'SConsEnvironment' object has no attribute 'M4' - scons

I keep getting this error when building on Mountain Lion using Apportable. How do I fix it ? or stop this appearing ?

The M4 error is caused when you are missing the Xcode Command Line tools.
Go to Xcode->Preferences->Downloads->Command Line Tools and click the install button.
Subsequent apportable builds will then find the m4 command properly.
The next SDK update (R11) will automatically address this by including an M4 and not relying upon the Xcode installation.

Error being thrown when trying to debug from JetBrains Rider: error HE0004: Could not load the framework 'DVTITunesSoftwareServiceFoundation'

I am unable to debug a Xamarin.iOS application out of JetBrains Rider 2022.2.2. This is the error that gets thrown when trying to deploy to the simulator:
error HE0004: Could not load the framework 'DVTITunesSoftwareServiceFoundation' (path: /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/SharedFrameworks/DVTITunesSoftwareServiceFoundation.framework/DVTITunesSoftwareServiceFoundation):

I had the same problem.
Let me guess... You just upgraded to XCode14 and the corresponding Command Line Tools?
Downgrading XCode and Command Line Tools to 13.4.1 helped me.
What worked for me
Go To https://developer.apple.com/download/all/?q=command%20line%20tools
Download XCode and Command Line Tools for Xcode 13.4. Unpack Xcode (13.4.1) and rename it (for example Xcode 13) and place it parallel to Xcode (14) in the programfolder.
.
Then install the Command Line Tool.
Now in Xcode (still 14) > Preferences > Location > Command Line Tools, select version 13.4.1 instead of 14. You can see the Path for it is "Application/Xcode 13".
For safety restart tools, and it worked again...
Update: With the last update of Visual Studio, the downgrade was no longer necessary for me. Since then I can build the apps with XCode 14 and the corresponding command line tools without any problems. So I suggest upgrading Visual Studio to the latest version first.
Here is how I made it work:
Download the former version here (note: you need a developer account)
Double-click on the downloaded .xip file to install XCode 13.4.1
Rename the newly installed XCode application into Xcode.13.4.1.app and move it into your Applications folder
Open the usual XCode application and go to the preferences
In the locations tab you will be able to select XCode 13.4.1 for Command Line Tools
Redownload Visual Studio?
It turns out Microsoft released a brand new Visual Studio at some point.
We haven't been in our Xamarin project for a while and even though it said there were no updates, no Simulators were showing up.
Our Visual Studio said the version was 8.10.25 yet when I was reading the release notes, they referred to version 17.3.7.
Our team had to download Visual Studio again and then we saw the version updated to 17.3.7.
So check your version of Visual Studio and redownload the newest one. That's what fixed this issue for us.
Latest update fixed the issue for me.
I had the same issue, while searching for answer I found this thread,
writing this to confirm that I took the latest update on 9th nov(NET 7 SDK). Issue seems resolved with latest update.
There is a more elegant solution to this problem. You need to upgrade Xamarin.iOS manually. The releases are on GitHub 16.0.0.72 did the trick for me.

Gradle sync failed: com.android.tools.idea.gradle.project.sync.idea.issues.SdkPlatformNotFoundException: Module: 'app' platform 'android-29' not found

Installed Android 4.1 on Ubuntu 20.04. Getting the following error:
Gradle sync failed: com.android.tools.idea.gradle.project.sync.idea.issues.SdkPlatformNotFoundException: Module: 'app' platform 'android-29' not found.
On opening the SDK manager I get the following screen:
I also executed
$ANDROID_HOME/cmdline-tools/tools/bin/sdkmanager --licenses
How to fix this?
------ edit ---------
This is what shows in the SDK Platforms tab. Unchecking the "Hide Obsolete Packages" doesn't change anything.
As the error is saying. Install the SDK Platform with API Level 29. YOu need to switch to the tab " SDK Platforms and install the right API Level:
-----------edit--------------
maybe you changed accidently your SDK location.
Mine is on C:\Users\elmo\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk
Pay attention: using it on windows.
go to the "sdk platforms" you can find it by click on navigate->find anywhere than enter "sdk"
than what you need is to find the api level you need (29 in your case) and check the box near it.
Go to File -> Project Structure -> Modules(Properties Tab) -> Change the compile Sdk Version and Build Tools Version to the the latest version available at the time

