JavaFX: Repaint on desktop unlock - javafx-2

Is there a way to repaint the screen of a JavaFX application when a user returns to the machine and unlocks the computer.
Reason I ask this is that after a user launches the JavaFX application I developed and then locks the desktop and comes back after a few minutes, the JavaFX application screen is blackened out. If the application window is resized, the normal behavior is restored.
I think if the application screen is repainted on desktop unlock that might solve this problem. But the problem at hand is how to capture the desktop unlock event.
Any pointers?
P.S.- I experience this behavior in all javafx applications. Not sure if this is a bug with the current javafx release.

Going to Android Task Switcher causes Native window to be destroyed

If my NDK based app is running, and I swipe up from bottom, to get the Task Switcher, my Native Window is destroyed.
Is this normal behaviour? I see this on Android9, and I could have sworn that going to the task switcher in older Android OS versions would not destroy the window?
So bringing up the task switcher causes onNativeWindowDestroyed() being triggered, which leads to a APP_CMD_TERM_WINDOW to be posted and handled by my app by destroying all its OpenGL resources.
It seems wasteful to completely destroy everything, and rebuild everything, merely because the user brought up the task switcher, even if the same task is foregrounded again?
Is this according to spec? Can it be avoided?
My app uses android_native_app_glue.c and properly implements the Android app life-cycle.

How to enable Program has stopped working dialog?

When apps crash, Windows used to popup a dialog box saying {Program} has stopped working with a Close button. I no longer see this dialog box on Windows 10. How do I get it back?
I thought perhaps I messed up some registry setting, so I downloaded a Windows 10 VM from Microsoft, crashed a program in the VM and I still didn't get a dialog box. So there must have been some change to Windows.
I tried tweaking the AeDebug registry key, but still couldn't get the dialog box back.
The reason I like the dialog box is because it tells me right away that some program has a problem that I can investigate further.
As described here, you need to set the Windows Error Reporting setting DontShowUI=0 with the Registry Editor or Group Policy Editor.
sounds a little dumb when i tell that but, when app stops working for me i usually press the left mouse button a lot in the windows (of the app) until it will display the message to end the process

How to create a taskbar application similar to Touch Keyboard on Windows 8.1?

On Windows 8.1, if you right-click on the taskbar and point to Toolbars you can turn on Touch Keyboard, which makes a small image of a keyboard appear at the far right of the task bar just to the left of the notification area.
I want to develop an application that can make a presence here with a dynamically updating display of a time string (a count down application).
Can anyone advise if this is possible using C# .NET?
From various research I've discovered it is extremely difficult to determine exactly what Microsoft refer to this utility as. I have seen 'deskbar', 'deskband' and obviously it's under 'toolbars' in the task bar context menu. It also seems every major OS release changes the terminology and functionality completely. So bonus points if anyone can clear up what it's called on Windows 8.1 in addition to what term to research or MSDN article to read about developing an application that sits there.

GUI (Window) mono application goes into hang condition after switching GUI window tab to another window and get back to GUI window on mono

I am running one .NET binary using mono on my Linux platform PC and it is working fine on process startup.
But when i moved my running GUI window to another window and get back to that windows at that time , My GUI Application goes into the hang state because i can not press any button on My GUI window.
I have also used all the optimization option step by step while running .NET binary using mono but still causes the GUI hang issue.
I have debug my .NET binary with some debugging options and found that whenever GUI window application goes into stuck condition at that GDIplus library code is running. so, it seems that there is something is going wrong into the GDIplus library.
does any one have idea what is happening here or any one have faced this issue before?
Please let me know if anyone need any more information and give valuable feedback as sson as possible.

Minimizing application with qt

I created (in Qt5 under Linux) a small QMainWindow app.
I noticed that when I'm clicking on the minimizing button, I cannot see my app anymore. In other term, I cannot see it in the bar !?
I tried with docky, cairo-dock and native Mint bar and... nothing work !)
Any idea ?
Is this running it in the debug mode inside of Qt Creator? Maybe you have to deploy it and run it outside of Qt Creator for it to get its own button on the dock/taskbar.
If not, you might have a bug that should be reported to qt.
