well! You can make the code hint disappear though by finishing out an element that is in the code hint box. For instance if the code hint box appears and you can see class in the drop down... create a <div class="xyz"> real quick and the code hit box will dissipate after you close the quotes on the class because you used an element in that box. As to why this continually happens on the Mac version I have no idea, but I hope they fix it soon!

It's a known bug since years as you can read here: https://forums.adobe.com/message/7745689
Someone suggests as a workaround to set the Coding Hint delay to 0 (as said here: https://forums.adobe.com/message/7745689#7745689) but for me, in Dreamweaver CC 2015 Windows fully updated via cloud app, this bug still occurs while I code JS files.
Awaiting for a final fix, I hope this suggestion can be useful for you on Mac. :)

excel active X buttons getting bigger every action

This is a question with the same title as here:
VBA Active-X buttons getting bigger with every action
I guess the problem is the same.
The question is nevertheless from 2014!!! and it does not really have an answer.
In my case the buttons were NOT created programatically, but just clicking in insert activeX control, button, and then click for writing the VBA behind.
In order to better illustrate the problem I made a video with my handy:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBiu2FfRxQU
IN the video you can see how every time a button is clicked it gets bigger.
as note aside I have to say that this only happens when I connect remotely with my computer via a think client. Nevertheless both screens are the same (i.e. have the same resolution).
This is of course very annoying because it makes almost impossible to use home working since connecting to my excel at work makes all the buttons go crazy in size.
As #TimStack and #jvdv has pointed out this is a known issue of Microsoft, i.e. a BUG, there since many years.
Hence there is no solution but workarounds.
So stay away from controlX if you don't want to get surprises.
I had faced this issue today itself. And found very strange solution to this problem.
I just tried to resize the button where I was facing the issue and it was solved.
Hope this works with you.

Logisim Task Bar Issue

When I open Logisim on my Windows 10 device, the task bar options are all clumped together and difficult to read(Screenshot tagged in the post). But looks fine on mac.
Screenshot of Left side Task Bar
Any help would be great.
Try pressing Windows Key + Up key.
Another possible solution is to hit the Windows button. This tends to bring up the task bar in most programs, for me, at least.
This may seem off topic, but I'd create a manifest file for this particular program if it occurs only there. That may solve the problem if done correctly.

Dreamweaver CC Color Coding Is Not Working

I just got Dreamweaver CC and the color coding is not working what-so-ever. I've already done the following:
I tried to put checkmark by "Syntax Coloring"under the View menu, but it will not let me check it. It's not grayed out; it just won't let me check it.
I downloaded a new Color xml file, and placed it in the Configurations folder.
I tried changing the colors around in a file in the Preference menu, but it won't apply the colors.
I deleted the Configurations folder so it will reset to default, but nothing.
You guys are my last resort. If I can't get it to work I will have to re-install the entire program. Any suggestions?
Honestly, your best bet after going through all of those steps would be to, unfortunately, utilize your final option of re-installing Dreamweaver CC. Sorry if this isn't the answer you were expecting but that's what I would do at this point. Good luck!
I figured it out; and, I'm posting the solution to my own problem so readers won't endure as much suffering as I did trying to find the solution to this problem. This little bitty tinny issue made my life miserable for several days. Anyway, look below for the answer:
I had my HP Envy laptop running Win 8.1 color displayed set to high contrast. Big mistake! I changed it back to display colors and my problem was solved.

Browser issue with constant refresh when typing in text field

This is more of a computer question than a programming question and it I am posting in the wrong place, please let me know. My system is running Windows 8, 64bit. Regardless of which browser I use - IE or Chrome, every time I attempt to type something into a text field, the screen refreshes. I have also noticed that the refresh symbol starts to flash. I can get that to stop by pressing the ESC key, but then the screen goes blank. I have done a complete scan of my computer and found no viruses. Any ideas would be great appreciated as this is making things very difficult, including typing this message.
I uninstalled and reinstalled and that seemed to fix the problem.

Dreamweaver falsely prompting about modified files

I use Dreamweaver 8 at work, and recently I've been having an issue with open files. When I move focus away from Dreamweaver to another piece of software (usually firefox for testing the results of uploaded files), and then move back to Dreamweaver I get a prompt saying: "This file has been modified outside of Dreamweaver. Do you want to reload it".
Edit: this is for every single file I have open in Dreamweaver so is quite unbearable!
Clicking yes or no both show exactly the same page! Nothing's changed, and nothing should have!
Any ideas why this might be happening? It's causing some issues because I work with another developer at work and I don't want my work overwriting. I assure you that he's not working on any of the same files or anything, and we've worked together for months and this has never happened before.
I'm very well aware that I can turn this prompt off, but in cases where files have actually changed, I'd want to be prompted.
I know Dreamweaver 8 is a joke.. but it's what we've got, and it's been fine up until now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)
That behavior exists in CS5 too, so I'm pretty sure it is a bug. Are you working off a shared network drive?