Flutter Error Failed to extract manifest from APK: Exit code -1073741515

Getting this error in android studio 3.5
Android Version 3.5
SDK 28
flutter latest version
Any one help me with this error? Getting this in windows 7 ultimate
Failed to extract manifest from APK: Exit code -1073741515 from: C:\Users\Shahryar Ahmed\AppData\Local\Android\sdk\build-tools\29.0.2\aapt dump xmltree C:\Users\Shahryar Ahmed\AndroidStudioProjects\flutter_app\build\app\outputs\apk\app.apk AndroidManifest.xml.
No application found for TargetPlatform.android_arm.
Is your project missing an android\app\src\main\AndroidManifest.xml?
Consider running "flutter create ." to create one.
Try to do a
flutter clean
This solved lots of problems for me
From Menu Goto Tools->Flutter->Flutter Clean.
as shown in below picture.
File->Invalidate Caches/Restart..
I encountered the same problem and I fixed it by deleting the app.apk in the build/app/ouputs/apk directory and it worked.
This problem happened to me .
and the error was that the file aapt.exe in this ( C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Android\sdk\build-tools\29.0.2\aapt.exe) is opened by antivirus .
the solution is : stop the antivirus and run again it will work .
also :
you can double click on aapt.exe file , if it opened by another program it will show what is this program , so you can stop or close this program and run again .
Consider opening as administrator your android studio .exe
I went through the same problem. I just uninstalled previous build in my emulator and did flutter run again... worked for me.
After this answer:
https://stackoverflow.com/a/68142732/14409491
I uninstalled the antivirus
Then I deleted all folders in the build-tools in C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\build-tools
After that, downloaded build-tools again from android studio
I was also facing this issue while using VS Code, then I tried running on Android Studio because sometimes issues are related to emulator.
Though running flutter clean on the terminal from the project
directly seemed to solve my problem. after that also get(pub get) your dependencies to avoid further build errors.

Android Studio 1.2: Error:Android Source Generator: [app] AndroidManifest.xml file not found

I updated to AS 1.2 and I just tried importing/opening one my previous projects that worked on the previous version of AS. However, when I try building the project, I get an error saying
Error:Android Source Generator: [app] AndroidManifest.xml file not found
but this doesnt make sense since my manifest is src/main folder. How can I fix this and avoid this problem for all of my other projects?
This also bothered me recently, and I'm guessing that Gradle wasn't building it right.
In my circumstance, I just hit the Sync Project with Gradle Files button at left of AVD Manager button. If possible, you can goes with Gradle command lines as well.
then it popped out some errors said that I failed to find Build Tools revision 21.0.2(also this had been installed again and again, assuming I didn't set it right).
After installed some SDKs, clicked finish, studio will automatically rebuild your project.
There it works, can run the project now.

NuGet; unable to get package as wrong version reported in Visual Studio 2012

I'm trying to build a solution but I get this error,
he 'Microsoft.Bcl.Build 1.0.14' package requires NuGet client version '2.8.1' or above, but the current NuGet version is '2.6.40619.9041'.
I've just upgraded NuGet package manager in Tools/"Extensions and Updates" which reports the version as 2.8.50313.31.
I've restarted VS2012, restarted the computer, cleaned the project and rebuilt, but I still can't get Visual Studio to recognise the new version and hence can't compile.
Thanks
Run Console (cmd) as Administrator
Locate your .nuget folder that contains the NuGet.exe file (you may check error message to locate the path)
execute this command NuGet.exe update -self
Took me all day to find that NuGet was bound to the individual project.
I had to use the package manager console and run
Install-Package Microsoft.Bcl.Build -Version 1.0.14
to get it to work manually.
Edit (5/11/2014). The problem is actually that Nuget gets bundled with the solution and it is this that needs upgrading. I did this by finding the directory in the project with the nuget.exe file in it (.nuget for me, YMMV) going to that directory and running nuget update -self. If you go with the original solution, you have to do this manually for each package. HTH.
This worked for me in VS 2017 Enterprise-
Right click your solution and go to "Manage NuGet Packages for Solution..."
In the window that opens up, click the gear icon at the top right corner.
Select "General" and click the "Clear Clear All NuGet Cache(s)" button. This will run for a few seconds depending on the size of your
cache.
Clean and rebuild your solution.
