Windows Azure: FTP issue When Connecting to Website - azure

I am trying to connect to website in win azure using filezilla. It connected fine for few minutes and I was able to upload the files. But then it stopped working. I am getting this message:
Response: 257 "/" is current directory.
Command: TYPE I
Response: 200 Type set to I.
Command: PASV
Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode (137,117,88,16,40,32).
Command: LIST
Response: 150 Opening BINARY mode data connection.
Response: 550 The network connection was aborted by the local system.
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing
I have tried setting transfer mode to ACTIVE and few other suggestions, but nothing seems to work. What could be the problem?

There might be a time-out issue on the server. You will need to tell your FTP client to keep the connection alive so that it doesn't start a second connection while the first connection is still alive.
To set this in FileZilla client, go to Edit, Settings, Connection, FTP, and check "Send FTP keep-alive commands" checkbox.
For more detailed explanation of the problem, visit: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/wats/archive/2013/12/13/setting-up-a-passive-ftp-server-in-windows-azure-vm.aspx Scroll towards the bottom and read the "Points to consider from Azure SLB perspective" section.
I had the same problem with my FTP on Azure (getting 550 errors) and checking the "Send FTP keep-alive commands" checkbox above solved my problem.
Hope this helps!

The error message:
Response: 550 The network connection was aborted by the local system
Suggests that there is an error in your local network.
This error is not within Windows Azure, but within your local network (and appears to only be triggered by FileZilla). Contact your system administrator or Internet Service Provider. Also, please try first solving the problem yourself using something like this.

Create certificate let's encrypt with iis

in windows server 2012, I installed IIS.
I created a site with host name host1 (name of windows server) and create a folder called host1 under C:\inetpub\wwwroot, contains a html file.
when navigate http://host1/, I got the desired content of the html file
Now, I have to create a certificate using that thread.
I success all the steps, but stucked on step 7:
at that step, the cmd of (wacs.exe) is closed by it self.
Could you please help me solving that issue ? Big thanks.
To get the reason behind the issue you need to check the event viewer log.
I tried to reproduce your issue. I got the below error in event viewer:
A fatal error occurred while creating an SSL client credential. The internal error state is 10013.
you will find this log under the windows-> system logs.
The reason behind the issue is on your machine TLS 1.2 is not enabled.
To resolve the issue you could follow the below steps:
1)open the registry editor.
2) go to the below section:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.2
set below value to the particular section:
client:
"DisabledByDefault"=dword:00000000
"Enabled"=dword:00000001
Server:
"DisabledByDefault"=dword:00000000
"Enabled"=dword:00000001
Note: Do not forget to restart your machine after editing registry key values.

Why am I getting SSL_read errors and Rpc_client_frag_read errors when trying to Remote Desktop

I'm trying to set up a remote desktop session for monitoring specific systems at my place of work. I only have access to a Linux machine and I need to connect via a terminal server gateway. I am using FreeRDP to do this and i am using the following command to create the connection:
xfreerdp /d:** /u:***** /p:******* /g:******.************.***
/v:****.*********.***** /port:3389 /size:1920x1080
I have hidden all connection details per my supervisors request however both he and I verified the correct information is entered into the fields.
When I send the connection through I get the following error:
Connected to ******.************.***:443
Connected to ******.************.***:443
TS Gateway Connection Success
Got stub length 4 with flags 3 and called 7
Got stub length 4 with flags 3 and called 6
SSL_read: I/O error: connection reset by peer (104)
Rpc_client_frag_read: error reading header
Would anyone have any idea of what I might be missing? I have even tried adding
/sec:rdp
to the script and even that produced the same error
Try rdp from a Windows system (or have someone else try from their system, since you don't have direct access to Windows). I know it won't solve your problem, but it may give you better information. I'm in a similar situation and got the same error message. I tried remmina instead of xfreerdp and got even less information than xfreerdp spits out.
From a Windows VM, at least I could tell when I got my domain\username & password right -- it told me my account was not allowed rdp access to that server. I'm figuring that means that there are accounts that can rdp in, but mine is not among them. Along the way, though, I found that the remote was using a certificate from an untrusted authority, which was useful information for my case.
If your Linux is old or hasn't been updated, do so. Your certificate store may be out of date. But it may also be that your company's Windows domain has certificates that Linux doesn't know about. It could be a simple matter that you're lacking the company-supplied cert (because they push it to all Windows machines on the domain, but your Linux machine doesn't get that "benefit").

WebDAV Server Error 401.2, connection issue with Windows Authentication after pausing virtual server/domain controller

We are connecting to a webdav server through IIS 6 using iPads running iAnnotate. Friday we performed some maintenance where all we really did was pause the virtual server/domain controller where the webdav is setup.
Ever since we did that, we are able to browse the webdav connection from iAnnotate on the iPads but when we try to sync a file back (PUT method I'm assuming) we get an error 411, which actually appears to be error "HTTP Error 401.2 - Unauthorized. You are not authorized to view this page due to invalid authentication headers", according to IIS.
Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas on this?
We figured out what was causing our issue although I may not be able to explain entirely why it mattered.
In IIS there is a setting in the "HTTP Response Headers" under "Set Common Headers" called "Enable HTTP keep-alive". We check marked this option as true and our Windows Authentication started working again.
It seemed to have something to do with the connection not staying open between requests and the application or IIS not realizing the connection was restarted during the SYNC operation.

FileZilla Connection timed out, Error Connecting to Server

I am having an issue with FileZilla, when I try access my FTP account, I get this:
Status: Connecting to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xx (Ip adds:port)
Error: Connection timed out
Error: Could not connect to server
Status: Waiting to retry...
Status: Connecting to (Ip adds:port)
Error: Connection timed out
Error: Could not connect to server
This was working fine till yesterday. It works on another pc, but its not working onn my pc now. I tried disabling Windows Firewall (as I am using Windows 8 OS). Also I completely reinstalled FileZilla, still that didn't do it. Is there anything more I can try?
I was connected to the Internet from another Laptop, with sharing the internet connection. So there was the problem, it had restricted to access the ports. When I connected directly to the Internet the problem was solved.
I had a similar issue. Turned out I was using an incorrect protocol to login to the ftp server. The ftp server was ssh secured. Selecting SFTP option instead of FTP worked for me.
https://vincent254.wordpress.com/2015/03/16/what-to-do-incase-you-get-this-filezilla-connection-error/
You might need to write the host in this format
ftp.example.com
This works if you are having the following error as well
ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server
Change Your Internet Connection then connect FileZilla
thanks

Problems connecting Visual Studio to Azure. target machine refused connection?

I have been uploading to Azure for at least six months. From this afternoon onwards I now get messages like this:
There was no endpoint listening at https://management.core.windows.net/xxxxxx/services/hostedservices that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.
Unable to connect to the remote server
No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:8888
Can anyone give me advice on what's wrong. I tried to upload a new management certificate. That worked fine but then said "authentication error".
I have the same problem. It doesn't matter if the Fiddler is ON/OFF or the computer has been restarted - the problem is in Fiddler Option.
The msg was: "Unable to connect to the remote server No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:8888"
Go=> Fiddler/Tools/Fiddler Option/
Connection Tab:
make sure that "Allow remote computers to connect" is NOT checked
make sure that "Monitor all connections" is NOT checked
Here is a sample video:

Hope this helps.
Can you please check if Fiddler is running or not? Normally when you run Fiddler it acts as a proxy and listens at port 8888.
Hope this helps.
I have the similar issue. When I use Visual Studio 2013 to download an extension. It can not connect the remote site.
Assi.NET's method doesn't work. Which means unchecked "Allow remote computers to connect" and "Monitor all connections" still can't get rid of the problem.
To fix it, I find in the machine config file, I added something to enable default proxy. Make sure you DISABLE it.
The correct code is:
<system.net>
<defaultProxy
enabled = "false"
useDefaultCredentials = "true">
<proxy autoDetect="false" bypassonlocal="false" proxyaddress="http://127.0.0.1:8888" usesystemdefault="false" />
</defaultProxy>
</system.net>
